Finally I’m back after going missing for more than a week. Was on a road trip from Kuching to Limbang and not to forget Brunei with Cats Rangers. It was an interesting road trip. So much to see, so much to learn. It has given me a different perspective of Sarawak. This is a huge state but each and every part of it plays different role in making Sarawak unique. No two places are the same.
Before this trip, the furthest road trip I ever made was to Betong. Now, finally broken the record. Traveling on the road is really scary, it’s an adventure for those who love it. For me, I don’t think I want to do it again unless it’s on a bus, not on a van. The road was extremely bumpy and lots of dangerous stretches.
I don’t think I will be able to update this blog for awhile, I’m back with sinus problem mainly due to the changes of environment and lack of rest.
Hopefully I’ll get well soon. Seriously need a proper rest now. Will update as soon as I can.
I would like to take the opportunity to thank CatsFM, CATS Perodua Rangers, Sarawak Bloggers, and Ministry of Tourism Sarawak for giving me the opportunity to discover Sarawak on the road.
You can always check out my Twitter (http://twitter.com/irenelaw) to get the summary of my journey.
How to promore Sarawak with bumpy road?
William, the bumpy road is something unique I must say which made the experience different. However, they seriously need to do proper maintenance to it. Then again, there’s always other ways to travel, air and river. Personally, I prefer air, don’t really like road trip no matter where I am, it’s taking up too much time and uncomfortable. From Miri to Kuching already takes 12-13 hours, I would be almost reaching UK already if I fly *LOL*
Irene, did you see ghosts in the hotel !!! If those were for real, you hit the jack pot as many people are really interested in those haunted places. Forget about crappy tourist traps. Haunted Hotels are the best attraction !!!
I didn’t see but those traveled with me did and some of then got disturbed :S… Some how as if I’m protected and things just came to me at the right timing to escape from it. It’s really an experience, always you hear people talking about it but once it happened to your travel mates and you’re there, it’s pretty scary but at the same time amused (only applicable if you are not the one who is at the receiving end).
