KL Trip – Day 5(21.1.2006)

Posted on January 27, 2006February 24, 2007 By sweet surrender No Comments on KL Trip – Day 5(21.1.2006)

This is the last post of KL trip and I promise no more KL posts anymore hahaha… I know got people complain already.

Hey!! KL also got LOK THIAN!!!! FYI, LOK THIAN in Kuching is a company that involved in food business here. They owned several restaurants in Kuching. Don’t be too excited, this LOK THIAN in KL is actually called Tai Pai Tong. It’s situated at Lot 10. The food… 😡 Strange thing is that the chinese name is LOK THIAN but the english name isn’t. The two LOK THIAN aren’t related. Had breakfast there. The photos here are tempura ramen and (donno what) ramen LOL…

Went out of the building and took this pic. Thought of taking KLCC up close but the sun is too bright and it’s so hot, really very hot until I could feel the heat cooked me. So simply took this shoot of the fountain.

KLCC has chickens and even a well too!!! Something “kampung” (village) in this modern building.

Also a wooden house in the middle of this mighty tall building. Actually it’s just some CNY decors at the concourse.

The food court. No-camera zome ;-p LOL but we didnt’ care. Too many people. It was jam packed! No one cares about the camera. Didn’t use flash too. Had lunch here.

Yoshinoya. Had their beef rice. Yummy.

Tea break, Sashimi(Ann’s dad bought this at Isetan) and Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf’s Sunrise. Sunrise is an ice-blended drink that consists of orange juice and vanilla. It’s sour and sweet at the same time. I used to have this in Coffeemaster but much sour than this.

The dangling stuffs here… just some decor at KLCC.

Around 4.45pm we went to airport with a limo. Gosh.. the driver parked at the opposite of KL Plaza because they couldn’t stop there.

KL traffic is known to be crazy and the first time we crossed the road like this in the middle of the city with no traffic light or zebra lines. The driver braved the traffic and we followed him as close as possible. Ann and I hold each other hand tightly while crossing the road hahaha… Luckily there were drivers that were considerate enough to slowed down and waved to us to let us cross the road. Not all KL drivers are bad 🙂

This is where they collect the toll.

In the airport, KLIA departure hall.

Had Burger King Cheese Burger as dinner.

Here we were! In the new Airbus!!!

Hehehhe… toilet ;-p

Reach Kuching. Couldn’t get a nice photos of it since it’s night time.

Waited for our luggages.

Our very own KIA. Our newly renovated airport and will be able to accomodate B744 and A380! Cool…

THE END!

Back home in this beautiful Kuching, clean air and no noise pollution. Home sweet home.

KL Trip – Day 4(20.1.2006)

Posted on January 25, 2006February 17, 2007 By sweet surrender No Comments on KL Trip – Day 4(20.1.2006)

More interiors of 1 Utama. Flowers too ahahah.. actually it’s potted plants.

After some shopping or should I say lots of shoppings, we had our lunch at tai(1) tai(2). We had chinese tea.

The first dish, char kuay tiaw. Second dish, Yang Zhou style fried rice. Yang Zhou is a part of China.

The third dish, yellow wine chicken (LOL… direct translation from the chinese name). The fourth dish, pork and I don’t know what’s the the dish name ;-p

Tea break after second round of shopping, Auntie Anne’s. We had pretzels, cheedar cheese, almond and sour cream & onion.

Then, we went to the juice bar, jj’s Juice Fusion, for fresh fruit juice.

At night, we went to Petaling Street. Then had dinner there. The food? Not nice. I’m not going to reveal which shop this is because I think it’s should be a popular dining place for KL people and were always in the press. So I guess better to shut up and not elaborate further else will get flame by some sensitive people.

One of the delicacies u can find in Petaling Street. I don’t know the name. Very colourful and lots of cute shapes. The fillings should be something sweet.

The last photos is from the overhead bridge at Bintang Walk.

End of fourth day. Zzzzz…

KL Trip – Day 3(19.1.2006)

Posted on January 24, 2006February 17, 2007 By sweet surrender No Comments on KL Trip – Day 3(19.1.2006)

Started the morning with Uncle Lim’s again, ordered the same stuff but a change of drink, soybean drink+cincau. The soybean drink tasted very homey.

After breakfast, we went to shop around Time Square and managed to buy some clothes. Then we checked out around 11.30am. Then shopped again.

Around 1pm we made a moved to KL Plaza where we’ll be staying for the next few days. Gosh… 1 bathroom only and 4 of us had to share! It’s not as classy as Time Square. So much difference!
After that, we went to KLCC. Had lunch at the food court, Sushi King. Couldn’t take any photos there as it’s a no-camera zone. You are only allowed to use your camera at the concourse, ground floor and (can’t remember where else ;p).

Couldn’t really shop there but bought a 50% discount blouse from Isetan.

After KLCC, we went to Sungei Wang as it’s not easy to shop at KLCC, everything were priced so damn high end. Seeing all the price tags like RM400 and above for a simple dress/shirt/skirt/blouse etc. *faint* how to buy? I’m not a millionaire or billionaire daughter/gf/wife LOL… Maybe last time I could but even if I could I don’t think I would spend the money like that. Gah… money is not meant to be spent like this!!! There are better things for it!

