Kuching Entertainers’ Gathering 2007 – Part 2

Posted on November 26, 2007November 27, 2007 By sweet surrender 15 Comments on Kuching Entertainers’ Gathering 2007 – Part 2

Where is NTV7?!?!?! It’s been missing in action for days already! I want to watch CSI and Hell’s Kitchen!!!

Continue from Kuching EntertainersÒ€ℒ Gathering 2007 – Part 1

After eating, the performance started. This group is called Meteoras.

Left: This girl is… Can’t remember her name. She was supposed to be with her other team member but ended up alone because her team member couldn’t made it that day.
Right: Mix mix mix hahaha… Many people thought he’s T-MO-T *LOL*, this is DJ68.

This group is Fat Man Funk. It’s good but their performance was so looooooong! I heard that they were supposed to perform 3 songs but each of their song was so looooong! The organizers had to asked them to stop by trying to interrupt by singing or dancing to their beat(right photo) but they kept on playing. We were getting impatient also! It’s getting late already and they were running out of time! There were still so many performers. At the end, we noticed that some performance were skipped to make way for other bands to perform. Well… Can’t blame them also as I think they might have this miscommunication by not aksing the duration of the band performance, if they did, I’m sure there won’t be such problem.

Left: Finally something classic after hearing all the modern music. This is from CMC. I told Ben they’re his kids, he said they’re his grandchildren! *LOL*
Right: From “Wu Ling”, if I’m not mistaken they are doing shuffler or hip hop? I can’t really differentiate πŸ˜› Lighting was so bad! Why they like to use the red light!??!? It produced horrible photos! I had to do so much of editting to this photo but still not good. There’s another performance from them but the photo was so bad that I don’t want to edit anymore!

Left: *LOL* As Georgette put it, “The Drag Queen” -.-‘ This was not in the list, just happened that the organiser saw him and asked him to went up to the stage and had a brief interview with him while the other performers were busy setting up their musical instruments.
Right: Maximum performing to the max with their dancing and singing but hehehe… The singing is not live! Cheh! They were just Lip-synched.

WOW! Love this! Hehehe… Belly dancing but the lighting ruined my photos! GRRR!! For crying out loud! Please don’t use the red light OK!?!?!

Left: “Chao” means noisy in Chinese. Damn! You guys are so NOISY! Ish… I don’t like.
Right: This girl is performing solo unplugged. I can’t remember her name. She wrote and composed her own song. She was singing a song dedicated to her sister who had left this world.

Left: Leslie & Edwin also doing solo unplugged.
Right: Who else but Shal Sagan! I didn’t know she’s performing!

Left: Shal Sagan and her band. She will be debuting her new album in KL soon.
Right: FRANKIE! FRANKIE! YES! The long awaited performance by Starlight but too bad… All my photos turned out bad because of the shadows and the RED LIGHTING!!! You see Frankie? The one on the right in green t-shirt with a hat.

Left: Performance by SLaP!, one of the organisers.
Right: Dream Machine, no comment… I don’t remember what they were performing *LOL*

Left: LOOK GLADIEZZ! LOOK! See who’s there!?!??! Hehehe… Another long awaited performance by Pazuzu!! ZU ZU! ZU ZU! πŸ˜› Hahaha… we were kinda shocked that he actually performed that night too! Hahaha… He sang too! Gladiezz sure was high! Hahaha…
Right: Pazuzu is the one on the right. His band name is channel 1.

It’s was 11pm+ already. There were still other performances. Since Frankie and Pazuzu were done with their performances, it’s time to go home. Hehehe… Only went there to support them πŸ˜›

Keep it up!!

Kuching Entertainers’ Gathering 2007 – Part 1

Posted on November 25, 2007November 26, 2007 By sweet surrender 27 Comments on Kuching Entertainers’ Gathering 2007 – Part 1

ARG!!! *CRY* My nose super itchy since last night! I HATE cigarette smoke! Damn smelly, don’t understand why these people so like to smoke!??! YUCK! You thought very cool meh?!??! I don’t think so, to me you are just a bunch of people that trying to act cool! That’s why I hate crowds. You seldom see me in parties and crowded places. If possible, I usually avoid crowded places and places that allow smoking. It sucks! Make me sick only!

Went to Kuching Entertainers’ Gathering 2007 last night. We were there so early because we’re afraid that we won’t be able to find parking.

Left: Took one shoot before it started. Went to Crown Square to have a drink before going over.
Right: Went back at almost 7pm. Things were already setup. We went there as bloggers hehehe…

Left: Signed before went in but I didn’t sign. Couldn’t stand too many people smoking there. I escaped as fast as I could. Oh… It’s RM10 per person.
Right: Our drinks and fried rice. It was buffet dinner but we asked the guys to take the food and everything. We shared instead of taking our own food hehehe… Smart eh?

