I De Beauty Aromessence Facial Treatment

Posted on November 20, 2009November 21, 2009 By sweet surrender 5 Comments on I De Beauty Aromessence Facial Treatment

I know this post is long but do read it as I will have something for you at the end of the post ;p

Remember I went to have my first ever full course facial 2 weeks ago? I won it from the contest conducted by Borneon.com. Then not long after that, they contacted me to write about it in my blog by giving me the chance to do it again. So in other words, I went for Aromessence Facial Treatment that worths RM250/session twice! One as a contest winner, another one as a blogger. I’m so lucky ;p

This treatment is available at I De Beauty. It’s located at Jalan Tabuan. Near Chung Hua Primary School No.1, you know the ex-Mayfair? If you are standing at Teochew Association, just look to the row of shops opposite on your left and you can see it.

I know… RM250/session is EXPENSIVE! Impossible can do it so often. Tell you what, this is not normal facial, it comes together with 10 minutes back massage and also upper body massage, whole session takes more or less 2 hours. They are using products from Decleor from Paris. Veribel products are available too but this is for different package.

I had tried it twice. They’re good! Great for relaxation. I have better sleeps ever since I had this treatment. As for my face, I found it easier to apply makeup and my skincare products absorb better too.

I don’t quite remember the steps of the facial treatment as I was half asleep and just relax my mind from thinking about anything but it’s roughly like this:

Consultation -> back massage -> cleanse the face -> apply a type of mask to soften the blackheads and whiteheads(they don’t use steamer here) -> extraction of blackheads and whiteheads -> trim eyebrows -> upper body massage(back, chest, shoulder, face and head) -> mask(face, eyes, lips) -> tone and moisturize -> consultation with a cup of tea -> DONE!

With the promotion now, you can do it more often. I had already signed up for the RM599 package which is originally priced at RM2500 for 10 sessions. Currently they are having promotion. Only RM599 for 10 sessions. In other words, it’s only RM59.90/session. That’s so affordable!

You can compare it with the usual facial you get elsewhere. This is more worth it. I’m sure you don’t get massage with the usual facial package that costs almost the same price.

You can also opt for RM399 for 5 sessions. There is no deadline in completing the whole package. Remember that this is November promotion. Quickly grab it before it’s too late.

You know what? Christmas is around the corner. Why don’t you take this opportunity to get this package as a gift for your loved ones?

By the way, this treatment is suitable for women and men. They welcome men to do facial treatment too.

They also have various types of beauty treatments for your face and/or body. If you want to sign up for the said package or want to know more about this facial treatment, just contact I De Beauty (you can tell them you find out about it from my blog):
I De Beauty
Lot 119 & 120, Section 33, KTLD,

Tel: 082-233771 / 236771

Done reading? ;p

I have two vouchers for Aromessence Facial Treatment worth RM250 to giveaway to two readers(only for those located in Kuching). I will have the contest in few days time and it’s related to this post. Stay tuned!

Facebook Games (2)

Posted on November 14, 2009 By sweet surrender 4 Comments on Facebook Games (2)

Remember the previous post about Facebook games? I found more new games and have been playing daily. Just to kill my boredom and need to relax my mind after all those stress. I prefer games that don’t need to use much time. All I need is go in to maintain after a period of time. I don’t like games that need you to be in front of the computer to be able to play, it’s too much work.

Let’s talk about games developed by Zynga.
I’m currently very into Cafe World. Cook, cook, cook and level up. Of all the Zynga games, this is the one I like most. Easy to level up and easy to earn money. Of all the games, this is the game I have the highest level.

I hope they don’t make some stupid upgrade that kill the fun just like in the other game that I will share later.

Next, it’s Farmville, been playing it for quite a while but I got a bit bored with it now. It’s getting hard to level up. Harvesting the crops takes so much time especially when you have a big farm. After harvesting, you need to plow the land again, then plant again. Really takes up lots of time. Even with the machines now, it doesn’t help much because the fuel is limited and you can only buy them with hard cold cash instead of the coins you earn in the game.

There’s animals to tend to also and harvesting their produces one by one is really time consuming. The trees too, so time consuming. I used to level up very fast but now I’m slowing down. Too much time needed for this game.

Fishville is the latest game from Zynga. Not really my kind of game coz I need to feed the fish. Still I’m playing it just to see how fast this game can level up and earn coins. I don’t like the colours, pretty dull. This game has not hang my system yet but just like any other Zynga games, sooner or later it will.

