Life Without Internet

Posted on April 15, 2010April 16, 2010 By sweet surrender 6 Comments on Life Without Internet

We are relying too much on Internet these days. Can you live without it? For me? I CAN’T!

There was an outage just now and I had no more backup to go online as I canceled my Celcom Broadband. I don’t have the new kind of phone that allows me to go online, the most I could do is tweet using SMS. I was pretty restless just now hahaha… Really… Without Internet, I got nothing else to do. You can see how much I rely on the Internet everyday and how much time I spend online(at least 11 hours a day if I’m not going anywhere). I felt like something was missing. See how addicted I am ;p

Few hours is fine but if it’s more than 24 hours, I don’t think I can stand it unless I’m in somewhere with totally no Internet connection. In that case, for a day or two is fine with me. Cannot too long though, part of my income relies on the Internet. Without it, I would be broke!

How about you?

What if one day the Internet connection is down all over the world? What will happen? I really cannot think of the consequences, the world would be in a huge chaos!

Can’t Live Without Internet *Giggle*

Posted on January 7, 2010January 3, 2010 By sweet surrender 2 Comments on Can’t Live Without Internet *Giggle*

I used to bring my laptop along with me when I travel to ensure that I can easily find a place for Internet access. I’m sure I’m not the only one doing so ;p

I went to Singapore with Nokia 5800 XpressMusic, I swapped my phone with my brother. My aunt’s place didn’t have Internet so I had to find Internet connection whenever I’m out to check my blog, e-mails, and so on. Thought I could register for free WiFi available in Singapore but I couldn’t as my SIM card wasn’t belong to any Telco in Singapore. So my friend let me used his account.

I had a bit of difficulty using the phone because I was not familiar with it. Typing with it was quite hard especially when I need to key in the password for the WiFi, it’s long, it’s alphanumerical, and it’s case sensitive. Basically, it’s only used for Internet access, not phone calls, SMSes, or MMSes as I was on roaming and we had a Singapore number.

This time, I’m going to KL with Samsung i8510 INNOV8. It’s also my bro’s phone, he sold off his Nokia and then he got Sony Ericsson w995. I thought I would be using this for my KL trip but he sold it off again to get a Samsung.

I’m bringing two phones with me. Samsung is for the Internet. I have my Celcom Broadband SIM card in there so that I do not have to hunt for free WiFi even though the place I’m staying provide free Internet but I just don’t want to lug that bulky laptop with me. Then my old trusty Sony Ericsson K800i will be my phone.

How good is this Samsung? I have no idea ;p This post was written days ago before my trip but it’s a bit hard to navigate as I’m not used to it.

The again, I don’t really mind, as long that I can get into the Internet, it is good enough.

Elianto Online Shopping

Posted on December 7, 2009December 8, 2009 By sweet surrender 3 Comments on Elianto Online Shopping

I went online shopping at elianto.biz(apparently, the site is blocked due to security problem but actually the real online shopping site is not here, this is the one http://www.epayasia.com.my/elianto/) few weeks ago. I know… I know… I didn’t have to do that as there’s an outlet here at tHe Spring but I’m so lazy to go there to hunt for the products, didn’t have such time too. Who knows the products I need might not be in stock then it would be a waste of time.

The stuffs you see here are not for me. I was actually helping a friend from overseas to buy the products since they do not accept Paypal and there’s some restrictions with shopping online using her credit card.

So I ordered based on her shopping list and the package was sent to my doorstep few days later. Since the amount wasn’t entitled for free shipping, RM15 shipping fee was charged.

The site is very easy to use and as long that you have a credit card, you can buy the products you want online.

Just one down side, if only they accept Paypal, it would be much easier and can generate more overseas sales.

So if you are as lazy as I am, just go online and buy.

Blogging since 2002. Anything before 2006 is no longer available. It is no longer on this server. Back then, I built my own blog and updated it using HTML. No database or anything. Only started blogging fully with a CMS in 2006. However, whatever was on the Internet will stay on the Internet. So... It should be still somewhere on the Internet. Then again... Why do you want to dig that far?
