Make My Heart Beats

Posted on December 14, 2007April 5, 2009 By sweet surrender 14 Comments on Make My Heart Beats

You know, sometimes I logged into Smorty to see whether there’s any task to write or not and there’s always some tasks about personalised throw pillow but I always cannot take it because they only want those that are based in the US to write for them. HATE IT! I did browse the site to see what they have to offer because it’s very interesting. I was thinking whether we have this kind of services in Malaysia or not? I came across it before in shops that can help you order it but how about online? Lazy girl like me don’t like to go back and forth wasting my time and energy. Petrol is expensive too!

Then, few weeks ago I came across Heartbeat and found out that we do have website that sells personalised gifts! I’m sure you always came across this jigsaw puzzle thing where you can custom made a jigsaw puzzle from your photos. I’m not interested in that because I’m not a jigsaw puzzle person, it’s too common also! I’m more interested in personalised throw pillow, mugs, keychains, and tiles. YES! They have it all!

Usually if you want them you have to order them in bulk from those printing or souvenir companies especially the t-shirts and keychains, they don’t do one or two pieces. Heartbeat can do that, in small quantity as little as one. So with Heartbeat I can guarantee you that you can make your loved one heart beats! Hahaha…

You can get 10% discount and free delivery if you order your personalised gift now. It’s only for limited time only. Why don’t you take this opportunity to order your Christmas or Valentine’s gifts? Even for your coming wedding to add some uniqueness to it.

OH WAIT! My post is not finish yet!!

You can now win some prizes from Heartbeat. Make sure you submit your most creative couple photo to them. I know somebody is joining it with one of his girls, so if you think you can beat them, join now! The contest is going on now and will end on 21st January 2008.

Oh… I’m in the process of ordering the X’mas mug. When I got my mug, I’ll show it to you hehehe…

Meet Alex Wong – Part 2

Posted on December 13, 2007December 13, 2007 By sweet surrender 3 Comments on Meet Alex Wong – Part 2

…Continue from Meet Alex Wong – Part 1

Here comes Alex!

Left: Presenting his autographed CD and poster to Irene of Tao.
Right: Uglymen interacting with Alex. Music people talking music of course hahaha… After that I quickly approached Alex and ask him to take photo with me and also forward someone’s regards to him *LOL* Will show you the photo in later post. I almost bit my own tongue -.- Too nervous, didn’t know how to start the conversation with him hahaha…

Left: Guess how much is the bucket!??!? My guess was RM20 *LOL* The real value is RM2000! Faint… Why? The paint is Mercedes Benz’s paint!
Middle & Right: One of Uglymen members saying that it’s “RM0.00” hahaha… His expression is so funny! Even wrote their URL(uglymen.net) on his card 😛 Free publicity hehehe…

Tim & Cynthia guessed RM2000 and RM1999.90! WOW! They won!!

Left: Blind photography. I teamed up with Allen but lose the game, Pazuzu teamed up with Angel and lose too. Got a poster though but it belongs to Allen. SilverIsle(the one in green t-shirt, came all the way from Alor Setar, how lucky, great timing! She was here to cover the Rock Party on Saturday.) was there too! She got second place.
Right: The winner! ARG!! I want that book! Only 1000 copies printed! 🙁 No luck.

Left: Alex autographed Allen’s poster.
Right: Another game that required camera. Compact cameras cannot use one! Only can use DSLR. Need very fast speed. I didn’t mange to shoot his face, we were given 3 chances and the only shot I got was this. Hahaha… Allen won this game and he got that book of Alex!! ARG!!

YAY! He sang! OH MY! I’m sure somebody will faint if she’s there. It’s the first time Alex and Aimi performed “One Day” without a complete band. WOW! He sang 3 songs and each song has story of its own.

Still can’t get enough of him? Hehehe… Next up… camwhore session!!!

Banana Split Ice Cream & Western Cafe

Posted on December 12, 2007December 19, 2007 By sweet surrender 3 Comments on Banana Split Ice Cream & Western Cafe

For those of you that had tagged me, I decided to delay the tags until next year when I go for my KL & Genting trip. I will have them auto publish everyday until I’m back. Hehehe… Thanks for the fillers for my 6 days trip hahahah… At least my blog won’t die for 6 days. If I have the time to update about my trip I will update about it also because I will have Internet access for the 6 days.

