Let me get this straight! This is not an advert! I’m not paid to blog for this.
I started to wear Maybelline Unstoppable Mascare since last year end. I had taken photos of it when I reached home after bought them from Watsons but strangely I couldn’t find them anywhere hmm… so I had to look for photos from the Internet.
Maybelline claimed that this mascara can lengthen your eyelashes as much as 50%, and it’s smudge-proof. Many girls sure wish to have lengthy eyelashes, they go all way to get it such as getting eyelashes extension, fake lashes or using mascara to achieve the effect. I’m not that crazy about the length of eyelashes however I cannot deny that long eyelashes with nice curve are pretty. The most important thing for me is smudge-proof.
Carol applied this mascara for me last year for my photo shoots at Alvin’s. Black color was used. Amazingly… It didn’t smudge at all after the mid-day shoot in the studio and after one whole afternoon under the hot sun. I was sweating profusely and the makeup melted but I didn’t get panda eyes at the end of the day even though had it on since the morning! Cool! From then on, I told myself to get this mascara when my old one finished or when it’s time to chuck away.
I don’t always apply mascara unless I need to attend functions or meeting clients(only when I have enough time to get ready before meeting them) else they are bare. I don’t use eyelash curler, usually I only apply 1 coat of mascara, sometimes 2, depends on my mood.
I applied 1 coat in this photo. So… Does Unstoppable lengthen my eyelashes? From the photos… It seems no difference. What do you think?
How about this? Seems lengthened a bit but not 50%. However, I was surprised by the curling effect. I didn’t expect it to curl my eyelashes but it did! Without eyelash curler summore!! Oh… It’s dark brown mascara instead of black. I’ve been using it for quite sometimes now and I dare to say that IT IS REALLY SMUDGE PROOF!!!
eh… not much difference I can see from the pic. I’m nuts abt mascaras too and from what I had found out through so many experimentation… is that as asians we’re not blessed with long thick lashes, and with so many mascaras out there, not one of the can be considered the Holy Grail Mascara… except if you combine them. Seriously, it’s the only way to make it prominent. Relying on only one… like didn’t put on like that. Pick one for lengthening, another one for volume (thickness) and maybe another mascara, AND on top of that, curl it with a battery-operated heated eyelash curler (it’s new type… not the clamping type – this one is a wand that you hold to your lashes, heat them up and the lashes stay curled).
Yeah… I know it’s very mahuan, but it’s the only way to make it more noticeable.
Wah… long comment. Sorry abt that!
Hehehehe… I’m not the kind that is nuts about mascara, so I don’t go all the way of doing all that. The purpose of me using mascara is to “hold” my eyelashes up, as in the second “before” photo, my eyelashes seemed “droppy”. So I don’t really care about lengthening or whatever coz I hate removing eye makeup! π Talking about lazy girl hahahah…
I took a whole lot of photos but just couldn’t get the right angle π That’s why it’s not obvious. Summore the background is black from the result of harsh flash so can’t really see the eyelashes π Actually it’s more prominent at the other eye(the one at the far end) but have to look at it very carefully.
ur stare is kinda spooky….eeeeee…*cover self under blanket*
ya, it did hold ur eyelashes together and give a bit of curl effect. hehehe….next time when i see u around, gonna stare at ur eyelashes.
I’m going to haunt you tonight! π Hahahah…
