How’s MCO treating you? Hope all is well with you. We’ll need to stay at home again till 28 April 2020. Hope it will end soon. Here’s two more Sarawak Chinese Slang that I did on my YouTube channel.

Weekend is coming. I know there isn’t much difference these days, most people lost track of the days for staying home for too long. Whatever it is, let’s do our part to break this chain.

Posted on March 17, 2020March 17, 2020 By sweet surrender No Comments on Sarawak Chinese Slang Season 2 is Up!

It’s been awhile. Finally I got the second season of Sarawak Chinese Slang series up! Was procrastinating to do it until I realized I’m running out of things to vlog. There will be another 16 slang to share with you. Was thinking of doing it in a different way but I don’t have the resources for it, so for now it’s back to how it was done in Season 1.

Anyway, this is the introduction episode:

This is the first episode 😉

New episode will be up every Wednesday, 3pm on my YouTube channel. Feel to free to subscribe, hope I can reach 200 subscribers this year 🙂 If you have subscribed, thanks.

How to Prepare Hai Di Lao Self-Heating Hot Pot (海底撈懶人自煮自熱小火鍋 )? Only Need Water!

Posted on March 3, 2020March 5, 2020 By sweet surrender No Comments on How to Prepare Hai Di Lao Self-Heating Hot Pot (海底撈懶人自煮自熱小火鍋 )? Only Need Water!

Have you ever try self-heating hot pot? It’s been around for few years, finally I got to try it out myself. Pretty interesting.

The first one I bought was spicy beef tripe flavour. Not bad, I really like the tofu strips, beef tripe, and the spicy hot pot base. The crackers is quite nice too but I do not recommend you to add it into the hot pot, just eat it on its own. In fact all the ingredients provided are cooked and vacuum packed except the tofu strips. The heat generated by the self-heating pack is enough to heat them all up and cook the tofu strip. You can share this with 2 or 3 people and paired it with plain rice. Very flavourful, tastes exactly like the mala hot pot you have in hot pot restaurant. Even though it is spicy, it is not too spicy for me. If you can’t handle spiciness, then this flavour is definitely not for you. Check out the unboxing and the preparations in this video 😉

The next one is tomato chicken flavour. This one is not spicy. The broth is more on the sweeter side with subtle sour taste, a bit too sweet for my liking though. I also don’t like the chicken meat texture, it’s just werid hmm… The rest are OK. Here’s my unboxing and preparations video 🙂

Before I end this post, I must stress that DO NOT TOUCH the self-heating pack with wet hand or when it is already in the water. You are going to burn yourself! I watched quite a number of people unboxing this hot pot and handled the self-heating pack dangerously. Also, READ THE INSTRUCTIONS before you start! Different flavour has different sequence in unpacking the ingredients into the container.

Have fun trying it and let me know what do you think.

[Vlog] Follow-up Review of Candy Magic Mini Straightener

Posted on February 7, 2020January 23, 2020 By sweet surrender No Comments on [Vlog] Follow-up Review of Candy Magic Mini Straightener

Decided to make a follow-up video of this video on Candy Magic Mini Straightener that I bought last year because I didn’t test it fully on my hair, just a small chunk.

In this follow-up video, I tested it fully on my hair, the whole head of hair. Check out how effective and easy it is to use.

Hope this video can help you decide on whether this mini hair straightener is worth buying or not.

Blogging since 2002. Anything before 2006 is no longer available. It is no longer on this server. Back then, I built my own blog and updated it using HTML. No database or anything. Only started blogging fully with a CMS in 2006. However, whatever was on the Internet will stay on the Internet. So... It should be still somewhere on the Internet. Then again... Why do you want to dig that far?