WOW! I should update this last week! Only manage to update it now. I’m sure you are here to see what are the places that I went for food but instead I’ve been bombarding you guys with all those events that I had attended these few weeks. Let’s have a change of topic for a while hehehe…

Banana Split Ice Cream & Western Cafe is situated at 3rd Exchange. I knew about it from the newspapers and always wanted to go but it’s out of the way. Finally managed to go after meeting a client one week ago.

The things there are really affordable. The most expensive food on the menu is the rib eye steak that is only RM20!!! WOW!

Left: Sundae-Chocolate Topping(RM3), not bad.
Right: Banana Split (RM5.80)
We were given a glass of cold water also. This is the plus point! I love places that serve their customer with a glass of plain water regardless of what they order.

Oh ya… The photos were taken with my K800i because I didn’t bring my camera out that day. That’s why the colour is quite dull.

I will go back for their western food one day! 😛 Hehehe… I’ve been craving for nice steaks these days… *drool*

By the way, thought that many new eateries opened already but not yet.

Meet Alex Wong – Part 1

Posted on December 11, 2007December 11, 2007 By sweet surrender 5 Comments on Meet Alex Wong – Part 1

I don’t understand why should I rush the job for you when you can’t even rush the payments for me? I’m not going to do free jobs, there’s a limit to everything. Sucks… I’m down with allergy now… *SNEEZE SNEEZE*

WAH! Tonnes of photos to show you! Let me get part 1 of meeting Alex Wong cum bloggers’ meet out first. There will be maybe 3 parts or more coming. I’ll show you photos from my camera first, there will be another batch of photos from “my” DSLR *LOL* I kidnapped Allen‘s DSLR, it’s really scary having someone DSLR under your care -.- hahaha… Thanks Allen for trusting me with your baby. There was a small “mishap” happened also and thanks to whoever that is that saved the flash kit. -.-‘ It slipped off Allen’s hand when he wanted to install it to his camera and someone happened to walk pass and prevented it from falling to the floor. *phew*

Hehehe… Can’t help it, really had a great time and camwhored a lot too!

We arrived before 2pm and many are already there. Wanted to help Ehon because he helped us with Catscity Clique but it seemed like he already had many helpers around so we just took the opportunity to camwhore a bit and ordered our drinks and helped ourselves with finger food provided by Tao.

Tao was closed from 2pm-5pm just for out bloggers’ meet. Thanks to Irene(not me :P) of Tao for sponsoring this event.

The counter where you order your drink. We could order anything from espresso, ice blended, favourites and teapot section. Everyone was given a card to exchange for a drink and a flyer that can be used to ask Alex to autograph later, and sticker to identify ourselves as bloggers or press and another bigger sticker for our collection.

Left: Some gifts for game session later.
Right: Decor of Tao.

The area at the back of Tao where we hung out while waiting for the event to start. We were not supposed to sit there, this place was only for walk-in customer, we were supposed to be confined to the front hahaha… Oh well… 😛 I ordered ice blended mint chocolate. I should have order something light and refreshing to last through the whole hot afternoon but when I see chocolate I lose my judgement already hahaha…

Left: Kueh serimuka some people known it as kueh salat. This one was different, it’s not using the white coloured glutinous rice but using the black(purplish) one.
Right: Hmm… Yam kueh with glutinous rice based? I can’t remember.

Left: Fried popiah with special chili sauce. Not bad.
Right: I heard it’s beef burger. Hmm.. Not so sure, I didn’t eat this.

Left: Sandwich that I didn’t eat also.
Right: “To Irene”, 😛 not for me hahaha… It’s for Irene, Tao’s owner. It’s the latest album of STM(SingleTrackMind)

While waiting, we(Ah Bao, Jimmy, Angel, Gladys and I) camwhored with the Uglymen that flew all the way from Kedah to perform at FE.VER on Saturday night. They came to meet Alex also! WOW! How lucky are you guys to be able to kill 2 birds with one stone, such great timing hehehe… They are not ugly at all hahaha… but They do know how to make fun of themselves and very sporting.

