The Face Shop – Brightening Rice Water Cleansing Foam (Migamsu)

Posted on February 22, 2008February 22, 2008 By sweet surrender 6 Comments on The Face Shop – Brightening Rice Water Cleansing Foam (Migamsu)

Ran out of facial cleanser last week, decided to go to The Face Shop at The Spring to buy. I’ve never been to The Face Shop even when I’m in KL therefore I’m not sure about the price range of the products. Initially I wanted to buy from Elianto but my friend told me that the facial cleanser there is very drying. That’s why I went to The Face Shop.

I thought The Face Shop has something to do with The Body Shop, when I went in, they greeted me in Korean, I got kinda shock *LOL* Then I found out their products are from Korea and some from Japan. Things are pretty expensive(for me), to many people it’s actually middle range. I’ve never use products of such price range.

After browsing a while, the sales girl came and assisted me, actually I wanted to leave already after seeing the price but too late… She “caught” me πŸ˜› She introduced me two types of facial cleansers, RM39.90 each. I’ve never use such expensive cleanser ok!?!? The most expensive I’ve used also below RM20. I saw RM35.90 ones hehehe… Thought of settle for that but at the end I settled for the RM39.90 one.

I bought Brightening Rice Water Cleansing Foam (Migamsu). My first time buying such expensive cleanser…

Here’s what I got from The Face Shop’s website.

Concept
A moisturizing and brightening cleansing line with rice water and Moringa oil. Moringa oil known as ‘purifying tree’ in India has very strong detoxifying quality. People used to put grinded Moringa plant in the polluted river water to detoxify.

Description
Contains rice water(10%) Fit Protein orchid extract Vitamin B5 complex. Its creamy and cushiony texture eases handling and moisturizing ingredients leave skin feeling hydrated after cleansing by minimizing moisture loss.

In fact, I was torned between choosing this and ORGANATURE CLEANSING FOAM – Hydrating Beans, both same price.

The smell is quite nice. I think it smells quite yummy *LOL* Indeed it’s not drying, after washing my face, I felt that my face is soft and clean, it felt different from all the other cleaners I used before. It indeed brighten up my skin, it also make makeup application easier.

Few days in a month, my face can be really sensitive and very dry. After I washed my face, some ithcy red spots would appear just anywhere on my face, it would go away after half to one hour later. There would also be dry spots especially on my nose and cheek.

It happened that I’m using this during the-sensitive-skin-days of the month, amazingly the red spots reduced, they are not itchy, dry spots aren’t obvious too.

Just one draw back, my face is small, usually I don’t have to use much cleanser, usually I only squeezed less than half inches. For this, I need to use a bit more which is between half to one inch to get the foam enough to cover my entire face and neck. However, it’s not really a big deal.

Phew… At least the RM39.90 is worth every cent.

Girl Stuffs, Review It!

Allen, Pazuzu uses product from The Face Shop as well?

Irene, I’ve never use that brand. So, not so sure. Am currently using Elken’s product. I’m a lazy girl who doesn’t wash my face so often.
