PKNU Cultural Exchange – 17.1.2012

Posted on April 5, 2012April 6, 2012 By sweet surrender 2 Comments on PKNU Cultural Exchange – 17.1.2012

All right! I seriously can’t remember what we did on the 16/1/2012, no photos taken also LOL… I guess it was pretty boring, attending classes I think…

Today, it’s all presentations. We called it PPT day. The last 4 groups doing their presentation.

Left: Presentation by other group, about wedding of different countries.

Right: Can you spot me? Our group was talking about folktales. I was sharing with them about how Mount. Kinabalu got its name. We covered folktales from 4 countries namely Australia, Korea, Norway, and Malaysia because our group made up of people from these 4 countries.

At night, nothing much to do. Some said they’re going out drinking so I tagged along thought they were going to some place where they not only drink but also had food at the same time but they didn’t. We ended up at Monkey Bar, near the uni. That night it was my very first time dealing with drunk people -.-” oh dear… What an experience.

They said that if you didn’t get drunk here, your stay will not be a complete one. Oh well… How time flies? It’s almost the end of the program. It’s our final week before bidding goodbye to everyone.

PKNU Cultural Exchange – 15.1.2012

After we got back from our homestay, we went to play Wii.

This is one amazing place! TGE Space, near our uni. Not only you can play Wii here but also sing karaoke. We didn’t sing, instead we played Wii. My first time playing it, not bad, beginner’s luck 😉 They provide free flow snacks too! After that, we were all so tired and decided to just go back to the hostel to rest.

Nothing much to do so I took all my purchases out to take photos ;p I bought these over the weeks. These are just some, I still have more. The masks are all mine. Then the other products, 5 are mine, the other 5, I helped my friends to buy. It’s so cheap! Way cheaper than buying in Malaysia or Australia but these brands can’t be found in Australia.

That’s all for the day. I don’t remember where we went for dinner LOL and what we did that night, no photos taken that’s why.

Rundle Mall Autumn/Winter 2012

Posted on April 1, 2012 By sweet surrender No Comments on Rundle Mall Autumn/Winter 2012

It’s Rundle Mall Autumn/Winter 2012. It happened on 25-26 March. I remember I was there when I just arrived in Adelaide last year. It was my very first time watching the fashion parade that time. How time flies?!? It felt like just happened not long ago but it’s was one year ago!

I’m not going to edit the photos one by one, will just summarize it with these videos:

These were taken on 26th March 12pm session. Missed it on Friday because it was raining and I was lazy to go. Didn’t stay for the session after 12pm also because I’m lazy and not in the mood again. Oh well…

Nando’s @ Hindley Street

Posted on March 31, 2012March 31, 2012 By sweet surrender No Comments on Nando’s @ Hindley Street

Had a dinner at Nando’s Hindley Street last week.

We ordered 2 whole chickens with 2 large sides which cost us $45.50. There were 6 of us, 3 big eater and 3 small eater. Not enough! ;p Simply because the chickens were small. We had mild and extra hot.

As for the sides, we had fries and coleslaw. It’s not that spicy at all at least for our standard. What to expect when you have 4 Indians and 2 Chinese, all have high tolerance of spiciness. It was delicious though.

After dinner, we went to one of our friend’s apartment for a chat before calling it a night. It was also my 1st anniversary here but I didn’t tell them.

Government House Open Day 2012

Posted on March 29, 2012 By sweet surrender No Comments on Government House Open Day 2012

Government House Open Day was on 18th March, more than 10 daya go but only update it now hehehe… Didn’t tranfer the photo to the computer that’s why.

Found out about it on that day itself and decided to check it out even though I wasn’t really in the mood. However, I just didn’t want to waste the nice weather staying indoor!

Off I went, it’s near my place. Less than 5 minutes walk.

It’s the oldest current Government House in Australia, also the second oldest continuously occupied house in Adelaide.

You don’t get to go in on the normal days so this is the time it’s opened to public. Might as well don’t waste it, some more this might likely be my first and my last time here.

Admission was free.

The highlights of the day were:
– specially set up displays of exhibits within the State collection documenting Her Majesty’s service and visits to South Australia.
– the State dining table set with silver and crystal for a formal dinner.
– Australian paintings on loan from the Art Gallery of South Australia.
– where the police inspector was murdered in 1862. (Is it?!?!? I didn’t notice it!)

Was there for an hour. It was a lovely day even though my mood was gray. Still life goes on…

Why do you want to dig that far?
