The Body Shop Tea Tree Oil Blemish Fade Night Lotion

Posted on September 24, 2008 By sweet surrender 6 Comments on The Body Shop Tea Tree Oil Blemish Fade Night Lotion

A lightweight, soothing gel crème that sinks into the skin to help improve the appearance of blemish-damaged skin, equalise oiliness and replenish moisture while you sleep.

The above quote is from thebodyshop.com

I got this last year at Circle of Amour, it’s one of the samples given by The Body Shop booth. I only used it somewhere early this year when I have no idea why suddenly my face was quite itchy for weeks and then there would be random small pimples coming out here and there.

I decided to open the sample and then used it after cleansing and toning my face at night. It’s not oily at all. It also instantly soothed the itchiness of my face and those pimple just gone missing overnight!

I was so impressed by it and I managed to use them for about 2 weeks ;p Coz my face is small, that’s why I can use it for so long. It’s very easy to apply so you don’t have to use too many. It also reduces the oiliness on my T-zone. Usually when I wake up from sleep, My T-zone can be really oily but when I had this on at night, it wasn’t that bad.

In fact according to the girl that gave us(my sis and I) the sample, this is meant for my sis coz she got acne problem. She said that this is good for her skin type. However, I’m the one ended using it hehehe…

It’s pretty good I would say but I don’t really need it so I won’t be buying a full size. Unless the same thing happened to me again! Then I will have to get it.

Everyday Minerals, My First Mineral Makeup

Posted on September 22, 2008October 10, 2008 By sweet surrender 23 Comments on Everyday Minerals, My First Mineral Makeup

I always wanted to try mineral makeup but the one in the market is expensive and size is too big. I dare not to commit in buying for fear of not liking it and waste money. Then I saw Ann posted about it and saying that you can get free samples from EverydayMinerals.com by only paying postage fee which is less that USD5. There are many websites that sell mineral makeups but they are very expensive, luckily there’s this site that let you try for free.

So I placed my order and it was shipped out on 28th August 2008 from Texas, US. It reached me on 18th September. What I did with it? Take photos of coz!

Here you go… Upclose.

This is the blusher called Summer Stroll, it can be used as eyeshadows too. It’s orange in colour when I see it in the mirror with natural light but when I took photo with natural light and no flash, it has tinge of yellow if you notice in all the photos here. I used Fawn as highlight coz it’s too white for my face.

The before and after is no concealer and with concealer. I tried to blend some foundations into the concealer, I lost track already ;p All I know is that I tried all three and even layer all three *LOL* coz I don’t want to spend too much time tinkering with it, just simply blend this and blend that hoping to get some luck. Even layered it with my Maybelline Angelift Foundation. It’s not the effect I’m hoping for. Need more experimentations again. Need to find time for it. Should have time after my exam.

Here are the foundations on different spot of my face:
Left: Light Olive in semi-matte, not suitable, you see the yellowish greenish tinge there?

Middle: Fawn in intensive, too white, see the darker and lighter shade? The lighter shade is the foundation spot. Ignore the shiny part coz it was the light from the window but it’s obvious enough it didn’t blend with my skin colour. It’s that obvious right? In small area, it’s not obvious but when you are to apply it on your whole face, you will see the very pale me πŸ˜›

Right: Medium Olive in intensive, it seems to blend pretty well on my forehead *LOL* The previous two were on my cheeks. When I see it in the mirror the colour was fine but in the photo here it seems like having two different shade. Photos taken with natural light with no flash.

So? *SHRUG* Hahaha…. No Idea ;p I haven’t got any brush to fully experiment it. I was applying it with fingers and cotton bud to test the shades. I’m in the process of making the second sample along with the brushes but the baby kabuki is still out of stock. It’s great for sample use. I will wait till they restock it so the full experimentation of the foundation will only be done once I got hold of the brush. Thought of ordering the bigger sized kabuki but it’s more expensive. This will maybe wait for the 3rd sample order provided I ran out of some of the previous two samples.

Tempted? Go order one sample and try it out hehehe… You get 5 small jars and only cost you less than USD5. I can tell you that these jars can last for quite a while.

