Everybody Can Fly, Now Go Bankrupt Calling Customer Support

Posted on October 31, 2008November 1, 2008 By sweet surrender 7 Comments on Everybody Can Fly, Now Go Bankrupt Calling Customer Support

I got my phone bill today and to my horror, there’s a very big figure in there! I’m not happy. I’m angry, angry, angry! I had sent Air Asia this following mail:

    Dear Air Asia,

I know that the respond time is very slow and I don’t mind waiting as I have the time. What I’m unhappy is how the call is charged.

Why can’t you have a toll free number? You know that the waiting time is very long and we as the caller have to hang on the phone for so long to speak to a customer support. It’s less than 2 minutes to get the matter fixed but I had to pay the bill of almost 1 hour due to the wait and worst, I’m making a long distant phone call because of your 03 number.

People had been complaining about the slow respond time and you have to make them pay for the phone bill for such long respond time summore. How good is this?

If you really want to improve, please give a toll free number. Even though people might be pissed with the waiting time, at least just let them piss for this matter rather than adding to their agony of paying such expensive phone bill!

I called customer support for the first time wanted to get a spelling error fixed after no respond via email. I waited for about 15 mins and I hung up.

Then I called again, this time, I waited for almost one hour to get my phone call attended to and hearing the ad rotating and rotating. Now my phone bill comes and the charges is really expensive!

Everybody can fly, now everybody can go bankrupt calling customer support.

Your loyal customer that is not happy with your 03 number,
    Irene.

Oh ya ;p I didn’t check my language in there, I didn’t bother anyway.

Whether they will care or not I don’t know. At least this is what I feel about them. So far I never got problem with Air Asia and I’m always being the lucky one. I never got my flight delayed or cancelled or retimed but I’m so not happy with their customer support number.

Penang post will come soon.

Update: GOSH! That’s the thing when you got angry and didn’t check what you had typed before hitting the send button. It was actually one hour of trying, the second call lasted almost half hour, not one hour -.- DAMN! Now I’m making a fool of myself but hey! even though it’s only almost half hour, the charge is damn expensive already!

Toilet Seat Issue

Posted on October 8, 2008October 8, 2008 By sweet surrender 4 Comments on Toilet Seat Issue

Contest at http://tinyurl.com/4t9oel for all bloggers based in Kuching! Cash prizes to be won!

I’m a bit lazy to edit any photo so just give you a text post.

How many of you girls out there actually complain that your man never put up the toilet seat? We always hear this from some girls and always see it in TV. It can even cause an argument between the couple. Com’on! Why complain and whine about this petty issue?

This is usually the case, the girl left the toilet seat down and never bother to put it up, then when her man came and put up the seat and did his business, isn’t this very considerate already? At least he took the effort to put the toilet seat up so that he won’t dirty it. Then she came and complained about him not putting the seat down! WOW! This is very unreasonable. No? Guys, I’m sure you agree.

Imagine, if your man is the one that kept whining and complaining that you didn’t bother to put the seat up after you use it?

You see where the direction is going? Put down also wrong; don’t put down also wrong. It’s just lifting up and down only, it won’t cost you anything. Why you have to make a big deal about this issue? It’s just so stupid to argue over this matter in your relationship.

Next time, stop complaining about the toilet seat! Appreciate each other and look at things in different perspectives.

Becareful When You Blog

Posted on August 27, 2008August 28, 2008 By sweet surrender 14 Comments on Becareful When You Blog

I’m sorry that I do not agree with the “rebranding”. No offence. We might as well take it back and do it ourselves since it’s like that all these while and go build your own. There is no point for “rebranding” or start a new brand when the root of the problems are there, it will still be the same, it makes no difference. Call us narrow minded or selfish, whatever you like, we don’t mind.

Here are some cases that I would like to share with you guys, all the bloggers and non-bloggers out there. So that you are aware that these things are actually going on and be extra careful when you do, say or blog. It happened to people around me, directly connected to me instead of some distance. These are real stories and lesson that everyone should know and learn. These all happen in two months.

Case 1:

I blogged about it before about a company wanted to sue a blogger if the blogger didn’t take down the post because that blogger wrote things that they deemed bad for their company reputation. Summore, it’s listed number one in major serach engines and the blogger is the only one blogging about it. Even though we all know there’s such company but there is not enough evident to catch them else their operation would be ceased already. [read details here]

Lesson to learn: Be sure to get all the concrete evidents and all the supports you can get before blogging about them or use some other name to represent them but still enough to let people know is them. The blogger had taken down the post. They said that they will take legal action if the blogger didn’t contact them after taking down the post. The blogger didn’t contact them because initially they only requested for taking down of post, the contact part came later. Till now no news and no legal letter.

Case 2:

There’s a blogger that used another blogger’s name to post various comments that could cause reputation damage. It had caused many people to misunderstood the victim. The victim managed to find out which blogger did it but that blogger didn’t want to admit it. Besides that, the blogger even used some threatening nickname to post in the chatbox of the victim. The victim decided to take legal action if the blogger didn’t want to apologize for the damages caused.

Lesson to learn: The blogger had to apologise and told the victim that it’s just for fun, it’s not serious. PLEASE PEOPLE! If you are too free and have nothing to do, do some other useful things instead of making fun/threat with people’s name. What if it happens to you and you didn’t do it and the whole world thought you did it. Is it fun?

Case 3:

A blogger blogged about things that the blogger doesn’t like about the blogger’s lecturer and the CEO of the college now wanted to meet the blogger about the matter because one of the lecturers didn’t want to just let the case die down like that even though the blogger had removed the post after being warned. No idea about the progress yet as it’s still in the process… Heard that it’s solved.