Left: Sausages, nuggets and fries.
Middle: Fried spaghetti.
Right: Curry chicken.

Left: Sandwich. I didn’t know got two types, I only ate the one with mayonnaise.
Middle: Why is the candle doing here!!??! We ate half way and BLACKOUT! We were in total darkness hehehe but it didn’t stop us from eating and chat loud loud πŸ˜› I think we, group of bloggers(me, Jimmy, Ben, Gladiezz, JF, Rose, Eve, T-MO-T, Ting, Ah Bao, Paul) are the loudest of all hehehe…
Right: JF asked for ice because he was sweating like *don’t know how to say* -.-‘ Then he got this idea of filling the bucket of ice with the drinks *LOL*

Left: Rambo(the guy standing, he’s from SLaP!, one of the organizers. I knew him way back in 1999 or 2000, forget hahaha… He doesn’t know me. That time my friends and I went to his dad’s shop to get the school magazine advertisement done and he also advertised his jamming studio too) came to entertain us during the blackout.
Middle: Ben, in the mood of pose nice nice for me hehehe… We had so much of camwhoring during the blackout! Hehehe.. Lots of camera flashes from our table. Bloggers…. What to do?
Right: Paul fanned Eve, it was so hot!

Left: We ate in the dark. Hahaha…
Middle: Frankie, he performed last night.
Right: Paul and Eve, so like to camwhore *LOL*

Something missing? You don’t see me right? Oh well… What to do? I’m the one behind the camera hehe…

Part 2 coming soon… Too many photos!

Sabati Women’s Museum

Posted on November 24, 2007November 24, 2007 By sweet surrender 10 Comments on Sabati Women’s Museum

This is actually a new museum, fairly new. It’s open not long ago. Located at Old Court House.

Nothing much to see but you can learn about the women in Sarawak that contribute their efforts in Sarawak’s education field to politics. My secondary school ex-principal’s face is there too and her face is display under two categories, education and politic.

She’s none other than Puan Fatimah(get to used to refer to her using Puan instead of Datin) hahaha… I really salute this woman, our school was nothing back then and when she came, it improved a lot and make quite a name for itself in various contests/fields. Besides that, our school experienced dramatic facelift also! She planted those flowers and picked up rubbish together with the students when we had weekly school cleaning session which every week several classes will participate in it. Sometimes when she’s free, she will do the gardening and picking up rubbish herself too.

She was only in our school for 1 year+ or 1 year? Can’t remember anymore hahaha… It was short but had changed a lot of things to our school.

Anyway, if you would like to learn more about these women, you can visit the museum.

Inter-Cultural Mooncake Festival 2007

Posted on September 23, 2007September 23, 2007 By sweet surrender 6 Comments on Inter-Cultural Mooncake Festival 2007

Went to Carpenter Street on Friday night. Took some photos but mostly not clear. It’s was so hot and humid because of the stupid haze! This event will end on the 25th September, started on 19th. It’s quite short compare to previous years.

Left: Riddle called “deng mi” in Chinese. So many people there trying to solve the riddle.
Right: So many people!!! Celcom was doing promotion there too. See the “x” in the middle of the photo? They walked around with that thing to promote. So funny.

Left: Some stalls.
Right: The lanterns at the temple. Light up the temple, very colourful.

This was quite funny, the guy wore the mask and trying to grab the attention of those walking below. Then out of sudden so many cameras pointed at him. When everyone done taking photos, I went closer and he posed for me, so funny. He sure does like to camwhore, see the “v” sign that he displayed. Hahaha…

Left: Walking musicians, they walked to everywhere, anywhere to entertain people around with English oldies.
Right: Maison Monica Academy has a stall there that provide haircut for only RM1(if I’m not mistaken). They are done by the students, the familair faces that I saw at Circle of Amour Snow Queen Contest. I mean the stylists not the models πŸ˜›

At the Old Court House.
Left: Some rides for the children.
Right: The bonsai exhibition.

Left: Bonsais and the trophies.
Right: Decorations around the Old Court House.

Left: Art exhibition by young artists. This year, no camera is allowed. Why? That’s why I couldn’t show you any photos.
Right:The Harmony Arch.

Left: BBQ vegetables.
Right: Hehehe… Saw the colourful balloon among the red lanterns.

That’s all for Friday night.

Went there yesterday afternoon for the Largest Charity Mooncake Sale.

Managed to take some photos of the art exhibition but taken through the glass. It’s not open during day time and no food selling during day time also.

Lastly, there are also have some stalls that let you play some games to win some prizes. You haveto pay of course.

Basically, that’s all about the this year Inter-Cultural Mooncake Festival.
