My mom asked me to cook rice last Sunday but I forgot to press the “cook” button of the rice cooker -.-” It was 2pm+ already when they got back. So we decided to go out to eat else we need to wait till almost 3pm then could have our lunch.

Went to Song Kheng Hai Hawker Center to have our lunch as the last resort because many places were closing.

Many people still having their lunch and you can see birds everywhere, on the table, on the floor, looking for food.

Left: Belacan beehoon… Yummy… Heavenly 😛 It smells like smelly socks according to the many foreigners. One of the best belacan bee hoon is available here.
Right: Cha kueh… I love the cha kueh here. This is the best cha kueh in Kuching for me. Oh well… I grew up eating them so I tend to compare others’ with this one. Last time, long long time ago, almost 20 years ago -.-” OMG… Time really flies… So old already, oh dear… We used to buy them outside Capitol(Or “Capital”? I got mixed up already :P) Cinema where Tun Jugah building is now.

Left: Fried beansprout noodle. I like this noodle too, the sweet type, not the salty one.
Right: Noodle in soup with fishballs.
The stalls no longer operating in the evening since few years back. Their business is always very good as they are mostly hawkers that started their business since decades ago. Not only our elders like them but the younger generation too as we all grew up eating these food.
