Watsons Membership Card

Posted on November 14, 2010November 14, 2010 By sweet surrender 13 Comments on Watsons Membership Card

I’m sure many of you knew about Watsons Membership Card. I found out about it from Facebook. The membership fee is only RM12, no renewal required. I joined its contest and I won!! I’ve been waiting for it to be sent to me so that I can restock some stuffs.

Finally I got my card. I thought there’s only a card in the mail but there’s a stack of gift vouchers! I didn’t count how many but I can assure you there’s more than 30 vouchers in there! The most exciting thing is that the gift vouchers can be used even when there’s in-store promotions going on except promotions for members.

You get to buy some products for cheaper price and collect points. RM1=1 point, sometimes you can get extra points too.

If you always buy Watsons brand products, then you will get 2x points and get 5 points on your birthday month! Every 200 points = RM1. It’s easy to gain 200 points, just activate your card online and 200 points are yours!

Got yours? Get yours now at any Watsons in Malaysia. Thanks for the card Watsons.

Chica.go 7 @ Tabuan Plaza

Posted on November 12, 2010November 13, 2010 By sweet surrender 3 Comments on Chica.go 7 @ Tabuan Plaza

Went to Chica.go 7 at Tabuan Plaza last night for dinner. Second branch.

When were were there, it was empty!! Only the workers. So we took out sweet sweet time to make our order.

There’s two storeys, the second storey is very unique.

Left: The normal one.
Right: Children playground.

Left: See how different it is compare to the one at Rock Road.

Right: Another section. Different section with different mood. It felt like you’re in a nightspot except it’s not that dark.

Left: Combo Black Pepper Cow Meal (RM6.80). Personally I think it was not that bad and the size is bigger than other places but the name was funny ;p

Right: Broaster 3 Pcs Meal Mix (RM11.80), original and spicy. We were blown away by the huge piece of spicy chicken. It was HUGE! The picture does not justify it. You imagine two pieces of breast meat from KFC. That’s the size. WOW!

Left: Broaster Chicken & Chips (RM6.80).

Right: Lamb Chop (RM10.80), for local standard, it’s not bad but portion was a bit pitiful.

Overall, it’s not that bad for the original Broaster at least better than Sugarbun’s and far better than My Chicken Restaurant. I don’t quite like Sugarbun’s chicken. As for the spicy chicken, not sure how to comment on this but it’s not that bad too, just less spicy than KFC’s.

Thorntons Dark Chocolate with Mint

Posted on November 10, 2010November 12, 2010 By sweet surrender 2 Comments on Thorntons Dark Chocolate with Mint

This is the last UK chocolate post from me ;p This time I’m going to share Thorntons Dark Chocolate with Mint with you.

The mint was quite strong but did not assault my taste buds. It’s my first time had such strong mint taste chocolate. Was expecting that it would be quite bitter but it was not that bitter. The strange thing was that it felt like I’m having candy instead of chocolate.

Overall, it was a surprise as it’s different from the typical chocolates that I had.

Firecrackers for all Occasions

Posted on November 9, 2010 By sweet surrender No Comments on Firecrackers for all Occasions

Just a quick one.

Do you notice that there’s surely firecrackers for all the festivals or occasions no matter which race celebrate them? I’m not talking about fireworks, fireworks are common but firecrackers. Even though firecrackers (or event fireworks) are illegal here but people here are playing with it like it’s no big deal.

It used to be the Chinese people that will have this tradition of playing the firecrackers during Chinese New Year, wedding, and so on. Now, even other races in Malaysia are playing it, it’s rampant when it’s near to the festival season, the eve of festival and during the festival. Do you notice such trend? I must say that it’s very unique, don’t you think so? I guess we can even beat China in this *LOL*

That’s how unique Malaysia is. We are adopting various cultures from various ethnicity in our lives. Hopefully the peace and harmony will last but I have this fear that it will not last because there are many selfish people or extremists around that want to ruin our unity. Agree?

Loreal Longlasting UVA/UVB Protector (Even Complexion)

Posted on November 7, 2010November 7, 2010 By sweet surrender 3 Comments on Loreal Longlasting UVA/UVB Protector (Even Complexion)

Sorry about the lousy quality of the photo, I was lazy to get my camera which was in the living room, I just took my phone to take these photos in the bedroom.

I had finished using Biore UV Perfect Face Milk and decided to try something else. Watched Queen/女人我最大 (Nu Ren Wo Zui Da) introduced one of the sunblocks by Loreal so I planned to get it. Since all the packaging are similar, I ended up buying Loreal Longlasting UVA/UVB Protector (Even Complexion) after considering and comparing for quite awhile at Guardian.

It was below RM30 because there was promotion that time. Original price should be above RM30. Obviously I bought the wrong product, the one introduced in Queen was white in colour, the one I’m using is tinted.

I used it as the last step of my skincare routine. I did not like the texture at first because it didn’t turn matte and it’s slightly sticky(I tried stickier ones before, Nivea and Avene, ewww…). It could be spread easily leaving my skin with some shine. Before I applied my makeup, I would dab it with tissue paper to get rid of the stickiness if I’m rushing to go out else I will apply my makeup 10 minutes later. I experienced a bit of breakouts in the beginning but after using it for few more times, I had no problem with it.

Many UV protectors(Pure & Mild – My very first UV protector, used it for almost 10 years but not using it now because I wanted to try some other brands; Biore, Nivea, and Avene) that I had used did not solve the problem of dry cheeks, after applying them, I would surely have flakes at my cheek area which I had to sweep them off with my fingers but usually it won’t be gone completely. On the other hand, Loreal Longlasting UVA/UVB Protector does not have this problem at all! Yay to this!

I do suffer from uneven skin tone. I noticed that after about 2 hours, my skin tone looked even. That’s because the effect was not obvious in the beginning and I only get to see the mirror 2 or 3 hours later ;p

As for oil control, at least my face wasn’t that oily compared to using other UV Protectors except Biore’s.

Overall, I’m quite satisfied with it. If it can help in mattifying my face, it will be even better. Still, at least it’s better than the rest.

Before I end the post, here’s a very important reminder, do not apply your makeup immediately after UV protector, you should wait at least 5 minutes for the UV protector to settle down into your skin to be effective else the effect equals to nothing no matter how high the SPF is. I got this tip from Queen.
