Guess Who In Sunday Papers?

Posted on June 16, 2008June 16, 2008 By sweet surrender 14 Comments on Guess Who In Sunday Papers?

Update: I tried to call Dell again and after all the possible diagnosis on the phone, they have to send a technician over tomorrow. The tech support was blur about it also, never he encounter such problem *LOL* At least he assured me it’s not my hard disk problem, I’m so relieved. For the time being, have to make use of this old laptop, hang… Hang… Hang… Wait… Wait… Wait… TOLD YOU I’M JINXED!!! No matter how good the gadget is, as long that I’m the one buying it, I’m the one using it, there would surely be at least one problem 🙁

SHIT SHIT SHIT! MY XPS is now in huge trouble! It can’t startup!!! It kept accessing the DVD drive, it sounded like Transformer and no loading of Windows -.-” I tried to slot a Dell driver CD in and thought might be able to prompt the screen to show something but to no avail and worst it cannot be ejected!! *CRY* Called Dell support and all the agents were busy and waiting for them to call me back. Now using old laptop… Hang, hang, hang… I almost want to reformat everything from this old laptop and fully use the new one, luckily I didn’t. OMG! WHAT HAPPEN!!! Yesterday was fine. Before I shut down, Windows update itself and this morning cannot startup 🙁

Anyway, let’s go back to the main topic…

Shop Safely Online

Posted on June 16, 2008June 16, 2008 By sweet surrender No Comments on Shop Safely Online

Many people like to shop online these days. I’m one of them also. It’s so convenient to shop online because you can shop anytime you want, anywhere you are and get the item send to your doorstep. Sometimes we have to shop online because the things we need aren’t available locally or we could get it online with cheaper price even after including the shipping fee. With the petrol price increase nowadays, many people try to stay home as much as they can to reduce the petrol usage. Therefore shopping online seems to be a very good option.

Many people are not confident in shopping online because they are afraid of credit card fraud and indentity fraud. Identity fraud getting rampant nowadays be it offline or online. There are many unscrupulous companies that sell your information to third parties and this explains why everyday we got so many phone calls from telemarketers trying to sell you their products or scammers calling you up trying to scam you.

When you don’t provide your details such as credit card numbers, bank accounts, billing address, email address, and login information to the website you shop at, then you will not be the potential victim but you know that you have to do so else you won’t be able to pay and get your product. So how? How to protect yourself when you are online especially when you shop online since there are many hackers around that are waiting to harvest your credit card and other personal information? Here’s something that you might find helpful.

ShopshieldShop Shield® is a new consumer service that offers complete protection against identity theft and fraud when you shop online. The good thing about this is that it’s free, new, unique, complete, and cutting edge privacy solution to protect your identity when shopping online. With it, you don’t have to have your details stored in the website you shop. Amazing don’t you think?

Currently it’s in live beta test and they want consumers to sign-up for usability testing. Do you want to be a part of it? If you do, rememebr to Visit Shop Shield® to Learn More

The Two Bananas

Posted on June 15, 2008June 15, 2008 By sweet surrender 12 Comments on The Two Bananas

^*^$%$% I wanted to pay for my first installment and 2 exam fees but why la make me pay for my second installment with my payment!!! Now I have to pay extra this month for the exam fees again! SUCKS! Supposed to be spending RM1300 this month and now I have to fork out another RM300 for my exam fee! You know RM300 can do a lot of things in a month or not!??! Damn it! Ever since the first day I attended class, you guys kept messing up my payments!

Went to Two Bananas for lunch. It’s located at Jalan Keretapi. Will show you the location map later.

I notice it quite sometimes ago but always forget about it hahaha…

Left: The name is quite funny and the menu… I’m so sorry… I just can’t stop giggling when I see the two bananas. Hehehe… You know what I’m thinking? *LOL* As if they are trying to outdo each other :p I mean it just seemed so wrong to me *LOL* *SMACK HEAD* Excuse me but these two are male bananas!! OK! OK! Enough!

Right: Barley lemon and ice lemon tea, both RM2, quite small glass.

Left: Thai Chicken with Rice(RM4.50), so sweet… I had difficulty finishing it. I never like food like this, don’t know how to explain *LOL* the two pictures above is enough to explain the kind of food I don’t like. I always try to avoid ordering food like this, it’s just too boring and nothing special, I always not satisfied after eating this type of food. Picky, picky…

Right: Kam Hiong Sotong with Rice(RM5), first few bites of the sotong wasn’t bad but too much of it, it’s pretty salty!!

Overall, food price I think it is not so bad, pretty standard for place with air-conditioning but I don’t see the food has anything much to rave about. Just so-so to me, at least for the food that I had. Other food, I don’t know, don’t have such money and luxury to try out more.

The location map I promised.

Green Heights Mall

Sigh… There you go… My nightmare begins… I was invited for a food tasting this afternoon but because of my class I can’t go 🙁

I didn’t want to loss out so I went to Green Heights Mall yesterday. This is the latest mall in Kuching. If you are expecting it to be another big one, you’re so wrong, it’s so small. Very small that meant to be for those staying nearby instead of huge mall like tHe Spring or Boulevard. When everyone is trying to build the biggest mall, this one stands out by just being the smallest one.

The opening ceremony was over when I reached there. Coffee Bean isn’t open for business yet. So do other shops, you can even count with your 5 fingers.

Left: Cold Storage is finally here in Kuching. I had surveyed some of the stuffs there. Some of them are slightly expensive compare to other places. They have lots of imported food that I don’t think I’ve seen it anywhere in Kuching before. They aren’t cheap of course. There’s a cheese section, wow… See the stock of cheese, I’ve never seen so many different types of cheese before. At the meat section, they have meats that are marinated and nicely presented, don’t be fool by the cheap prices you see, it’s actually displayed based on per gram instead of kilo hahaha…

Right: Desserts, the third branch in Kuching, it’s expanding really fast.

Left: The only escalator you can find.

Right: Second floor has nothing yet. Only 4 stalls are opened. The rest still not open for business.

Left: They try to bring in the natural light with this.

Right: Random shoot of the decorations hanging from the ceiling.

Left: View of a section of Cold Storage taken from the second floor.

Right: Guardian is having special offers now. If you buy more than RM80 worth of products, you get a goodie bags! I got it and there’re lots of samples in there. Great for my trip to Penang this October. If you buy more than RM50, you can get RM5 discount with the voucher available on the flyer they’re giving out.

It seemed like most people went there and ended up with bags and bags of stuffs. Business seemed pretty good hahaha…

Here In My Home

I know… I know…I’m extremely late in posting this. Anyway, it’s better than never, enjoy the music video. Ponder upon it.

This is a non-profit, non-partisan, independent project from Malaysians directly to Malaysians.

This muisc video was introduced few months back if I’m not mistaken. I never have the chance to watch it because everytime I wanted to watch it, it just didn’t want to load. Even if it loaded, there’s no sound coming out or it would only load for few seconds and not moving anymore. Finally yesterday it works!

Some said that the video is sensitive, I don’t see it… Hmm…

You can get more details at malaysianartistesforunity.info

Blogging since 2002. Anything before 2006 is no longer available. It is no longer on this server. Back then, I built my own blog and updated it using HTML. No database or anything. Only started blogging fully with a CMS in 2006. However, whatever was on the Internet will stay on the Internet. So... It should be still somewhere on the Internet. Then again... Why do you want to dig that far?