Hmm… The photo was blurred, I don’t know how Allen took this photo hahaha… I think he used the wrong flash 😛

Left: Ehon, how come you become so tall!!?!??! Hahaha…
Right: Took my own photo while waiting sitting at the area reserved for the press but I didn’t see any press hahaha… We are the press! 😛

Hahaha… No Alex photos yet… You have to wait for part 2 😛

Rock Party @ FE.VER 8.12.2007

Posted on December 10, 2007December 10, 2007 By sweet surrender 22 Comments on Rock Party @ FE.VER 8.12.2007

Went to Rock Party @ FE.VER last Saturday.

We reached there at about 7.30pm. Many were there already. My nose and my eyes itched when I stepped into the pub vacinity. Can’t stand those smoke. EWW… There were many newspapers cuttings at the entrance.

You could also buy their CDs on the spot. We just passed them the tickets and got our hand stamped(still can’t wash off until today hahaha…). It turned out that the rest of the bloggers were already there and we all sat at the front, closest to the stage, very close! The special place reserved for us hahaha… That way we can get better photos.

Also camwhored a bit with the girls(Anna, Angel, Gladys and I) hehehe… The place I was sitting was where the spotlight shone directly to my eyes -.- I couldn’t turn my head to see my friends without shielding the light with my hand. So most of the time, I’m just looking at the stage and my back behind my friends. See the light on Anna‘s head? That’s one of the lights. Rose and JF came later.

Let’s the party begin! The guy MC showed off his nipples with his semi-transparent shirt.

First group, Channel 1! Pazuzu was in the middle hahaha…

Close-up shoot of Pazuzu hahaha… The beers. No… I didn’t drink, so smelly, really can’t stand alcohol smell. I didn’t drink a single drip of water that night. Been sneezing on and off also.

Left: The oldest band, Spider Web. They are all our parents age! Hahaha… very energetic and rendered us with many rock oldies.
Right: DJ68 and the staff. Hehehe… Tim camwhored a lot with him because everyone said that they looked alike but they both still don’t understand how much similarity they have *LOL*

Left: Zhao(noise), indeed noisy but the lyrics does reflect our daily life, it’s so true but a bit too loud for me hahaha… My ears were quite painful and I had to resort to stuff my ear with tissue paper! Luckily I bought a pack of tissue with me hahaha… Sorry, didn’t mean to show disrepect, we were sitting so near to the speakers and sub-woofers! Hahaha…
Right: Band members from other bands came up the stage to join the fun by shaking their heads. No! They were not high on ecstasy, they were high from the music.

Left: Leslie, the lead singer of Zhao.
Middle: The two guys, Pazuzu and Allen with their DSLRs, hehehe… Allen’s DSLR was molested by me since Friday night. Oh dear… I got addicted to DSLR already… What should I do?!?!? Need to buy one but not now… Sigh… If only money is not an issue. ARG!
Right: Dance to the music!

Dyerbreed. All so “lau sik”(boy-next-door) look *LOL*

Left: The boys next door unleashed their flesh! 😛 *LOL* The drumer didn’t want to take off his shirt even with the cheers and requests of the audience. “Tuo Diao, Tuo Diao!”(take off, take off)
Right: Visualise.

Left: Uglymen all the way from KEDAH! They came on their own expense to perform here just for us! They are one of the experts and won many awards.
Right: These uncles were so funny! The only band with uniform summore! Also bring their wireless bass and guitar along.

Left: They danced with their banner! *LOL* So funny!
Right: Charlene were asked to go up the stage and they gave her posters and t-shirt.

I went home after this part because somebody happened to pissed me real off that night. You know who you are. I’m not going to tell you who. The person who was involved know it himself. Also, I couldn’t stand it anymore, my contact lense dried up and made my eyes so irritated. So I missed the last two group performances, SLaP! and Dream Machine. Sorry guys.

Here are some shoots of the band members came to autograph the CDs that don’t know which blogger bought hahaha… See Anna and Cynthia so damn excited!

That’s all for the night.

Blogging since 2002. Anything before 2006 is no longer available. It is no longer on this server. Back then, I built my own blog and updated it using HTML. No database or anything. Only started blogging fully with a CMS in 2006. However, whatever was on the Internet will stay on the Internet. So... It should be still somewhere on the Internet. Then again... Why do you want to dig that far?