Move it down, it’s an eyesore on top coz too long *LOL*.

Oi! Still waiting for my drama is it? Told you already, you won’t be seeing it. Or I should join in the bandwagon in creating that post? I’m not free la! I’m very busy ar… Composing that post can easily take me one whole day to do it. However, I do appreciate the traffic that you give me πŸ˜‰ Hmmm… Since you are so hardworking kept dropping by, let me give you some rewards for your hard works rather than nothing.

Yes, it was never mine at the beginning but I was “forced” to take on the responsibility due to me being so soft hearted. I had already warned that person very early in the begining that there will sure be things like this happening one day but I was assured that there will not be. I never really bother until I had to pick up bits and pieces that was left behind by some people and that’s how I got involved in it. If not for those, you think I would even care? I would have to thank these people else all the issues will never surfaced. Go ahead, hate me as you like, I had anticipated such thing to happen coz this is not the first in my life.

It’s only in fairy tale that you help each other, supporting each other and all the good things that you mentioned. I was a believer in that but not anymore after going tru’ so many cases like this. If the person is hopeless, it’s hopeless, no matter how much love you shower on them. It will only work if they realised it themselves but sadly how many people will? Minority la… Got try better than nothing. Everything has its limit and YES my limit has reached, just like all of you.

Happy now? Got the drama? In fact there are more but I’m really lazy already coz everyone got their own view and there will never be any ending to it. I have other more important things to do.

I never proclaim that I’m the founder, all I did was gave any help or support that was needed. You can read more here from one the founders to know about the details but it’s in Chinese ;p

Bioglo ClearPore Deep Cleansing Mask

Posted on September 20, 2008September 22, 2008 By sweet surrender 30 Comments on Bioglo ClearPore Deep Cleansing Mask

What do you learn today? The simplest advise in life is always the hardest to follow.

Warning: This post might make you lost your appetite ;p View at your own risk!

Bought Bioglo ClearPore Deep Cleansing Mask two months back from Cosway.

Apply it after washing your face. Wait till it dries and peel it off. OMG! SO PAINFUL! It’s really painful! While peeling it, you can feel that every single thing from your pores were pulled out. If you have many facial hair, it’s advisable not to use it ;p I had to dampen it a bit with my toner to ease the peeling.

How effective? Quite effective I should say.

GROSS! DISGUSTING!

I saw this and I just couldn’t believe it. These are not from my nose but my cheeks! In fact I have lots of blackheads on my cheeks near to the nose and I have no idea how to get rid of them. I don’t go to do facial too. After using it, the blackhead did reduce dramatically but not much came out now. I guess they are all too deep inside and the mask couldn’t reach it anymore, all those that it could reach had been pull out already.

I took this photo with my camera’s macro mode, it’s not very clear due to the lighting and I didn’t do any setting to my camera, just point and shoot. This is the best I could get. In fact those blur parts actually got lots of them as well. GROSS eh?

Lip Ice Fruity

Posted on September 19, 2008September 24, 2008 By sweet surrender 4 Comments on Lip Ice Fruity

First of all, this is not paid! How nice if I’m paid for it ;P

I’ve been an avid user of Lip Ice ever since I’m in form one. It’s a must-have for me. There are many other lip balms/lip products by Mentholathum and this is the best. I had used severals (Water, Color Gloss, Sheer Color) before and they were all really not doing any good for my lips. I have to take extra care of my lips because this is the best asset on my face! Hahahaha…

I only use Lip Ice Fruity. This is the only one that can keep my lip soft and supple all day long even after I “ate” it and none left on my lips. Despite that, my lips can still stay supple for hours. It’s also great for chapped lips. Good thing it has SPF15 too. Usually one tube like this can last me for half year plus. I used it everyday, few times a day. The least is 3 times a day, the most would be 5-6 times a day when I’m out and about. I used it before I go to bed, before I go out, after my shower, after I brush my teeth and it’s also serve as base for lipgloss, lipstick or other coloured lip balm application. I seldom use lipstick, hate the cosmetic smell, only use them like maybe once or twice a year.

