It’s my 1001th post for using WordPress!!! *CLAP CLAP CLAP* πŸ˜› My 1000th post is taken up by a sponsor hahaha… So I can only announce it on my 1001th post *LOL*

I hope the tech support from Dell will come today… I hope it can be fixed on the spot. All my latest data are in there, I can’t do much with my old laptop except doing things that I have copies online, those not stored online, it’s all in XPS. *SWEAT*

On this 1001th post, I’m going to tell you that I’m jinxed to the max!! Sigh… Every single gadget that is belonged to me and bought by me will sure have problem during its lifetime. This XPS is less than 3 month old only ok?!?!? Don’t ask me to go into the BIOS, I totally cannot even see a startup screen, how to go into BIOS? It happened after Windows update. It must be caused by the stupid Windows update. Just one update and that’s it, how “lucky” am I? I hope I’m not going to be charged with maintenance fee later. I hope they will come today! Must come today!!! Else I’m going to file a complain because the tech support told me yesterday that he’ll “most probably” send one over today. Do they keep their words or not? I’m not so sure with the “most probably” hmm…

So far, Dell tech support is good but their warranty team and customer service team are BAD! I was asking about extended warranty and it took them more than one week to reply me after I pressured the tech support team for the extended warranty quotation. Then when I got it, I have some parts that I’m not so sure and want to seek clarificiations but no respond from them for more than two weeks. During this period of time, I sent 4 e-mails containing the same questions and the quotation expired also.

Then I decided to just take up the offer given in the quotation that it will upgrade my current warranty and extend my warranty for another 2 years. I e-mailed them again asking whether the quotation still valid or not but no respond at all!!! How am I going to pay you when you don’t repsond to me?!?! I don’t want to pay and then later telling me that the quotation is no longer valid and need me to add on money for it again! This is so not right. Till now, I’m still stuck with this one year limited warranty thanks to the warranty team! “Lucky” me, there’s a problem now! If they are going to charge me for it, I will going to make sure Dell is going to compensate me for all the stress and time wasted! How am I going to do it? Blog big big about it? πŸ˜› I don’t know… It’s not like I’m having 10K visitors per day hahaha…

We’ll wait and see… Still waiting for the tech support call to come over. Hmmm…

Let’s see how bad I’m jinxed:
1. My first laptop, Toshiba (don’t remember the model but it was pretty high end that cost about RM5K+), it “electrocuted” me whenever I typed. -.-” At the end, they refunded me fully as they cannot replace it, the model was no longer in production and it’s a factory defect, that’s what they said. All happened in 2 weeks time.

2. My second laptop, the one I’m using now, NEC also cost RM5K but slightly few hundreds cheaper than Toshiba with specification so much lower than Toshiba gave me problem in less than one week with the screen! My screen was “sliced” into half by a vertical blue line -.-” Sent it to repair. Two weeks later, it’s done but there were huge ugly scratches on my casing, it was so ugly! I demanded them to replace the whole unit to me but they said they could only change new casing for me. It took them another 2 weeks or so because they need to ship the casing over.

3. My home PC, I decided on the specs and it gave problem too not long after we used it.

4. My current camera, Canon Ixus i zoom, battery contact problem ever since the first time I used. Solved and using it until now. More than 2 years already.

5. XPS… Elaborated just now.

All these are the gadgets I owned so far since 2003. At least my mobile phone never give me any problem. I only have 2 mobile phones so far. My previous Canon Ixus was OK too because it’s not bought by me and I’m not the one choosing it also.

That’s why if people ask me to recommend eletronical gadgets, I won’t say too much. I never want to help anyone buy any gadget also. I’m very “lucky” with them *LOL* Hmm… Next time my DSLR, I think I better don’t go buy it myself, I’ll ask people to help me buy hahaha…

Update: I tried to call Dell again and after all the possible diagnosis on the phone, they have to send a technician over tomorrow. The tech support was blur about it also, never he encounter such problem *LOL* At least he assured me it’s not my hard disk problem, I’m so relieved. For the time being, have to make use of this old laptop, hang… Hang… Hang… Wait… Wait… Wait… TOLD YOU I’M JINXED!!! No matter how good the gadget is, as long that I’m the one buying it, I’m the one using it, there would surely be at least one problem πŸ™

