Doing The Karen Cheng

Posted on June 19, 2008June 20, 2008 By sweet surrender 11 Comments on Doing The Karen Cheng

LOL… I’m sure most of you know what is this. If you don’t then you might want to check Doing The Karen Cheng out. I’ve been camwhoring inside the fitting room ever since I have a digital camera but I never post about it in my blog. I’m sure many girls like to do this, camwhore in the fitting room, toilet or anywhere with mirror or anything that can reflect hahaha…

It happened that Karen also did this very often and she posted it a lot in her blog and she has many readers that actually e-mail them their camwhoring photos, so she started this group. Why didn’t I think of it?!?! 😛 Else you’ll see Doing The Irene Law instead 😛 Hahaha… Joking…

You wondering who is Karen Cheng? She’s a Perth based blogger, she’s a mommy of 2 and she’s HOT! Her husband is one lucky husband. I always visit her blog when I’m free.

I decided to join this group in Facebook just for the fun of it. I’m out of thing to blog and found some photos that I had taken from 2006-2008, so might as well share it with you hahaha… Another reason for me to post my photos 😛 Vain I know… I usually use my mobile phone because it has auto-focus feature that I won’t worry about having shaky photos.

Here you go… Just filter some out hehehe…

All taken this year.
(L-R)
Taken at Crown Square, forgot the name of the boutique. It’s too low cut and I don’t have huge boobs for it:P That black thing in the middle is my bra *LOL*

Taken at G2000 during their opening at tHe Spring, trying it out for fun, not intended to buy, I don’t need this kind of clothing as I’m not an executive 😛 It’s not cheap too.

The rest all taken at Nicole at tHe Spring. Hmm… Not buying also, I don’t wear pricey clothings… No money… Wanna sponsor me?

(L-R)
Mom found this dress from one of the boutiques at Hock Lee and asked me to try it out, it’s nice but too bad too big for me 😛 It’s size S and it’s still too big for me!! *LOL* Psst… My dream wedding gown would look something like this hahaha… You’ll just have to wait till that day but I don’t think it will be any sooner *LOL* My prince hasn’t arrive yet hahaha… 10 years more maybe…

Got my hair coloured this year and after the colouring, I got the most expensive haircut in my entire life!

Both dresses taken at one of the boutiques at Wisma Saberkas last year. Tried both and ended buying the first one which I wore on the first day of CNY this year.

(L-R)
Had my hair permed last year.

The black and yellow tops, taken at Tun Jugah Urban & Co., I LOVE the clothes there but they are too expensive for me 🙁 I was shopping for 2006 CNY clothings.

At bing!’s washroom 😛 Hehehe… The full length mirror with my brother’s phone as my camera was sent for repair. I was there for a bloggers’ meet in 2006.

2006, got my hair coloured for the first time, it took me 6 hours(3 hours per day) sitting at the salon. -.-”

OK… That’s all. 😛

I Overheat My XPS M1530!

Posted on June 18, 2008June 18, 2008 By sweet surrender 17 Comments on I Overheat My XPS M1530!

I’m on XPS now!! Actually can use yesterday already 😛 Only update now hahaha…

The tech support came to fix it at 11.30am-1.30pm, yesterday. He unscrewed everything and replaced the motherboard. There’s some scratches but not so bad, the deepest is the one near the XPS logo near the on/off button… Oh well… What to do? This design is different from normal laptop, it’s not easy to take out everything. Want to see the parts? 😛 I took some photos when he dismantled everything, didn’t take all because I didn’t want to disturb him working *LOL* Just took some that were closer to me.

The “dead” motherboard.

One unknown part and DVD drive.

The scratch. Poor baby… *sob sob*

All photos taken with my phone 😛

The verdict!?!? OVERHEAT!!! WAH PIANG! For the first time I used a laptop until overheat! Motherboard replaced. I’m only using it for about 2 months and I heated it up so badly! 😛 I guess I’m too hot for the laptop to handle *LOL*

I know this model heat up very fast from the reviews I read, I didn’t expect I could actually kill it in such short span of time. I still can’t believe what I did! Hahaha… I think I have to go out and hunt for a fan for it *LOL* Else we’ll be seeing another overheat episode from Sweet Surrender and I will become Dell’s regular customer for motherboard replacement, sure will get blacklist :P.

My 1001th Post

Posted on June 17, 2008November 21, 2008 By sweet surrender 7 Comments on My 1001th Post

It’s my 1001th post for using WordPress!!! *CLAP CLAP CLAP* 😛 My 1000th post is taken up by a sponsor hahaha… So I can only announce it on my 1001th post *LOL*

I hope the tech support from Dell will come today… I hope it can be fixed on the spot. All my latest data are in there, I can’t do much with my old laptop except doing things that I have copies online, those not stored online, it’s all in XPS. *SWEAT*

On this 1001th post, I’m going to tell you that I’m jinxed to the max!! Sigh… Every single gadget that is belonged to me and bought by me will sure have problem during its lifetime. This XPS is less than 3 month old only ok?!?!? Don’t ask me to go into the BIOS, I totally cannot even see a startup screen, how to go into BIOS? It happened after Windows update. It must be caused by the stupid Windows update. Just one update and that’s it, how “lucky” am I? I hope I’m not going to be charged with maintenance fee later. I hope they will come today! Must come today!!! Else I’m going to file a complain because the tech support told me yesterday that he’ll “most probably” send one over today. Do they keep their words or not? I’m not so sure with the “most probably” hmm…

So far, Dell tech support is good but their warranty team and customer service team are BAD! I was asking about extended warranty and it took them more than one week to reply me after I pressured the tech support team for the extended warranty quotation. Then when I got it, I have some parts that I’m not so sure and want to seek clarificiations but no respond from them for more than two weeks. During this period of time, I sent 4 e-mails containing the same questions and the quotation expired also.

