Food Tasting @ Kim Bay HK-Macau Restaurant

Posted on May 29, 2009May 29, 2009 By sweet surrender 5 Comments on Food Tasting @ Kim Bay HK-Macau Restaurant

Just gonna do a quick update. Exam tomorrow!

Went to Kim Bay HK-Macau Restaurant yesterday for food tasting session. Don’t know where this new place is located? It’s at tHe Spring, same row as Silhouette and Food & Tea. Just walk to the end and you will find it.

The following will be all the food that I had tasted, too many. I didn’t stay till the end because there is no end! *LOL* The food kept coming out non-stop. I don’t have any details of the food to share, some might be in the menu, some might not as they were fine tuning it. Today is the soft opening for it. Enjoy the photos….

Duan Wu Jie 2009

Posted on May 28, 2009May 28, 2009 By sweet surrender 3 Comments on Duan Wu Jie 2009

It’s that time of the year again. Chang Festival or also known as duan wu jie in Chinese. Want to know what it’s all about, you can check out my previous post about it.

Actually I’m running out of thing to blog but should have more after my exam. Busy preparing for my exam and there’s so many theories and “big words” this semester ARG! Can’t seem to memorize them well without referring.

Quite busy today. Went to tHe Spring for some food tasting since noon at the going to be opened soon eatery then after that stuffed myself again at tHe Spring Food Bazaar. I’m think I’ve been eating for almost 3 hours straight from one place to another ;p. Thanks for the treat.

Time to go back to memorize and memorize again, too many “big words” to remember aih…

My First HeartBeat Cheque

Posted on May 27, 2009May 27, 2009 By sweet surrender 4 Comments on My First HeartBeat Cheque

Remember I blogged about HeartBeat online personalized gift store before? I did blog about their affiliate program before. If you don’t remember, nevermind. Here I share with you again.

I finally got my money, actually quite long time ago coz I lazy to post. I cashed out on 31st March 2009 and they finally paid me in May. It seems like it took quite a while but in fact it’s in reasonable time frame.

They banked in the cheque for me instead of sending it to me. They took picture of the cheque as proof and sent me an acknowledge form to sign.

In fact you can opt to redeem gifts with the money you got but I rather get the money than products ;p If you want the money then you have to wait for a minimum of RM50 to cash out.

Why don’t you sign up for it? Even if you don’t get many referrals, you can always get 20% discount on your purchase if you are their affiliate. Why not?

Facebook Games

Posted on May 26, 2009May 26, 2009 By sweet surrender 14 Comments on Facebook Games

I’ve been seeing people playing games in facebook for quite a while and I did not understand and got no interest at all to join in the bandwagon.

Then few days ago, I was feeling not really in the mood to study and then I got nothing much to do, actually there are but I’m demotivated by somebody’s attitude and I’m mentally and emotionally tired. I decided to check out what those games are all about that are making so many people went crazy about. On that fateful day, I too got stuck with the games! OH NO! ;p

First, I tried Restaurant City, this is the most addictive! OH DEAR! You know what I do? I log into the game, supervise a bit, let it runs on its own, and I do my revision. Guess what?!?! I revise better and faster. Weird eh?

Then, when I’m done with a part of my revision, I will check back and see whether there is anything that I need to do to improve my score or just to add something here and there. After that, I will go back to do my revision again.

Hahaha… Before that, my revision pace was so slow but now it’s fast! Actually I’m not the kind that can do my revision in quiet environment and only do revision. I have to watch TV, listen to radio or at least do something else I won’t be able to revise anything.

By the way, seeing them move around is quite fun also. Kinda cute hehehe… I could sometimes stare at the game for minutes to see them move around *LOL*

Next, I tried Happy Farm. Not so addictive but fun enough.

There isn’t much to do but wait for most of the time. You have to wait for your plants to grow and sell them. Once in a while, you will need to kill the weeds and worms or water. Sometimes if I feel a bit restless, then I will go steal some veggies from my friends or help kill the weeds and worms or help watering the plants for my friends.

Lastly, it’s Pet Society. This doesn’t give me much excitement, I think it’s quite boring. You have to keep entertaining your pet else there is nothing much to do. A bit too much work for me since I’m doing my revision. ;p

So that’s all for today. Any plan for this coming weekend and long holiday? All I know is that I will be having exams on this weekend. Then… jiak kaki I guess… How I wish my darling is here with me… Anyone wanna date me? ;p

Stage Lighting Please…

Posted on May 25, 2009May 26, 2009 By sweet surrender 2 Comments on Stage Lighting Please…

Ok… I’m currently running out of thing to blog and busy with my exam preparations. So I’m going to make this post as short as I can ;p

I’m not a pro photographer(obviously…), I don’t use a pro-set aka DSLR. However I like to cover events especially fashion shows or catwalks. It’s quite disappointing that we seldom get good lighting in Kuching’s shows. OK! Don’t bomb me! This is the fact, I’m not the only saying so, I’ve been hearing these over and over again from those photography friends that I know. I couldn’t agree more with them.

Com’on! If it’s show to showcase makeup or beauty or fashion, you shouldn’t be using those colourful lights that kept changing colours. It’s not a concert, if it’s concert, well… It’s understandable. Shows like makeup, beauty or fashion should use lighting that will make the makeup, models or whatever they are showcasing clear and beautiful to the audiences.

I received a comment recently from somebody saying that only officially appointed photographer can rectify the lighting problems with all his gears. The thing is why only the photographer? It’s a public event. You are supposed to showcase the beauty to the audiences! Yet the lighting uglified them.

From such comments, can I said that those bad lighting are meant to deter the public to take photos? Hmmm… You tell me? If that is the case, then what is the point of showing it to the public?

Furthermore, I got a comment in my other blog lamenting about the bad lighting from the participants herself. She and her teams were extremely disappointed with the lighting.

See?!?! It’s not only me or my friends that thought so. Even the participants themselves were also disappointed.

Last but not least, hopefully there will be improvement for the lighting in such shows in Kuching. I know several organizers that did very good lighting, kudos to you people. For those that “fail” in this area, you should learn from them.

Hmm… I think I will get bomb again. Oh well… Lately I’ve been getting many comments from people that don’t like the way I express myself but I deleted most of the comments. They typed such long comments, very looooong… So long that can be published as a post! Lamenting about my very good English to how pretty I am *LOL* Too bad… I don’t appreciate their hard works *LOL* However, still have to thank them for contributing to my growing traffic. In other words, I make money from my ads due to their visits.

MUAHAHA! Back to revision…

Blogging since 2002. Anything before 2006 is no longer available. It is no longer on this server. Back then, I built my own blog and updated it using HTML. No database or anything. Only started blogging fully with a CMS in 2006. However, whatever was on the Internet will stay on the Internet. So... It should be still somewhere on the Internet. Then again... Why do you want to dig that far?
