Maxis 3G In Kuching

Posted on July 15, 2007July 15, 2007 By sweet surrender 15 Comments on Maxis 3G In Kuching

Oh… If you guys sometimes do strike up a chat session with me in Gmail and I didn’t entertain you, please don’t hate or think that I ignore you. Once I logged in my Gmail, I usually will just let it there without closing the window and not bothering to change my status in there because I’m don’t bother about the chat function hahaha… So if you did send a chat to me, I won’t know unless it happens that I go to check my mail. Just to let you know πŸ™‚

I’m sure many of you know that Maxis 3G is here in Kuching now. Previously only Celcom, now Maxis is in. When will be DiGi turn? To promote this new service of Maxis, they have a mini exhibition at Tun Jugah. I went there yesterday night. Not sure how long it will last.

You can find out more on what 3G can do for you there.

You’ll be given a card and several brochures by the promoters when you are there. The card is for you to explore the stations at the exhibition. There are 4 stations(or 5… Forgot :P), when you are in each station, they will show you what you can do with Maxis 3G. You can play games, watch TV, monitor your home with your mobile phone and what else? Hehehe… I didn’t really pay attention to it πŸ˜› I’m sure you can learn more from Maxis. Just to let you know that, this Maxis is not related to the Maxis that develop the game called The Sims. Hehehe… That’s one of my favourite games. However, you can play this Maxis game with Maxis 3G πŸ˜› Got confused already?

After station hopping, you will need to fill in your particulars in the card and then they will give you a free gift. Guess what? It’s a PEN(photo on the right)! πŸ˜› Hahaha…

Here are some details about Maxis 3G in Kuching from The Borneo Post:

Maxis 3G is backed by Maxis high speed EDGE network which covers 69.7 per cent of Kuching. The City currently has 90.5 per cent 2G coverage, and 3G is three times faster than EDGE and six times faster than GPRS.

Kuching is now totally covered by Maxis high speed network and its coverage encompasses more than half of the city. The areas covered included Petra Jaya, Pending Industrial Area, the town centre (Padungan and commercial hub), Batu Tiga and Tabuan.

TOWN?!!?!? We are downgraded to TOWN now. Ah well…

My final post for DiGi Fu-Yoh! Street Blast. Backstage of course! What’s the use of VIP access if we don’t go to backstage? We went to backstage twice. Saw many of the artistes lingering outside the changing room, so we simply grabbed hold of anybody that we saw on stage to take photos with them πŸ˜› Better than nothing, it’s not everyday that you have the chance to do like this right?

Left: Liang for you!
Right: Urban Method!!

Left: The most precious photo! With Jason Lo!!! Thanks DiGi!!
Rigth: Guess who we met there? Georgette!!! She was there to cover the event for her column. She did blog about us and you can see Lo posing with Ducky!! She wanted to grab the opportunity to be one of the VIPs too but she gave it a go and let us have it. She’s also a member of Advertlets.

Quick! Want to have fun like us? Get your Fu-Yoh today.

I will have some videos to show you guys soon. For the time being, go get your FU-YOH~~~

p/s: I think I know where the yellow men went already. Must be kidnapped by Ruhaizad and mybloggo(sorry, don’t know your name) and brought them around Sabah for a holiday. Hehehe… Just joking… πŸ˜› They are actually the bloggers that were lucky to be picked for DiGi Fu-Yoh! Street Blast at Sabah on 2nd June.

We saw many people lining up to meet them on Saturday night. Of course, the 5 of us that were selected as VIP get to meet them first since we were allowed to be in there since before the blast started. I’ve never go to backstage, this is really an experience.

By the way, do reload you phone credit to stand a chance to win a Perodua Viva or MZ Mantizz motorbike. I reloaded my phone the day before they launched the campaign -.-” Nevermind, I will reload next month again and who knows… The Viva will be mine!!!

Ok… Ok… Enough of this. Audiences managed to get some DiGi merchandise on the spot. I got one too, a mousepad with huge mouth and 3 piercings on the tongue πŸ˜› Hehehe… It happened to fall on my head when they threw it over to the audiences.

Here are photos of the audiences and the artistes.

Left: Urban Method giving out freebies to their fans.
Middle: The announcers of the night, can’t remember his name πŸ˜› He gave out a lot too!!!
Right: I WANT THOSE FREEBIES!! FREEBIES falling from the sky! CATCH IT! *SMACK* One of the freebies fell on my head hahaha… This guy actually stood up of his chair and manage to catch those flying freebies from the sky hahaha…

Left: Gerhana Ska Cinta interacted with their fans. This guy actually rapped. He was required to rap about Fu-Yoh! WOW! He’s really good! He got a CD from Gerhana Ska Cinta which isn’t out in the market yet if not mistaken. Cool eh?!?!?
Middle: Two more fans were asked to go up to the stage and dance to their song. It was hilarious. They are more like kicking football then dancing πŸ˜› We all had a good laugh over it.
Right: Sing along… The fans were really enjoying every moment and chance they had with their favourite artistes.

Left: Getting closer to her fans.
Right: 4 girls were asked to go up to the stage for some games. They had to say “Fu-Yoh!” in the most sexiest way possible. Guess who won the grand price of DiGi merchandise, a poster and a t-shirt that are signed by the artistes? Of course it’s the one in short skirt hahaha… Who cares about what she said, they were engrossed with her legs and short skirt πŸ˜›

Left: After the girls, it’s the guys turn. Same thing, they had to say “Fu-Yoh!” but in very masculine way. -.-” I think the girls were better.
Middle: Lo!!! Gave out the mousepads to his fans by throwing them from the stage. So many mousepads fell from the sky!!
Right: He threw the keychains or phone straps I think.

