Minex Jewellery’s ‘Finder’s Keepers’ Christmas Treasure Hunt‏ Finale

Posted on December 24, 2008December 26, 2008 By sweet surrender 8 Comments on Minex Jewellery’s ‘Finder’s Keepers’ Christmas Treasure Hunt‏ Finale

Today is Christmas’s eve, it also marks the end of Minex Jewellery’s ‘Finder’s Keepers’ Christmas Treasure Hunt.

Everyone gathered at Tun Jugah and wanted to try our luck picking a box from the 300 boxes laid out on the table. Only two boxes contained the treasure. I TELL YOU! It’s unbelievable but it’s true. What is the possibility of winning twice in a row!?!?? It’s such a lucky day for eggyolk. No cheating here, even though most winners were bloggers, it’s all about luck!

Everyone was supposed to have one chance only but during the first round, only one was found. So there’s second round and that’s when miracle happened! It’s found by the same person that found the first one!

They got BOTH! They sapu everything today! Without leaving anything for us hahaha… Not even a single bit! DAMN LUCKY! How lucky can that be!?!? RM5000 worth of diamond pendent with 17 diamonds on it and another one that costs about RM800 with 4 diamonds on it. Even in my dream I won’t be dreaming I got both. MAN! I tell you, they were really really LUCKY!

Besides that, they won the previous hunt on 22/12/2008.

In other words, they got 3 treasures in just two days and they got them all in very short period of time.

Told you… What’s not yours, will not be yours. Luckily I didn’t put any hope at all on today’s hunt. Congrates to eggyolk and Merry Chirstmas to everyone!

JJ Lin in Kuching

Posted on December 18, 2008December 17, 2008 By sweet surrender 11 Comments on JJ Lin in Kuching

Thanks to Jimmy and International Times for the invitation to cover this charity event. No, I don’t get VIP tickets, all I got was worker pass, means no place to sit, you either stand the whole night or sit on the floor or find somewhere can sit to sit.

Left: 3 more “colleagues” *LOL* The 3 handsome guys, Calvin, Fahriee, Norman *LOL*
Right: The dancers started the show of the night. So hard to take pictures of them as the smoke was overwhelming!

Mike? 😛 He’s the winner of the JJ singing contest that was held last month at Wisma Saberkas. I was thinking he will have chance to duet with JJ but he didn’t. I think he should be given this chance. The other two were the MCs of the night.

Those who are crazy about JJ, here you go… All these photos are dedicated to you!

Want more? This lucky girl got so “close” to him hehehe… They were playing game, they had to dance like JJ, few simple steps and they got some prizes, no idea what. I think maybe it’s CD.

One and only lucky shoot but not very clear when he’s doing the “stunt” and more photos for you, the fan of JJ to drool.

More… More… Then, it’s time to come down to greet the VIPs, I didn’t manage to get his photo, too fast and people were protecting him from being “attacked” by crazy fans. I was only few inches away from him when he walked passed. This is the only photo I could get of him greeting the VIPs.

It’s a charity “concert”. The proceeds are for Mental Health Association of Sarawak.

Souvenirs for JJ and the autograph session began.

The closest I could get. Wonder whose hand was that? I’m sure she “melted”. You see how JJ looks at her hahaha…

One last shoot. I didn’t get this shoot when Rynn was here.

On the last note, I’m sorry to say that there were some bloggers that were given with free tickets used someone’s name to cheat their way to the stage during autograph session to take photos! Only those authorised with special pass could go up, even us with pass didn’t go up because there were too many people on the stage. This had caused dissatisfactions to the organiser and you had caused unwanted inconveniences to the person that gave you the tickets.

You people know who you are. Therefore, I don’t think there will be anymore free tickets given out in near future. We will just close the invitation to several bloggers that we will pick randomly to have special access provided we will still be given the opportunity to do so. No more giving out some free tickets to others to watch the show and later cheat their way tru’ with someone’s name to gain access into prohibited zone. I doubt these people read my blogs anyway. Don’t blame us for not giving out free tickets to anything in near future because those minority had screwed the chance for other bloggers.

First of all I would like to apologise for being late in posting the riddle in my Twitter because I lost Twitter’s number in my phone and I didn’t have Internet connection to look for it also.

By the time I got the number, I found out that somebody found the treasure already! Guess what?!?! I met them at Minex! Right on time they went to claim the gift! Else I won’t know. Actually did try my luck for hours to hunt around Kuching in the morning but to no avail, it’s at Friendship Park under those litters under the cyrtostachys renda. I went to so many places but Friendship Park, how silly can that be!?!?

See the winners? They both found it and now they are discussing who should keep it! *LOL* It’s Norman and Fahriee, lucky guys!

Oh well… Even if I knew it’s at Friendship Park, it was long gone already coz the founders found it way before I’m out of the house or even not in time to reach there before them(they stay nearby) and they even got the mood to go celebrate before reporting the find. *SWEAT*

I’m really sorry about the delay and make you miss it today. I will try my best to post it as early as I could tomorrow. I’m really really sorry.

