The Whispering Wall

Posted on May 31, 2012May 31, 2012 By sweet surrender 1 Comment on The Whispering Wall

The Whispering Wall. Wanted to go there in the previous Barossa Valley trip last year but was too late. It closed at 5pm. Didn’t expect to be able to go there again.

We started our journey from the city at 9am. Stopped by Hungry’s Jack for breakfast before heading to Barossa Valley. You can Visit www.cheapholidays.com to find out whether you will be able to get any cheap holiday to Adelaide or not. Once you’re here, go on a road trip and this is one place you might want to check it out.

To visit the Whispering Wall, travel to Williamstown in the Barossa Valley and follow the signposts from the main street.

What is Whipering Wall? It’s actually a retaining wall of the Barossa Reservoir which was built between 1899 and 1903. It was such an engineering feat that it had grabbed attention of the wall. Can even be found in pages of the journal Scientific American. All these said, I didn’t even know *LOL* I only know you can just whisper from one end and those at the other end will be able to hear you. It was quite fun hahaha… One end to another is more than 100 metres.

Since that day was a great day, the sun was bright, the sky was blue, hence you get such view. Very nice scenery. So glad that it was such a fine weather for such road trip.

Why do you want to dig that far?