Then I decided to just take up the offer given in the quotation that it will upgrade my current warranty and extend my warranty for another 2 years. I e-mailed them again asking whether the quotation still valid or not but no respond at all!!! How am I going to pay you when you don’t repsond to me?!?! I don’t want to pay and then later telling me that the quotation is no longer valid and need me to add on money for it again! This is so not right. Till now, I’m still stuck with this one year limited warranty thanks to the warranty team! “Lucky” me, there’s a problem now! If they are going to charge me for it, I will going to make sure Dell is going to compensate me for all the stress and time wasted! How am I going to do it? Blog big big about it? 😛 I don’t know… It’s not like I’m having 10K visitors per day hahaha…

We’ll wait and see… Still waiting for the tech support call to come over. Hmmm…

Let’s see how bad I’m jinxed:
1. My first laptop, Toshiba (don’t remember the model but it was pretty high end that cost about RM5K+), it “electrocuted” me whenever I typed. -.-” At the end, they refunded me fully as they cannot replace it, the model was no longer in production and it’s a factory defect, that’s what they said. All happened in 2 weeks time.

2. My second laptop, the one I’m using now, NEC also cost RM5K but slightly few hundreds cheaper than Toshiba with specification so much lower than Toshiba gave me problem in less than one week with the screen! My screen was “sliced” into half by a vertical blue line -.-” Sent it to repair. Two weeks later, it’s done but there were huge ugly scratches on my casing, it was so ugly! I demanded them to replace the whole unit to me but they said they could only change new casing for me. It took them another 2 weeks or so because they need to ship the casing over.

3. My home PC, I decided on the specs and it gave problem too not long after we used it.

4. My current camera, Canon Ixus i zoom, battery contact problem ever since the first time I used. Solved and using it until now. More than 2 years already.

5. XPS… Elaborated just now.

All these are the gadgets I owned so far since 2003. At least my mobile phone never give me any problem. I only have 2 mobile phones so far. My previous Canon Ixus was OK too because it’s not bought by me and I’m not the one choosing it also.

That’s why if people ask me to recommend eletronical gadgets, I won’t say too much. I never want to help anyone buy any gadget also. I’m very “lucky” with them *LOL* Hmm… Next time my DSLR, I think I better don’t go buy it myself, I’ll ask people to help me buy hahaha…

Guess Who In Sunday Papers?

Posted on June 16, 2008June 16, 2008 By sweet surrender 14 Comments on Guess Who In Sunday Papers?

Update: I tried to call Dell again and after all the possible diagnosis on the phone, they have to send a technician over tomorrow. The tech support was blur about it also, never he encounter such problem *LOL* At least he assured me it’s not my hard disk problem, I’m so relieved. For the time being, have to make use of this old laptop, hang… Hang… Hang… Wait… Wait… Wait… TOLD YOU I’M JINXED!!! No matter how good the gadget is, as long that I’m the one buying it, I’m the one using it, there would surely be at least one problem 🙁

SHIT SHIT SHIT! MY XPS is now in huge trouble! It can’t startup!!! It kept accessing the DVD drive, it sounded like Transformer and no loading of Windows -.-” I tried to slot a Dell driver CD in and thought might be able to prompt the screen to show something but to no avail and worst it cannot be ejected!! *CRY* Called Dell support and all the agents were busy and waiting for them to call me back. Now using old laptop… Hang, hang, hang… I almost want to reformat everything from this old laptop and fully use the new one, luckily I didn’t. OMG! WHAT HAPPEN!!! Yesterday was fine. Before I shut down, Windows update itself and this morning cannot startup 🙁

Anyway, let’s go back to the main topic…
Hehehehe… For the first time so many of us appear in the newspapers yesterday hehehe… Let’s see:

Can you spot us? 😛 See the four arrows?

It’s about Mummycare Baby-in-Walker Driving Contest 2008 in TheSundayPost. We were invited to cover the event 😉

The highlight of the day!! Guess who’s on the first page of Postmag? Looks familiar? No? Hahaha…

It’s Edwin and his son! I got a bit of shock when I saw it hehehe… WAH! First page, cover page summore.

When am I going to have this opportunity? 😛 Hahaha… Joking. I don’t think I want to hahaha… Too much exposure 😛

Shop Safely Online

Posted on June 16, 2008June 16, 2008 By sweet surrender No Comments on Shop Safely Online

Many people like to shop online these days. I’m one of them also. It’s so convenient to shop online because you can shop anytime you want, anywhere you are and get the item send to your doorstep. Sometimes we have to shop online because the things we need aren’t available locally or we could get it online with cheaper price even after including the shipping fee. With the petrol price increase nowadays, many people try to stay home as much as they can to reduce the petrol usage. Therefore shopping online seems to be a very good option.

Many people are not confident in shopping online because they are afraid of credit card fraud and indentity fraud. Identity fraud getting rampant nowadays be it offline or online. There are many unscrupulous companies that sell your information to third parties and this explains why everyday we got so many phone calls from telemarketers trying to sell you their products or scammers calling you up trying to scam you.

When you don’t provide your details such as credit card numbers, bank accounts, billing address, email address, and login information to the website you shop at, then you will not be the potential victim but you know that you have to do so else you won’t be able to pay and get your product. So how? How to protect yourself when you are online especially when you shop online since there are many hackers around that are waiting to harvest your credit card and other personal information? Here’s something that you might find helpful.

Blogging since 2002. Anything before 2006 is no longer available. It is no longer on this server. Back then, I built my own blog and updated it using HTML. No database or anything. Only started blogging fully with a CMS in 2006. However, whatever was on the Internet will stay on the Internet. So... It should be still somewhere on the Internet. Then again... Why do you want to dig that far?
