Before we went to Cat Museum, YES! There will be a post about Cat Museum coming up within these few days. 🙂 We brought our friends from KL to Ah Yeo Ais Kacang behind Hokkien Garden.

Left: Cincau(I don’t know what it’s called in English 😛 It’s a type of jelly and it’s black in colour) with milk and rose syrup.
Center: Ais kacang.
Right: Not from Ah Yeo but it’s from next door, their relative’s. This is known as Jiu Eng Chai in Hokkien, in English it would be cuttlefish and kangkong. They come with prawn paste and peanuts. Mix them well and just eat it. Yummy…

Song Kheng Hai Hawker Center (2)
Went over to Song Kheng Hai Hwaker Center again last Sunday. We were bringing our friends from KL there because Sandra brought her guests from Sydney there too and we promised to meet there after picking up our KL friends.
Quick one…

Left: Lemon sugarcane juice.
Right: Gong Pia, a foochow delicacies. This has filling in it. However, according to Sandra, this is not very nice. Frankly, I had never eaten any :P. I always have the blank Gong Pia as my aunt always bring it back from Sibu but not with filling like this.
Oh my! So busy!! I still have tonnes of posts to write and photos to edit -.-” Also tonnes of works need to be done… ARG!
Kuching Festival 2007 (2)
It’s all about food that we had the last two days(04/08/07 and 05/08/07). Some pics were missing because we forgot to take photos of them 😛 Hehehe… Too hungry, only could think of eating rather than taking pictures.

Left: I don’t know what is this, I don’t like it. A type of prawn dish.
Right: The octopus takoyaki, ewwww… The octopus didn’t taste fresh. It’s different from last year’s but from the same stall. The size shrinked to half of last year’s. Not recommended. This is taiwan’s version. I still prefer the one at Jalan Song, the Japanese version and they are huge with lots of bonito!

Iglool… You can try it cheaper here but I think the portion is a bit small compare to those in their shops. Flavours are limited too. However, RM10 for 3 is consider OK.

I-Chi-Ban, had it once years ago. Bought it again and I found out that I don’t like it 😛 I ate a bit only, the rest was settled by the guys.

Hot candy. Bought the “original” at RM1.50 per stick. It’s actually marshmallows that are heated. It’s quite nice but kinda sweet 😛 They have other choices such as sprinkle with cheese or some colour candies, lace with chocolates…

Teo Chew Style Oyster Omelette or fondly known as “o-jien”. Yummy… It’s supposed to be crispy but we took a long time to find for a place to sit, so it became like this. Still tasted good.

Left: Yam Cha Kueh that I didn’t taste any yam in there. Not recommended.
Right: Stingray with sambal. Very spicy!

Something new this year, the chocolate fountain. Tried the one with strawberry, RM2 per stick. They freezed the strawberry. I don’t really like it. I mean the chocolate hahaha… However, it’s not too sweet unless you opt for marshmallow.

Homemade sushies.
That’s all for the time being on the food. Will sure be going there quite often. It’s so near to my place 😛

Hahaha! Here comes my chocolate post again! 😛

This is called Milk Cookie Creme, crisp chocolate cookies pieces set into a milky wonderland. This is not so sweet but it melts better in your mouth. However, I don’t really like the cookies. It tasted so odd.

Left: The back, it’s broken! 😛
Right: The chocolate without wrapper.
Two more coming… hehehe…
Nyonya Bites
No idea where to have lunch yesterday so decided to go to 3rd Exchange to hunt for food and ended up Nyonya Bites. Goodnesss… The whole row will be food and more food outlets. The two rows facing each other will have many food outlets opening soon. -.-” Popwave will be opening a branch there too.
I was thinking of having some nyonya food.

The exterior and the interior.

Very disappointing. Nothing much to eat! The choice available is so little! Only fried rice, fried noodle, fried beehoon, fried kueh tiaw, fried tang hoon and fishball soup -.-” I was expecting some nyonya food but nothing except the ice desserts and some snacks. Pretty pricey, not worth it. I ordered Nyonya Style Bee Hoon(RM4.90), it’s just spicy and tasteless. We ordered Luo Han Guo(RM1.70) and Teh C Peng.
For two persons, it cost us RM12.80. EXPENSIVE! What else I can say? Not recommended at all unless you are going for some ice desserts, not sure how good they are *SHRUG*
