Ju-on: White Ghost And Black Ghost

Posted on January 21, 2010January 22, 2010 By sweet surrender 3 Comments on Ju-on: White Ghost And Black Ghost

I’ve not been watching horror movie for years! Horror movies with ugly scary faces usually won’t give me much impact. I could watch and forget especially the scary parts *LOL* To me, the scariest were those not showing much of those faces and things just happened.

We were supposed to go sing K at Embassy K-Box but the price was a turn off so we decided to watch a movie at MBO just to kill our time waiting for body combat. So we watched Ju-on: White Ghost And Black Ghost as it started in less than 15 minutes and would end just in time for body combat. The ticket was expensive! RM11 -.-” At least still cheaper than singing karaoke. The most expensive movie I ever watch. In fact, I didn’t even know what was it all about, I only knew it’s Ju On but didn’t know the whole title ;p

If you’re wondering… The trademark of this movie is the little white ghost kid with black eyes making the “krrrr…” sound and a detached double storey house.

I heard many complains about this movie and yea… I really agree. Usually I could connect the sequels of horror movies that many people couldn’t connect but this… I really couldn’t connect the second story, Black Ghost. This movie is actually 2 stories in one. Spoiler ahead!

First was White Ghost, the ghosts were all white. It’s very confusing at first but later I managed to get it. It’s about a family that was murdered by one of the family members as he was possessed and later the killer hung himself and brought along the head of his niece(I’ll refer her as the little girl coz I always have problem recall names in movie ;p) in his bag. The taxi driver that sent the killer to the suicide location died while he was cleaning the sticky stuff seeping out of the bag at the backseat. I think it’s brain juice.

It happened that the taxi driver was the little girl’s friend’s father. It happened that the little girl’s friend had sixth sense but she wasn’t able to help her. Even the man that sent Christmas cake to the haunted house was cursed, he killed his girlfriend at home not long after he came back from the police station after found out about the murder. I don’t remember he killed himself or not ;p A police officer was dead too while investing the case.

After this story, we were thinking, “That’s it?!?! That short? Finish already?!?! WAH! Not worth it!” Not long later, it seems like there’s more coming. Then I realized there’s actually two stories after seeing the black ghost came out.

Second was Black Ghost, the ghost was black. This is too confusing to me. I just couldn’t relate. However, it’s still related to that haunted house. I didn’t get why the nurse wasn’t dead yet her neighbour was killed in her apartment yet he got nothing to do at all with the girl or even had any close relationship with the nurse. The nurse could see the paranormal stuffs that happened to her patient who was a little girl with cyst. The cyst was actually her unborn twin sister left in her body.

Her mother hired a lady who was known to have the power to shoo the evil spirit away but at the end she got killed by the both the girl and the evil spirit at that haunted house(she stayed there), her whole family was killed too. If not mistaken, she actually shooed the wrong spirit away. At the end the two spirits came for revenge.

The little girl’s mother realized the mistake and decided to kill herself and the little girl by jumping off from the hospital building together. Not only that, a colleague of the little girl’s father was possessed to make her father killed his colleague. Again… I don’t understand how is this colleague was related to the curse. Hmmm…

In conclusion, nothing interesting. It’s not worth to watch this movie by paying such price for the ticket -.-“

Review It!

On the Way Down to KL 6th January 2010

Posted on January 20, 2010January 20, 2010 By sweet surrender 2 Comments on On the Way Down to KL 6th January 2010

I have so many pending posts, don’t know where to start hahaha… Anyway, I’m just going to share with you the view when we went down to KL from Genting Highlands.

Bought the bus tickets to KL Sentral at the bus station just outside of First World Hotel. No delay this time unlike in KL Sentral whoever waiting there were people eager to go down so the bus was filled in no time. The fare was RM5.30/person.

Didn’t get to enjoy the scenery from the taxi and my previous trip here.

Left: The green mountains and the blue sky VS the concrete highway.

Right: Hahaha… As if I’ve never seen toll station before ;p

KL in view… The one on the right is Mont Kiara, I hope I got it right ;p

Once you see Hilton Meridian, then you will know KL Sentral is just around the corner but the view you see here isn’t near yet(for a Kuchingite standard hehehe…).

New Year Lunch @ After 3

Posted on January 19, 2010January 20, 2010 By sweet surrender No Comments on New Year Lunch @ After 3

Long overdue post! ;p I forgot!!! Hehehe…

On 1st January 2010, I had lunch with some secondary ex-classmates at After 3. It was a last minute decision that we had made on the night of Ritta’s wedding dinner reception. Many didn’t turn up as it’s too last minute.

Our lunch, so you know how many turn up? ;p Plus one that only came for a drink. Do your math hahaha…

I hope I got the food names correctly, it’s been so long already.

Left: Noodle with Mushroom with Shredded Chicken(RM5).

Right: I ordered Butter Diced Chicken with Rice(RM6), I like it. It’s slightly spicy(but will be quite spicy for those that cannot tolerate spiciness), sweet, and buttery. I didn’t expect it to taste this good. I was only expecting the usual buttered chicken rice.

Left: Homemade Noodle Soup with Seafood(RM5).

Right: Ipoh “Hor Fun” Soup with Shredded Chicken(RM5).

The last time I was at After 3 with my family was a very disappointing experience. This time, it seemed like there’s huge improvement on the food. However, the service still wasn’t so good.

Body Combat @ tHe Spring

Posted on January 18, 2010January 19, 2010 By sweet surrender 5 Comments on Body Combat @ tHe Spring

Last Saturday and Sunday, Level Up was having free body combat classes for the public and its members at tHe Spring in conjunction of the launch of My Privilege Book 2010 issue.

I joined the Sunday class. Supposed to be a group of friends of 5 but ended up with 2 friends only. Was out of breath around 4 times but was OK after few minutes of rest. Didn’t do the last bits of the ending though coz really couldn’t continue anymore ;p

I was expecting body ache today but hehehe… None… Surprising for someone that only exercise once in a blue moon ;p. I worked so much harder compare to previous times. My coordination improved too. It’s a progress at least.

Since it was at tHe Spring and the place was big enough, the ventilation was better compare to previous time at the gym, we were standing too near to each other and I almost faint because I didn’t get enough air.

It was a fun session 😉 We also got one-week free pass to the gym. I haven’t even redeem my one-month free pass *LOL* Will do it after Chinese New Year.

Hills Shopping Mall

Posted on January 17, 2010January 18, 2010 By sweet surrender 7 Comments on Hills Shopping Mall

The latest shopping mall in town, Hills Shopping Mall, but hmmm… A bit too small *LOL* Kinda disappointing. Ah well… It’s not officially open yet. It’s located at the same building as Pullman.

Went there just now to see see look look. It’s only two floors, not big. Basically with two rows of shops on each floor. The shops mostly sell clothes. I just found out bing! actually has a branch there too! There’s quite a number of eateries there too.

Here are some photos to share:

Just a short update. Going to sleep now! Night!