It has been proven that I cannot live without it few weeks back when I ran out of it and was waiting for my sis to buy it from Sasa in KL because it’s cheaper there, cheaper by RM1 to 2 if I’m not mistaken. I know I can get it easily in Kuching but since my sis was going there, might as well ask her to get it. Just one week plus of no Lip Ice Fruity I won’t die one *LOL* Whenever I go to KL I will surely buy one from Sasa because of the price else it will be at any Watson or Guardian in Kuching. I’m not the kind that stock up thing. I only buy enough for use.

For that one week plus, I was trying to survive with her lipbalm from UK, my Lip Ice Sheer Color(been using this for more than 10 years to add colour to my Lip Ice Fruity), and her Revlon Lipgloss, all of them got no SPF, it’s really taking a tool on my lips. It was really torturing. They only dried up my lips and started to peel few hours after I used them even though I didn’t “eat” them.

In conclusion, Lip Ice Fruity is the best so far.

Shoes Shopping @ VISS

Posted on September 18, 2008November 21, 2008 By sweet surrender 5 Comments on Shoes Shopping @ VISS

Because some people never do their jobs, we are the one that got the blame when something’s wrong! When it’s going fine, they even dared to claim the credits! It’s not that we never delegate or put in any trust but we were let down again and again and at the end we had to do it ourselves! DAMN IT! You call that team work?!?!?

Few weeks back when the whole of Malaysia was having mega sales, I went to tHe Spring to shop for shoes with my sister. We went into every single shops that sell shoes including Parkson(found some there but no size -.-) and at the end we ended up buying at VISS. I wanted to buy something for my Penang trip because I don’t have a proper footware for travelling after my sandals gave up on me in the last trip to KL.

I was looking for something not so flat, not so high that can let me walk, walk, walk without much problem when travelling, and practical enough for everyday used. Sport shoes is out because I hate bringing socks along when travelling, I hate wearing socks and also I don’t like my feet to be fully wrapped inside for more than 12 hours without much ventilation. Since I’m not going anywhere with cold weather so I won’t bother getting a sport shoes. Summore I only wear my sport shoes like once in a blue moon, why waste such money right? I would rather invest in something I will wear everyday.

I was thinking of getting something that covers the toes this time such as ballerina pump instead of the usual toes peeping sandals. I tried many and they were too hard or too flat for my liking, I need a bit of height, I’m short! I am extremely afraid of blisters therefore I never buy pumps or heels that are fully wrapped. I’ve been a strappy stiletto heels and sandals wearer for more than 10 years! ;p

It took me ages to look for one since months back all over Kuching *LOL* Like I said before, I am very particular when buying footwares ;p I don’t want to spend more than RM40 for a footware anymore especially something like sandals. All my expensive footwares gave up on me earlier than the cheap ones either because of inferior quality(branded ones summore!) or accident. Sigh… As if I’m jinxed that I cannot own any expensive shoes.

Finally at VISS, I found one ballerina pumps. It’s not hard like all those I had tried before and it’s quite cute though it’s plain and simple. Also it didn’t feel like I’m not wearing anything and suddenly I feel so flat and short hahaha… With 10% discount, it’s below RM40! Fit my budget and something that my feet like.

Here you go after yakking so much…

We bought two shoes! My sis bought a pair of strappy stiletto heel with 50% discount and only cost her about RM30+.

Left: My sis’ purchase. Fits me very well ;p

Right: My first ever ballerina pump that is less than 2 and half inches high. I’m wearing it and *HORROR* my vains were showing like no body business and I had to edit this photo *LOL* I didn’t see them when I tried it at the shop due to the lighting and because I’m wearing long pants -.- That’s another reason why I don’t want to wear something too flat, the flatter it is, the worst it will look. So how? I managed to find a way to reduce the vains from showing by inserting Party Feet inside!

I haven’t officially wear it yet, I still very much prefer slip and go sandals *LOL* It’s not easy to wear with the two straps there as I’m always in a rush to go out πŸ˜‰