One last Zynga game that I’m not really playing, Roller Coaster Kingdom. I used to like it a lot until they implement some stupid upgrades that got so many players angry and quit the game. Used to be able to earn fast and level up fast but now, it takes ages! It was as simple as opening your park and people just pouring in automatically.

Now, you get one big park with nobody in there. You have to book rides for people to visit your theme park, it’s not free summore, you have to spend coins to get people to come. Even with the booking system, visitors that come to your park are so little and you got one huge park with so little visitors and spending so little money that can’t even cover the new rides/stalls that you build or even cover the cost of booking the rides.

For this game, I only log in to receive daily gift(if I’m in the mood), put in new rides if people send a ride to me, activate the visitors if people send visitors to me, and receive coins if people send to me. That’s all. Since I started playing it during the early stage, I had made lots of coins and leveling up but for new players, I really pity them. I wonder when will they be able to get such money to expand their parks. Everything is priced so high too.

This game hangs the hell out of my system. The worst one. This is also the worst game of all.

There are many fun games in Zynga but what I don’t like about Zynga games is that they hang my system a lot which is why after maintaining whatever the games needed, I will log out of the games. I won’t leave them open.

Enough of Zynga games. Let’s go to other games.
Fish a Fish is also a game I seldom play. I started playing it out of curiosity then I got bored of it. When my sister was back in Kuching, she’s the one playing this game using my account ;p Since she’s not here now, the game is going no where. I log in daily just to get the daily prize. Sometimes I’ll play it but will just fish a fish or two. This game is boring and it requires on the spot interactions which is time consuming.

Lastly, it’s Country Story by Big Fish. Big Fish is always known for its cute graphic. The graphic is cute and nice but I don’t quite like the game. Very time consuming to play but I do log in almost everyday. It’s hard to earn money unless you go to visit your neighbours and do many tasks. It’s time consuming, it needs interactions from you. However, there are also tasks such as planting crops and feeding the animals. You can just leave them and come back when it’s time to harvest.

That’s all about the games I’m playing. Actually there are few more but I’ll talk about them some other time.

How about you? Which game you like most? Which game you hate most?

My Virgin Experience With Fake Lashes

Posted on November 12, 2009November 12, 2009 By sweet surrender 8 Comments on My Virgin Experience With Fake Lashes

I bought a pair of fake lashes few years back but I ruined them by cutting them wrongly ;p Since then I never get any or even try any.

During the make up session for Ambassador Hunt, I decided to buy the cheapest fake lashes they have at Stage. Initially I didn’t want to buy and just asked them to do their best with mascara and curler to make my lashes looked thicker and longer but at the end I changed my mind.

Since there will be people applying for me and then cut them into the length suitable for me and also teach me how to wear it, why not? I thought they will cut the fake lashes to suitable length but they didn’t cut them because they were just the right length for me.

This was the cheapest fake lashes that they have, it cost RM25 but I got it at discounted price(below RM20) using other people’s membership. If there’s no discount, then I wouldn’t bother getting them because I didn’t have enough money to pay for parking if I got the fake lashes. I was so broke that day.

My eye makeup was the fanciest if I’m not mistaken. There were two people that did my eye makeup. They gave me cat eye makeup. I always wanted to try out this kind of eye makeup and finally I got the chance that day.

Since I’m using fake lashes, they didn’t apply anything to my original lashes not even curling them. Not very used to have fake lashes at the beginning but I got used to them not long after that. I’m so into fake lashes now! Oh no! This will also mean I have another reason/thing to spend money on again ARG! Girls… ;p That’s bad… I must not get another pair for now, just stick to this one until it can no longer be used.

How can I not camwhored when I’m at home right? Not everyday I got my makeup professionally done, must take many photos if not really wasted ;p

I wore them the next day to class because I accidentally got them stuck on my eyelash base because of the glue residue that were there to hold the lashes in the box. I couldn’t remove them unless I use eye makeup remover but I was lazy so I just wore them and applied a bit of brown eyeshadow. I love the effect! This photo was taken using my phone.

I guess I will use fake lashes instead of mascara for now if I’m lazy ;p It’s less messy and less time required to remove makeup. I don’t need eyeliner also because they have the effect as if I already applied eyeliner.

At least I have no regret investing in this, I love them so much.

