goahead! Yogurt Breaks

Hehehe… Ate one of the flavours, Plain Yogurt Breaks. The other flavours are strawberry, tropical fruits, and forest fruits. It’s sweet but I can tolerate this type of sweetness means it’s not that sweet *LOL*. I love it. This is low fat yogurt bar hehehe but then who cares? I don’t think I need any low fat food. It doesn’t matter at all.

I thought there’s only one piece in there but there’re two quite thin pieces(refer to the photo). The yogurt only covers one side instead of the whole piece. There are sultana in the middle. The the outer layer is light crispy biscuit.

There are so many type of textures in this bar. First the creamy coat of yogurt that is sweet and sourish, then the biscuit is crispy and tasteless. Lastly the inside is sweet and soft.

Yummy… Ok… Done with this yogurt bar. By the way, it costs 1 Pound per box, there are six individual packs per box.

I have another type of bar of the same brand. It’s different from these four. Will blog about it soon when I manage to get hold of it, in other word, eat it πŸ˜› I think I will move on to chocolates next hehehe… We’ll see…

Chocolates & More…

Posted on June 17, 2007June 18, 2007 By sweet surrender 28 Comments on Chocolates & More…

My sis brought these back from UK.

Left: WOW! Didn’t expect to see chocolates from Hotel Chocolat!!! All these while I’m just drooling over them in the Internet, I never expect to see them right in front of me that enable me to touch, smell, eat and even take photos of them up-close Hehe…

As for the chocolate bar is not from Hotel Chocolat, it’s dark chocolate from Guinness. I will blog about them one by one when I eat them hehehe…

Middle: Hot chocolate with Courvoisier.

Right: Green tea with mango flavour.

Left: Cadbury chocolate drink, you can get them here.

Middle(top): Fox’s Classic, honeycomb biscuits covered with real milk chocolate.

Middle(bottom) & right (bottom): goahead! yogurt bars, there are 4 flavours. Then the other one is another type from goahead!

Right(top): McVitie’s HobNobs.

Hmmm… I think you can get most of them here at Choice Daily, Selections or Pop-In except those in the first group.

Causeway Bay Hong Kong Restaurant

Posted on June 14, 2007June 14, 2007 By sweet surrender 20 Comments on Causeway Bay Hong Kong Restaurant

Not sure where to have lunch today and ended up at Causeway Bay Hong Kong Restaurant at Crown Square. Many people already complained about it. I don’t know to complain or not. The pricing are definitely quite high but for the drinks’ prices are OK, I think… Definitely more worth it to have a drink there than at Mr. Ho’s.

Left: The entrance.
Right: The interior with very special lightings but hmm… I felt strange under this kind of lightings.

Left: The other side of the interior. Two huge pictures of Hong Kong skyline on the wall, very nice but very polluted place. I mean Hong Kong not the restaurant πŸ˜›
Right: (L)Tea In Hong Kong Style(RM2.80), it’s just milk tea! (R)Cold Jasmine Tea(RM2.80), huge jar and the straw was too short, I had to tilt the jar to finish it πŸ˜›

Left: Black Pepper Sizzling Noddle with Chicken Chop(RM6.90). You can opt for mushroom sauce too. Pretty big portion. Taste wise was OK.
Right: Mushroom Sauce Sizzling Noddle with Fish Chop(RM6.90). It tasted like tomato instead of mushroom but not tomato enough. Don’t know how to explain. Big portion and I almost couldn’t finish it. You can opt for black pepper.

Hmmm… *Shrug* Don’t seem to have much complain with me. However, I don’t have the urge to go back for second time. By the way, 5% GST would be charged.

Dong Feng Po

Posted on June 12, 2007June 12, 2007 By sweet surrender 14 Comments on Dong Feng Po

Before we went to DiGi Fu-Yoh! Street Blast last Saturday, we had an early dinner at Dong Feng Po. It’s opened not long ago. Many people had went there before so we decided to try it out. It’s located behind EON Bank and DHL at Jalan Song Thian Cheok. By the way, Country Decastle already closed, no more in business, even signboard also gone.

Left: Dong Feng Po’s signboard.
Right: The interior. I think it’s very clean looking and with oriental touch.

Left: Some potted plants.
Right: Our drinks, Jasmine Milk Green Tea(RM2.50) and Passion Fruit Juice(RM2). The milk tea has nothing to be raved about and the passion fruit juice is just syrup.

By the way, I’m not so sure what are the exact name of the food, very long name -.-“

Left: Chopsticks & spoon and sweet & salted bean paste. Not bad. Very nice.
Right: Soup noodle in some kind of hot pot. You can choose to have tang-hoon instead of noodle. I opted for noodle. There’s one full egg in there and various “seafood” such as crabstick in there. No real seafood though. I got one meatball only in the soup πŸ˜› and some veggies also. Becareful when you eat this, it’s very hot. The presentation reminded me of a type of Japanese noodle. This dish costs RM5.

Left: Spoon & folk and some sort of melon soup.
Right: I think this is called pork leg rice. The taste is OK but there were still a bit of pig hair still attached to the skin. This is also RM5

This place is not so bad. The price range is OK since it’s air-conditioned. Definitely will go there for second time if there is chance.

Green Spot

Posted on June 2, 2007June 2, 2007 By sweet surrender 22 Comments on Green Spot

Familiar with this name? No? See the photo and I’m sure you will go OooOOooOoo… Hahaha… Well, only those growing up in the 80’s, 70’s, 60’s or earlier will be familiar with this. I’m not sure about those in the 90’s. Have any fond memory of it? Gossh… It reminds me that I’m no longer young anymore.

I don’t think you can see it here in the city anymore but you can definitely see them in small districts and towns. For those of you that have not much idea, do you know a drink called Sundrop? If you do, then this is the product that is produced by this company. It used to be a hit among us long time ago just like Coke or Pepsi. Then when more and more brands coming out, this is later forgotten. Due to that, the company produced a new drink called Sundrop.

I think this bottle must have gone tru’ all the thick of thin of your life and mine for quite a number of decades. The bottles were washed and reused. You need to return the bottle back to them and not throw them away. There were no plastic bottles last time and that time, everything was in glass bottle like this. During Chinese New Year, we used to have crates and crates of softdrinks in glass bottles, after finishing them, these bottles were sent back to where we bought it and they would return it to the factory to be washed and reused. I think the bottle you are seeing now it’s still the same old bottle that was used 20, 30 years ago. I don’t think they produce new bottles for it. Everything is exactly the same. See how things that were produced decades ago can last this long?

It still has the wordings stated “The Amoy Canning Corp. (M). BHD.” on one side. The company no longer use this name. Then another side is “Licensed By Green Spot Co. U.S.A”, does this company still exists in the US? Need to Google about it.

There is no Malay name for the drink. You can only see English, Chinese and Tamil. There were no such law about printing details of all those things you see in bottles nowadays.

Talking about this, remember Fanta? I always like Fanta green hehehe… Now if you ask me to drink these beverages, I won’t dare to drink much, maybe a sip or two but I didn’t drink the one in the photo. I wanted to drink but couldn’t get myself to drink it. I even don’t drink F&N Orange, Groovy Grape etc. Nice to see, very colourful but not nice to drink. The colours are freaking me out.

Do you feel old now? Hahaha… It does bring back a lot of memories. Very nostalgic.

Blogging since 2002. Anything before 2006 is no longer available. It is no longer on this server. Back then, I built my own blog and updated it using HTML. No database or anything. Only started blogging fully with a CMS in 2006. However, whatever was on the Internet will stay on the Internet. So... It should be still somewhere on the Internet. Then again... Why do you want to dig that far?