SHIT SHIT SHIT! MY XPS is now in huge trouble! It can’t startup!!! It kept accessing the DVD drive, it sounded like Transformer and no loading of Windows -.-” I tried to slot a Dell driver CD in and thought might be able to prompt the screen to show something but to no avail and worst it cannot be ejected!! *CRY* Called Dell support and all the agents were busy and waiting for them to call me back. Now using old laptop… Hang, hang, hang… I almost want to reformat everything from this old laptop and fully use the new one, luckily I didn’t. OMG! WHAT HAPPEN!!! Yesterday was fine. Before I shut down, Windows update itself and this morning cannot startup πŸ™

Anyway, let’s go back to the main topic…

The Chasing Dreams

Currently running out of things to blog πŸ˜› Actually have some photos but quite lazy to do them hehehe… It’s been a while not posting random things like this.

Why blog about dreams? Actually I dreamt of something few nights ago and oh my it’s was really adventurous, it’s as if I’m watching a movie starring me in there! Hahaha… Anyway, let’s go to some dream patterns that I’ve been having for 26 years of my life. ARG! I’m 26 -.-” 4 more years to the BIG 3-0!! OH NO!!! πŸ˜›

I always have dreams in colours. I don’t think I remember any black & white dream. I always got dreams with bad guys chasing after me but at the end I always managed to get away from them. I noticed a pattern in this kind of dream of mine. The story line is always almost the same but the bad guys and the surroundings are different. I always got this kind of dream after I’m done with my stress instead of during the time I’m stressed. That explains why I always manage to escape from them hahaha…

When I was a kid:
I always dreamt of me being chased by monsters or some robots and I was running away from them at colourful places. I was actually wearing some cute clothings hahaha… I even ran away from them by floating inside a bubbles, running up colourful stairs, hiding in colourful mazes and, and flying away with a balloon. All the cute and colourful stuffs except the bad guys were very ugly.

When I was in my early teenage years:
I would have dream being chased by monster, you know those monster we usually watched in Ultraman, Power Rangers and so on. I don’t remember what I’m wearing though. I would be running around hiding and escaping from them at home, at school or some unknown places with staircase. They are not that colourful and cute anymore but still had colours.

When I was in my late teenage years and in my early 20’s:
I would dream that I’m being chased by bad human be it men or women instead of monsters. I would be wearing casual clothings ranging from jeans to skirts. It’s always places with staircase. I could jump from one place to another without logic. It could be in a house and suddenly in a garden or then out of sudden to somewhere like the beach and so on. It’s never logical, it’s scattered everywhere.

Now…:
I’m would be wearing some formal clothings like office wears, power suits, heels, you know… Corporate clothings. I would be in full make up, hair well managed and so on. I would be chased at places like hotels or shopping malls or office, basement carpark, lifts, staircase, in the middle of the a metropolitan and highrise buildings. Now, I’m not alone but with people helping me to escape even undercover policewomen or even spies and we all dressed up so nicely while running away hahaha… This time, I don’t have to always run as there would be a vehicle at least for me to escape, then run again, vehicle again hahaha…

OMG! Hahaha… See the patterns? Interesting right?

Ahem… Vain post coming your way πŸ˜› Hahaha… People have been asking where’s my post about the photo shoot I did on 20th April 2008 at Lake Park as I’m always known to be the kiasu one that want to blog about anything first *LOL* I can’t find time to post them and at the same time, I don’t have most of the photos with me. I can only “steal” from the photographers’ websites *LOL*

The photographers were Allen, Alvin aka Pazuzu, Edwin, Jimmy and Shen.