We had our dinner at Sungei Wang, at one of the chinese restaurant there. I don’t know the name ;p We had frog legs, soup, kangkong, fish and pork. I don’t know about the prices and the actual names for all of them.

So… that’s the end of day 3. Very boring huh? Nothing special. An uneventful trip. Lucky it was this way. I hate eventful trip hahaha…

KL Trip – Day 2(18.1.2006)

Posted on January 24, 2006February 1, 2007 By sweet surrender No Comments on KL Trip – Day 2(18.1.2006)

Starting the morning with Uncle Lim’s, Berjaya Time Square.

Their Omega Soft Boil Eggs (RM1.80 for 2 eggs) reminds me of my childhood. Haven’t had these eggs for a long long time after my mum read an article in the newspapers that it’s not good for health because of the bacteria that’s still in the egg. Hard boil egg is safer. *shrug*

Their kaya and butter toast, very rich and sweet (RM1.80 for 2 slices, if not mistaken but LOL… they gave us 4 slices, we didn’t know at all, we thought it’s normal).

Their barley and coffee were very thick too. The prices were pretty reasonable and most importantly it tasted so gooood…

Now then I realised I forgot to take the picture of the eggs that’s already cracked and in the bowl.

After breakfast we went to MidValley.

We had our lunch at Oh Suhsi, Mid Valley.

The interior of Oh Sushi.

I ordered the set lunch RM18. The fish head gave me a shock! It’s so huge! Hahah… but very filling and delicious. The head was actually for show LOL… the meat was only at the edging of the head. It came with rice, miso soup and salad.

Ann ordered sushi set. RM30+ I guess.

Our drinks were Ice Lemon tea (RM5) and orange juice (RM7, if not mistaken).

Around 6pm, we’re so so so tired, so we sat down at San Francisco Coffee and decided that might as well had our dinner there since it’s almost dinner time. I just simply ordered just for the sake of eating, in fact I’m not in the mood of eating at all. Too tired I guess…

I ordered Milk – small (RM8) and I forgot what Ann had ordered, it’s definitely a type of ice blended coffee. Then we ordered this (see the pic up there), I can’t recall what’s the name. so rich and creamy. It tasted good 🙂 but I didn’t finish it, too tired to eat.

After dinner, we went into Jaya Jusco in MidValley then after that off we headed back to the hotel/apartment. We’re supposed to cover two places Mid Valley and KLCC but Mid Valley was so huge that we had to spend the whole day there.

So… that’s the end of second day.

KL Trip – Day 1(17.1.2006)

Posted on January 23, 2006January 24, 2007 By sweet surrender No Comments on KL Trip – Day 1(17.1.2006)

Let’s start with day 1. Reached the airport at around 8.30am. The flight was supposed to be 9.20am but was delayed to 9.35am.

This was taken in the B737 of Air Aisa. The wears and tears of the interior were pretty obvious escpecially on the leather seats. Oh… you can recline in their B737 but not their new A320. The galley was pretty narrow just enough for the trolley to pass tru’.

The menu of Air Asia. Due to the affordable air ticket, you have to buy their in-flight meals in case you want to eat or drink. They don’t offer in-flight meals like those in MAS or SIA.

More of the menu…

Manchester United fans would surely love this!

The cabin crew in action, distributing the food for the army personnels in the flight.

Mineral water, Tom Yam cup noodle or rather bowl noodle ;p, 100 Plus.

Baggage collection area of KLIA.

The lobby of Berjaya Time Square.

Another shoot of the lobby.

The washroom of our apartment. No pictures of the rooms, it’s in Ann’s camera.

The views from our aprtment and Berjaya Time Square’s shopping area.

Ramen, korean style. Can’t recall the actual name. We had this at Time Square’s food court. The kimchi was delicious but the ramen.. so so… nothing special.

Left: Dumplings
Right: Fried dumplings

Both tasted hmmm… so so… the one on the left had lots of spring onions in there… eww…. I hate onions.

Bought my new camera here, Plaza Low Yat.

RM1299 plus free 256MB SD card. I paid with credit card, so with 3% charges, it’s RM1337. Almost gave up. The shop was full of people. So went to asked other shops and they were so expensive and no free gift. Before going for dinner, we noticed that there’s no more customer. So quickly grabbed the chance to ask.

There’s one that attended to me earlier was so unprofessional, he kept on busying with his PDA. Hello? I’m you potential cutomer, you’re turning me away, luckily your colleague came to the rescue!

The salesman is very nice. Very good customer service. Recommended. The crowd knows best hehehe… No wonder so many people there. The cameras are cheaper than others too. Do check them out, The Gadget Shop, ground floor.

Dinner at The Ship. The whole thing is like u’re dining in the ship. Pretty cool place. Pretty pricey too but they said they served the best steak.

You can see live oysters near the entrance.

Ann ordered raw oysters.

I ordered black paper chicken chop. The chicken was very tender and juicy 🙂 too bad I’m too full due to the garlic bread and the bun earlier on. I ate the chicken and the veggies but not the corn and the potato.

End of Day 1!