Oh! I just remember, Benjamin was the riddle yesterday! He wore specs!! *LOL* At one point, I did stare at his specs for a while so paiseh *LOL* See the sign again!?!? WAH! How slow I was?!?! I feel like banging my head to the wall now! ;p

Minex Jewellery’s ‘Finder’s Keepers’ Christmas Treasure Hunt‏. YES! It’s not wrong. Was invited to the press only event by Minex today and we did a treasure hunt in Tun Jugah.

Starting 15th Dec-24th Dec, you will be able to get jewellery for FREE! It’s free, you find it, you keep it, it can be anywhere in Kuching! If a begger found it before you do, then it’s his/hers. You have to get the riddles everyday to know where to find it else who knows you are just that lucky to see it without the riddles. I will update the riddles here everyday most probably in my Twitter, so better subscribe to my Twitter ;p Who knows you will be the lucky owner of jewellery worths more than RM800 or even more than RM10,000.

Remember to take note of this box. There’s no hidden agenda. You found it, it’s yours, you don’t have to pay anything! If you found it in a bed of flowers somewhere in town, just keep quiet and take it with you! Do not show it to others in public else you might be the next victim of snatching. It’s yours! Just take it and leave immediately!

Today, someone was so lucky to find it! After the briefing by Benjamin, we headed out to look for the box in Tun Jugah. Oh… One thing I have to mention, in fact I’m your riddle of the day! Kick me if you want to ;p Why? I never wear my spectacles to bloggers meet up or any event but today I wore my spectacles. The box was placed at Jee Kwong display window! Hehehehe… See? See the connection!?!? Ok… Ok… The italic statement is a joke!

It just happened that I have to wear my specs today(luckily got a new specs done else I’ll be wearing a very old specs of mine that is not very pleasant to see *LOL*) because my left eye is a bit reddish and itchy so I can’t wear my contact lense. Then when I reached, Ron was commenting about me wearing specs! It’s a sign! How stupid and slow can I be? The signs are telling me that the treasure can be found at the spectacles shop! How can I not notice it!?!? So close yet so far! ARG!! My bro was helping me to look for it and he was so close also! He was looking for it at the watch shop’s display window! Another ARG!

This is the treasure of the day! Amiey found it, 5 diamonds on it! Such a lucky girl. I was thinking of just putting my photo to fool you people again but decided not to as I don’t want you people to throw eggs to me when you see me next time on the street. Cyril can now save money for Christmas present for Amiey ;p

Of course, a group photo is a must.

I’m going out to hunt for one starting tomorrow! It’s so close today! *SMACK HEAD*

4 Hours+ @ tHe Spring

Posted on December 13, 2008December 14, 2008 By sweet surrender 8 Comments on 4 Hours+ @ tHe Spring

Yesterday was such a crazy day! I didn’t expect I would spend 4 hours at tHe Spring hunting for shoes and didn’t even go to all the shops selling shoes. Summore with two persons(M & Jimmy) tagging along, poor them had to wait for me for ages especially in Padini, I was there for like almost 2 hours if not mistaken. CRAZY! So many shoes there but when I found the one I like, there’s no more size anymore. Ended up did find one, even after 20% discount it was like RM70, expensive! Decided not to buy and managed to buy one at Fashion Girl, not the best shoes, not the nicest, not really what I want but heck it’s only RM39.90, I don’t mind. At least it’s comfortable. Any shoes below RM40 and it’s comfortable, I don’t mind buying but if it’s more than RM40 then I need to think really hard unless it’s something that I really really like. No photo though ;p I haven’t transfer it from my camera, lazy… Later some day hahaha…

Visited My Privilege Book to follow up with KuchingBloggers.com contest thing. Here’s the new book, I haven’t see what’s in there ;p

After that we started hunting for shoes ;p Then went to lunch. After that went back to tHe Spring again for shoes hunting. This is the craziest thing I’ve ever done hahaha… Then we went over to Food Bazaar. There were Christmas Bazaar and saw my secondary school teacher selling cakes and pastries on behalf of Breakthrough.

Do go and support, learn more about Breakthrough here. The proceeds will go to Breakthrough to help the needy. I was told that the crews of MV Doulos will be helping in one of the works scheduled. It’s Christmas season, it’s time to share.

Not to forget, we camwhored a lot at tHe Spring ;p However, I don’t have many photos because I was busy shoes hunting. While waiting for me, the two of them went to take photos around.

That’s how I spent my Friday *LOL* Supposed to study but didn’t have the mood =.=” Next week exam! Then YIPEE! Two weeks break! So many games are awaiting me to play ;p So many books to read also. So many things need to be done!

Thank you for accompanying me ;p M and Jimmy should be very relieved now that Irene had finally bought her shoes else they are going to accompany her to hunt again in few more shops in tHe Spring! That might take another hour or so *LOL* What to do? It’s sales period now, got many huge discounts. All those that I never bother or interested to look at before suddenly become so appealing now ;p

Blogging since 2002. Anything before 2006 is no longer available. It is no longer on this server. Back then, I built my own blog and updated it using HTML. No database or anything. Only started blogging fully with a CMS in 2006. However, whatever was on the Internet will stay on the Internet. So... It should be still somewhere on the Internet. Then again... Why do you want to dig that far?
