On the Way to Adelaide

Posted on March 27, 2011March 27, 2011 By sweet surrender 6 Comments on On the Way to Adelaide

Boarded the flight at 4pm+.

Left: I check-in not only from Kuching to KL but also asked them to help me check in for the flight from KL-Adelaide.

Right: Food of course, I didn’t expect lunch or consider that as dinner? Hahaha…

I had sweet and sour fish rice. It’s tasteless -.-” Only tasted a bit of sour. Sorry for the blurness, hehehe… The flight was full and the aunty next to me was looking at me as if never see people take photo of food ;p So I quickly took the picture and ate.

Flight to Adelaide was supposed to be about 9.20pm but it was delayed for roughly an hour. Had my dinner at Burger King. Funny thing was that, while I was in the boarding hall, I kept thinking I’m in Kuching even though it’s so much difference from what we have in Kuching. My mind kept saying that I’m still in Kuching *LOL*

Apparently I’m the first to check-in and I got the seat at the very last row of the B777-200, aisle seat. Cool! I thought the seat could not recline but it could, so that’s good. Even the overhead compartment only hold my bag. What’s more, I’m so near to the toilet too. So convenient. I kept asking water from the crew as I want to keep myself hydrated. I could keep going to the toilet without disturbing anyone.

Sitting next to me was an English uncle. He and his wife bought 3 seats but there’s only 2 of them. When sleep, he lay down to sleep. So, 4 seats with 3 ppl. How nice. The two seats next to me were reserved for the crews.

Took off, and had salted peanut, it wasn’t nice at all unlike what I usually had from my sis’ trip back home. Hmm…

Then at 12am, breakfast! WOW! Before touch down, another round of simple breakfast(yogurt and chocolate muffin).

The view was so nice but too bad I’m not sitting at the window seat. In fact I could just go to the seats reserved for the crew to take the photo but that window was so dirty -.-” So I asked another passenger who seated at the window seat to help me take the photo. Even the English uncle wanted a photo of the view too so I helped him to ask that passenger to help take another one.

The view was breathtaking. Just too bad… If I’m sitting at the window seat, I would make sure to have many good shoots of it. Basically the camera was focusing on the dead insects ;p

Next up… My first day in Adelaide.

Enjoy your new venture. River Torrens and Botanica Gardens behind and beside University of Adelaide has great view and good for photo taking. Outskirt of Adelaide has spectacular scenery. You can visit Barossa Valley, Handolf, Aelaide Hill etc. Now is a very good season as everything is turning green. You can cathch a bus to Handolf and during Autumn, the scenery is very pretty because all the maple leaves are turning red.

William, I haven’t finish exploring the city, yesterday went to the river and the casino, basically that area, enjoying the sun. Tomorrow will venture to the Uni Adelaide side. I wanted to go to Glenelg and so on using the tram but kind of blur on how to go around, scare got lost hahaha… Since I’ll be going alone. Will see how after finishing the city or until I found someone that will accompany me.