Before that, I would like to remind you that I’m not good at posing and I’m camera shy. It’s true! I got stiffen up in front of camera especially when I need to pose for more than 5 seconds *LOL*. So whoever doing photo shoot session with me, you must have sharp eyes and be very alert else you won’t be getting good photos of me. They managed to take some good shoots which mostly are sort of candid. Since most of them know me and took my photos before, they know what to do. Hahaha…

This is from Allen, well… I’m not sure how many photos he got, he just showed some in his blog so I just picked the one that I like. It’s taken when I’m posing for the others. Hahaha… He used his compact digital camera only πŸ˜› Well… Since he said he always want to get girls to be his model for photoshooting, this is the chance for him *LOL* I’m the white rat. This is my second time colouring and highlighting my hair, first time was in 2006 at promotional price of RM150(cut, highlight, color, treatment) at a salon at Travilion(closed down).

I’m not going to tell you where I did it this time due to some restrictions that I cannot reveal. I faced a bit of problem with them but eventually accept it as I believe the hairstylist skills will not disappoint me as he has many experiences under his belt for more than 2 decades, I’m sure he would do a great work for me. Just that the price gave me a huge shock, see this…

Freaking RM190 for cut, highlight and coloring my hair!! No treatment or even hairspray after that, only shampooed off the colour and blow dry. My first time spending this much on my hair. Add on with the previous RM22 hair cut sigh… Basically I had just wasted my RM22 last week to this new cut.

First off, I know if the hairstylist is the one cuts my hair, the price is RM60. My main aim was to get my hair coloured and highlighted, that’s all. I thought they would consider my hair as medium length but it turned out that it’s considered long -.-” So I’m charged with the long hair price which is RM160 but with the half price promotion, it’s RM80, not that bad right? The highlight is RM100 but half price, it’s RM50, OK right? Initially I should be spending RM130 only or less if they considered my hair medium length.

After few minutes of discussion on how I want my hair colour turn out(learnt a lot, didn’t know there’s so much things to consider to get the right hair colour), after about 45 minutes of highlighting, then colouring for 2 hours+, the hairstylist told me he would trim my hair.

OK… I didn’t tell them that I want to trim my hair, since he said that he would trim a bit, I was thinking maybe it’s just a bit of customer service as it’s my first time there, you know… To make sure you get return customer summore I should have a bit of special deal(I’m too naive) since…(cannot reveal due to confidentiality).

I just said,”Oooo…”. Then he started to trim, trim, trim, I sensed something not right… I said to him that he trimmed quite a lot, I didn’t ask him whether he would charge me for this or not as it’s halfway already, I couldn’t say no, else my hair will be ruined -.-” He told me this will make my hair looked better after wash and easier to maintain. Fine… I trust him because he’s really an expert and I had seen many good hairs coming out from him.

Now… It’s the time to pay… I’m charged with the extra RM60 because of the trimming from the hairstylist. I shouldn’t have let him trim but what to do, I didn’t know. Lesson to learn here, make sure you ask them whether they charge you or not if they do extra thing. Since I’m not the kind that frequent hair salon especially the kind that charge pretty expensive service charges or different charges with different hairstylist, I didn’t know that “law”. It’s an expensive lesson to learn, RM60 for a trim!! My first time having such expensive trim. I hope after my hair wash 3 days later, it will give me a good hair else I’m going to complain! Frankly the cut previously was a bit hard to maintain due to my natural curls and made my face looked very square. That’s why I took my before photo from the side.

Here’s the result after about 3 hours+ and a total damage of RM190. I’m so poor this month… Spent too much… Why Pikom has to be in April also? -.-” I had planned earlier on for this hair colouring, as this half price promotion only valid in April during weekdays, I won’t go if no promotion. If there’s no promotion, my hair would cost RM320!!! Goodness gracious! Expensive! Including the wasted RM22 hair cut, it’s RM342, only for my hair this month. *SWEAT gao gao*

The colour and the highlight aren’t that obvious in the photos though. In fact it’s quite obvious if you see me in real person. It does enhance my skin colour. The final result with no hairstyling products, just blow dry, the salon effect.

This will be my first and last time having such expensive hair services. Unless it’s sponsored.

Crazy! Guys… You can imagine how much girls spent for their beauty? Please don’t compare me with the other girls out there as I don’t spend as much as they do in beauty or shopping. To others, this RM300+ for hair services is nothing, for me is really something I have difficulty digesting. I’m still trying to digest the fact that I had spent RM60 for a trim, this explains why I can’t smile properly in the after photos -.-”
