I met some new friends when I joined the ballroom dancing introductory class. Instantly we clicked. Last week I didn’t continue with the class because need to start paying and I don’t have that money for it. AUD10 a week for two hours. Too much for me. I’m trying to spend less than $10/week for food until I manage to find ways to make some extra money for my entertainment and more food ;p
Anyway, back to this post. One of my new friends offered to take us to Port Adelaide on Sunday but too bad the other friend couldn’t join us so there were only 2 of us.
We met at Adelaide Railway Station and took the 11am+ train. On the train I lost $2.05, most probably it fell out from my coin purse when I took it out which was unzipped! I managed to pick up some coins that fell out but guess I had missed out some. Sigh… I’ve never lost any money my whole life. $2.05 is a lot to me, at least can cover my one day meal(if cooking at home)!
Anyway, going to share the photos with you… Quick post coz need to wake up early tomorrow for early morning class. Many interesting architecture around. Even the signboards were interesting, just like going back in time.
Walking towards the port…
Left: The trees are changing colour.
Right: The lighthouse of Port Adelaide.
Thought of going on the dolphine cruise but after seeing the price, AUD6 per person, we decided to skip and God was probably kind to us… Just as we decided not to go on it, we saw dolphin! No need to go on the cruise anymore and besides it’s not guaranteed to see one too. I did take video of it, will upload it when I have the chance.
Nice scenery, nice weather.
Camwhore *lol* That’s the good thing if go with friends, there’s people to help take photo of you.
Left: Jellyfish.
Right: What’s the name of the bird?
The bridge was lifted up for the ship to get tru’.
Another view, the water was so clear and it sparkled! Can you see it? Probably not, photo too small ;p
The Sunday Market. Lots of things to see and could find many antiques and we realized that how old we are now. All those childhood toys, Ninja Turtles, toy train, toy guns, and so on. Apparently there’s no difference in terms of the toys we had more than 20 years ago be it in Australia or Malaysia. We were playing the same type of toys. We even joked about what will happen if our children see all these toys or stuffs we used to have 20, 30 years ago.
After that we went for KFC before heading back to the city. Will talk about KFC next time ;p
I didn’t expect to be able to go to Port Adelaide so soon. Might be going to Handorf soon too. We’ll see. My friend is planning the trip. Thanks to my new found friend who is so helpful and go the extra mile for me and even treating me to lots of food and drinks after the trip. Good friends are hard to come by. Of course not to forgot all the other friends here, they’re all so helpful. If not for them, I think I’ll be very miserable.
I am sorry to know that you are so tight financially. I hope that you are doing well in your study. It is difficult to spend RM in Australia.
A part time job might help. Hope that you can find one that can suit your schedule.
The market’s HUGE! I would probably spend hours there!
William, yea… Kind of tight. There’s no entertainment or any extra allocation for me. So I have to be very careful with my money, spending as little as possible but at the same time make sure I won’t starve to death ;p I would rather use more money for food than other things. I’m still trying to think what I can do coz I don’t really want to do those waitressing or supermarket jobs. Study wise, it’s quite packed too even though 2 classes a week but workload is huge. Still trying to get a hang of it.
Pixie Peddler, yea… there’s a lot to see!