Avon True Colour Eyeshadow Quad

Posted on September 25, 2009September 25, 2009 By sweet surrender No Comments on Avon True Colour Eyeshadow Quad

These two Avon True Colour Eyeshadow Quads were given to me by Ann as my birthday present. There’re two other products, will write about them some other time. Thanks girl!

Played around with them for sure. Here are the results even though the effects aren’t that obvious, tried hard to capture the colours but didn’t quite get them. The colours are much more obvious in real life.

This is Purple Haze Quad. Love the colours. Finally got dark shades for my eyeshadow collection.

For highlighting the brow bone, I used lilac(top left).

For the inner lid and over half of the upper lid, I used amethyst(bottom left). I applied more inner eyelid but less intense for the upper eyelid

For the overall upper lid, I swept some purple(top right) over the middle and blend it to both ends, so that it has fading effect. At the same time, also blended the edges of amethyst with purple so that it won’t look as if there’s obvious line that separate both colours.

I tried to line my upper lash line with black ice(bottom right) but failed, so I just smudge it to blend with amethyst. I managed to line my lower lash line. However, not long after that, the colour was gone. Better stick to eyeliner.

Next, this is the Romantic Quad. I love the colours too even though blue eyeshadow is something I don’t really like because when it’s on my skin, it looked quite dirty, doesn’t seem like blue but for this it’s not that bad.

For highlight, I used white gold(top left). I also applied a bit at the inner corner of my eye to make the eye brighter and open up.

I decided to use both minty(top right) and lagoon(bottom left) for inner and upper lid. Minty on the left, lagoon on the right. Blended both the colour in the middle.

I tried to line metal rose to the upper lash line but failed also so I just blended it in with minty and lagoon. I just lined the lower lash line with it to define the eye. The pink is surprising a very nice colour but again it’s gone not long after that.

The final result, no other make up on except eye shadows and a bit of mascara. Ignore my skin condition, having terrible skin these days. ARG!

Left: Purple Haze.
Right: Romantic.

Johnson & Johnson 1-Day Acuvue

Posted on September 24, 2009September 25, 2009 By sweet surrender 2 Comments on Johnson & Johnson 1-Day Acuvue

I decided to try out daily disposable contact lens for my Singapore trip because I’m quite tired of cleaning it, rinsing it, storing it at places I’m not familiar with. I had some not-so-nice experiences during previous trips.

I had no proper place to air dry my lens case, either afraid that the housekeeping people might introduce dust into my case if I air dry it outside of the bathroom or wet it when they clean the bathroom with water or their chemical if I air dry it the bathroom or travel partner accidentally wet my dried case when using the sink at the end of the day.

There were many brands to choose but ended up with Johnson & Johnson 1-Day Acuvue because the rest got not much pairs and prices were slightly higher. I don’t remember the price of this box of lenses though. I think it’s RM70 or is it RM75? There were 15 pairs in there. I brought 6 pairs and damaged 1 pair when trying to take it out from the blister pack. Luckily I brought an extra pair else I won’t have enough for the last day.

I used it for more than 12 hours a day when I was in Singapore. It’s quite comfortable and easy to use but a bit too fragile. That explains why I tore* two lenses, on the second and fourth day ;p Was expecting it to dry up pretty fast but it didn’t.

*Update: I just found out that it’s not me who was being clumsy for tearing them! I did a check on the blister packs just now and found out that there’s one lens folded inside one of the packs! This means… The previous 2 lenses were already folded in the pack and I tore it while trying to open them up.

In normal circumstances, the lens should be able to unfold itself in the unopened blister pack. I kept thinking that I’m the one that made the lens stuck together when trying to take them out from the blister packs but it’s not after seeing what I saw this morning in one of the blister packs.

So if it’s already folded together in there, there is no way for you to unfold it without tearing it. Let’s see… 30 lenses, 3 damaged ones. So do not expect to get a full box of usable lens unless you are very lucky.

Saved me all the trouble of rinsing and cleaning the case and the lens. Saved lots of time and so convenient. Put on in the morning, removed and threw at the end of the day.

How I wish I can switch to daily disposable contact lens but it’s too pricey for me. Monthly contact lens is still more affordable for me because of my usage.

However, I will bring daily disposable lens with me if I’m going out of town from now on.

Oh by the way, the blister packs are very sharp, cut my finger with it -.-“