Enough of the freebies… Go visit Fu-Yoh! website to learn more and sign up at your nearest DiGi and enjoy all the freebies, surprises and invites that you can get as a subscriber.

DiGi Fu-Yoh! Street Blast – The Artistes

I’m sure you are waiting for this part… Wondering who are the artistes? Actually we don’t really know who they were too and we kept asking each other who they were πŸ˜› Thanks to DiGi for giving us the chance to let us know our local artistes. If not becasue of this, I’m sure we are all still in dark that there are actually so many good performers locally. It’s something to be proud of. “DiGi-Always The Smarter Choice” is so RIGHT! I’m a DiGi subscriber, this means I’m smart too! *BLEK*

First up… Urban Method. Hahaha… We thought it’s Urban Matter at first πŸ˜› They are more towards rap and hip hop.

Liang was next. Hmm… Why is he wearing sunglasses at night? So funny. Hahaha… He couldn’t stand still -.-” So hard to take his pic with his face facing us. He kept kicking his foot too πŸ˜›

Gerhana Ska Cinta was up next after all those kickings by Liang hahaha… The audiences really loved them a lot! So many fans! The fans were so excited and after the last song they kept going “ONE MORE! ONE MORE! ONE MORE!” WOW! So, they sang extra two songs just for their fans.

Now… It’s Joe Flizzow from Too Phat turn. You know, I thought Liang went up the stage again. -.-” They both don’t have hair and wear sunglasses. LOL… Apparently Adrian thought that too. We are really not into local music scene, this is really an eyeopener for us. Who’s that orange t-shirt guy? I don’t know πŸ˜› By the way, we are all smart people πŸ˜› Since we are all DiGi subscribers hehehe… Don’t throw smelly eggs to us *run away*

*Screaming with joy* Hahaha… Nuh~ I didn’t do that but the audiences were. Finally!!! The most awaited man is here!!! LO! LO! LO! WOHOOO! FU-YOH~~~

The CLIMAXXxxXx! Must go to the backstage to take photo with him. Must, must, must! His songs really rocked everybody, I found myself shaking to the beat too. I have never encounter Jason Lo in such near distant and my oh my… This is my first time see him singing right in front of me. I like his songs though I’m not a big fan of him. He’s from Kuching. Very talented guy and I know many girls are crazy over him hahaha… Guys too. I’m sure you will be very jealous… When you see my coming post… Hehehehe…

By the way, there’s one very handsome drumer in one of the perfomances. Hehehe… I thought I’m the only one thought that he’s handsome, Alysha thought so too. We girls had heaps of eye candies to see last night. Too bad, only one female artist there so no eye candies for the guys πŸ˜›

Ok… There will be two more post coming up… Stay tuned!

DiGi Fu-Yoh! Street Blast – Warming Up

It’s DiGi Fu-Yoh! Street Blast! Reach Kuching Amphitheatre at around 6.15pm I think… Adrian was the earliest to reach there. Then we waited for Alysha and Ben. Ben was the last one to arrive. πŸ˜› By the way, I’m going to blog about this in parts. There are so many photos!!! Took me few hours to edit. What to do? My camera couldn’t do much good job with bad lightings.

First of all, thanks to Advertlets and DiGi for giving us in East Malaysia a chance like this. πŸ™‚ Thanks again DiGi!

Before that, THE YELLOW MEN WERE MISSING!!! They were no where to be seen the whole night! -.-” So… No photos of them πŸ™

Left: The entrance.
Right: We looked for Eric when we reached there. We were supposed to call him up but instead we directly called out his name πŸ˜› Since Alysha manage to know who’s Eric from her friends that worked there. After we got our passes, as bloggers, what do you think we will do next? Of course take photos of our VIP passes! We got “All Access” but hmm… Don’t know where else can access? We did went to backstage but nothing to see. The guys managed to use and visit the VIP changing room πŸ˜› They told us, there are 2 big screen TVs in there and the X-Gamers were busy playing video games! WAH! Alysha and I couldn’t find the female VIP changing room, only noticed it later. However, didn’t visit it hahaha…

The stage for performance and half pipe for X-Games.

Left: Hehehe… Who else? Us! (L-R)Adrian, Jimmy, me, Ben, and Alysha. This is a MUST!
Right: The stage again. This time with lightings.

The X-Gamers performed their stunts. It’s so hard to take photos of them. Summore it’s dark too! That’s why the photos look bad. They should perform while waiting for the show to start. Ish, ish, ish… They only started their performance when those on the stage started to perform. Who’s going to see you? DUH~

The crowds. It was pathetic! Luckily towards the middle of the night, more and more people coming in and I noticed something. Do you notice anything in this photo? Those on the left were there to relax and they sat quietly enjoying the show. Those on the right were there to be wild!!! I guess the 5 of us are more to the left side πŸ˜› You know we were so close to the artistes but we were such “good” boys and girls hahaha… Actually we could go very close to them at the stage to take close-up photos but none of us went. I know… I know… What a waste? Hahaha… We were lucky that the RELA officers didn’t stop us for going so near. They let us roamed around as long that we did not disrupt the show. Told you already… We are very good one… πŸ˜›

Subconciously, the audiences were “splited” into two sides. Those that want to stand up will move to the right side and those that want to sit and enjoy will stay put at the left side. At least this showed that the audiences were considerate enough. πŸ™‚ Thumbs up to this!

B-Boys Crew! I thought they’re Alysha’s boys but they were not. If they were her boys, sure she would take lots and lots of photos of them πŸ˜›

Ok… Part one done… The best is always at the end… FU-YOH~~ Meanwhile, be sure to sign up for Fu-Yoh! to enjoy events like this in the future.
