No idea where to go for lunch yesterday. So ended up at Ting Noodle House as we heard of many good feedback from people.
There were so many people that time. Almost full! You can see that the chef has recognition from Taiwan and some sort of nomination or award from an international organisation that deals with F&B. Impressive right?
I have no idea what to order. I always have difficulty ordering food at places that serve Chinese food.
Left: I ended up ordering this. I don’t know what it’s called in English, in Manadarin is “Cha Jiang Mien”(RM4.30). The vegetables are for you to mix with the noodle. The meat that you see inside the bowl is also for you to mix with the noodle as the noodle is plain. Hmm… Sorry… I don’t know bother about how many award or recognition they have on the wall, this one is really not my type, not to my liking. It took me quite some time to finish it. I didn’t enjoy it. Maybe there’re some ingredients that I don’t like in there but I don’t know what.
Right: Beef noodle(RM4.30) that is recommended by many people, according to them, the taste is quite authentic as of taiwan standard. I tried a bit of the brooth, hmmm… Like that lo~ it’s just beef noodle to me *LOL*
It could be that my tastebuds went seriously haywired yesterday. *SHRUG*
If you are wondering where this is, it’s at Ban Hock Road, same row as Mita Cake House.
I do agree with your comment on ‘char chiang mee’. I tried once and I never order it since. You see Taiwan plp taste is different from us, they seems to like mild taste. If you ask me I say their cooking less salty and tasty. If I travel to Taiwan sure i bring a Ajishio with me. I tried most of the Taiwan style cooking at Kuching and my personal favourite is Full House at Central Park. The worst I tried is at Carpenter street near the temple. I don’t know how on earth they got guts to serve plp with those cooking skill.
Hi, Roland… I don’t know… The taste isn’t mild at least for me, I felt that it’s kinda salty. Just some how it just couldn’t blend into the food(as if the taste and the food are two seperate thing) and couldn’t register into my tastebuds.
the only thing that’s nice in ting noodle house is their noodles. It’s very well done. Q~
The sauces going with it just so-so only.
annna, for my order, it’s not Q -.-” But the beef noodle one seems Q enough hahaha…
I went to this shop with my brother this evening. I ordered a bowl of pork ribs noodles and a cup of special coffee. The waitress was unfriendly when answering to my brother’s order of drink. The noodles was fine and the coffee was great. But when the shop nearly closed, at 7.40pm, the towkay was not patient and he kept on banging the cash machine. He also cut his nail at the cashier counter. I was rushing to finish the noodles! He then want to end my bill while I was still sipping my coffee! His look was really unfriendly! I will never go to this shop again! I rather spent my money at Starbucks for the coffee with much better service!
mia, thanks for sharing.