Lesson to learn: If you don’t like something about your school or college, let the management know as you are paying for it. Again, if you want to complain, you might as well do not spell out the actual name.

Case 4:

A blogger complaint about the bad service and food of an eatery in Kuching. There is nothing wrong in this but please give your feedback in a right way or tasteful way instead of having foul words all over the post! Or even try to challenge the management! No businessman like to be treated this way. This had indirectly caused them to shun the rest of the bloggers. With this kind of attitude, you will definitely get blacklisted by anyone in the industry. They can also sue you if they want.

Lesson to learn: You are free to blog and to express yourself but freedom comes with a price and sets of rules either spoken or unspoken that you have to follow and stay within the boundary. You do not agree? Fine! That’s your problem as they also have the freedom to blacklist or boycott or sue you, no? It’s freedom what! Don’t say I never warn you.

Basically that’s all about it but I’m sure there will be more cases like this surfacing soon as “blogging” and “suing” are getting more and more popular nowadays. So becareful when you blog.

Celcom Blackberry Night @ Boulevard

Posted on August 16, 2008August 18, 2008 By sweet surrender 8 Comments on Celcom Blackberry Night @ Boulevard

Photos will come later. I’ll give my feedback about it first. Just got back from it one hour ago, I couldn’t stay till the end as I was tagging along with my folks as they wanted to do some shopping there. Didn’t expect to stay so long there.

Let’s talk about the good part:

  • It’s refreshing to have this kind of party
  • We got to move around freely to take pictures, thanks to that 😉
  • The decor wasn’t so bad
  • Sound system was good
  • Lighting wasn’t bad, I got many good pictures
  • The Wii competition was interesting but I was lazy to play 😛
  • The effort for bringing in bloggers is GOOD! Sadly not many turned up though.
  • The catwalk was a refreshing twist

The part that needs improvements and I’ll give some suggestions, hope you don’t mind since you guys said that we can talk about it whether it’s good or bad:

  • Bloggers were lost, they didn’t really know how to get started
  • As I said when on the stage, we were all expecting there’s few units of Blackberry(sorry that I blurted “Blueberry”, didn’t mean it, it just slipped out as I was thinking about food just now coz I was hungry 😛 Blueberry cheesecake please…) on display and let us test it out and let us do live blogging with it so that we can brag about it hahaha… Indirect publicity! You might get some people sign up on the spot! Most of us were looking high and low for it but instead there were only two laptops. I brought my laptop along and I didn’t use it because I have no idea about the availability of WiFi. Also, at least there’s something interesting to do instead of just sitting there listening to songs and taking photos.
  • There is not many information about Celcom Blackberry and we can’t blog much about it. It would be great with goodie bags that includes some Celcom merchandises and brochures about it. In fact, we were expecting at least something like this.
  • Someone left a message in KuchingBloggers.com chatbox saying that bloggers that bring laptops will have goodies awaiting(refer here)… Hmm… I don’t think I got any except going up to the stage for a tube of chocolate with a cute Mr. Bean’s bear keychain. Well… Maybe later in the night but anyway I didn’t stay till the end of it. I might be wrong.

By the way, to Albert(one of the photographers there) if you read this, I’m so sorry that I actually forgot to say bye to you even though you are so near to me, in fact just next to me. My mind was blank that time after coming down from the stage as the staircase leading up the stage was shaky and I was still in a stage of shock with the shakiness(I’m afraid of shakiness especially if the platform is high with nothing that I can hold on to), and was in a rush too, I only remembered to say bye to the bloggers -.-” So sorry about that, do keep in touch. Also I couldn’t recognise you, it’s been a while not seeing you, you looked familiar to me but I just couldn’t recall who.

To wrap up this post, I would like to thank all those that involved for including us. 🙂

Please Do Some Soul Searching

Posted on August 6, 2008August 7, 2008 By sweet surrender 4 Comments on Please Do Some Soul Searching

After the meeting last night, I hope that all of you can do some soul searching whether you really want to commit before our next meeting. Personally I felt that last night’s meeting is a bit pushy and I felt that many were some sort of like being forced into accepting the roles. There seemed to be no choice to say “NO”.

I know that most of you actually just want to help whenever you can instead of being drag into the frontline. If you really really really cannot commit and really really not interested, it’s still not too late to say “NO”. Don’t be pressured that all your friends said “YES” and you have to force yourself to say “YES”. You have your own say. Once it’s official, there is no way you can turn back anymore and it will definitely do no good to it if it’s against your will.

To me, I have no problem with the job I’m assigned as this is what we’ve been doing all these while. I’m just worry about those that are not ready to hold any responsibility or giving any commitment to it.

If you will, please ask yourself carefully and consider all the responsibilities that you will have to hold in the future if it’s official which if you don’t, your irresponsibility will be putting the reputation of everyone invloved at stack.

I’m not against anyone as I for one did the same mistake just like anyone else last night and I don’t feel good about it. Please, please, please, if you will, consider carefully and give us your decision in the next meeting.

Like I said, if no one is committed enough to it, there is no need to set it up. It is NOT a must. To me, I don’t mind if it’s up or not, all I want is the responsibility and the commitment. Everything will be OK if these two exist else say so much also no use.

Blogging since 2002. Anything before 2006 is no longer available. It is no longer on this server. Back then, I built my own blog and updated it using HTML. No database or anything. Only started blogging fully with a CMS in 2006. However, whatever was on the Internet will stay on the Internet. So... It should be still somewhere on the Internet. Then again... Why do you want to dig that far?
