My New Sunglasses

Posted on July 20, 2010July 21, 2010 By sweet surrender 8 Comments on My New Sunglasses

My sunglasses spoiled long time ago. I decided to ask my sister to get a pair for me when she went back to UK with my parents since there’s summer sales going on. Great time to shop ;p Branded and quality stuffs were so much more cheaper than what we have here. Even with all the discounts going on here, it’s not going to go any lower than over there.

My dad almost went on a shopping spree. If not because of my mom stopping him, he would be coming back with tonnes of branded stuffs which he didn’t even want to touch back home. That’s because with the budget that he is willing to spend here can actually get him better quality products there for example a pair of shoes. He will never bother to check out on Clarks here but he bought a pair there, discounted price and still much cheaper than back here after discount. Some more his size was available!

I was even told that he wanted to buy a branded matching set of luggage/bag for my mom and I but my mom stopped him from buying. Now… I guess he understands how my sister has been spending his money all these years ;p

Let’s say I have RM80. Here, I can’t get anything decent but lousy quality clothes; there, with RM80 I could get more than one branded clothes and better quality of course. Well, this only applies when you do not purposely fly there to shop, I’m not that rich *LOL* A return trip costs about RM4000+/person!

Anyway, back to the sunglasses.

Took her quite awhile to find one for me after going around the UK. She ended up getting me a Pilgrim. It was on discount. Original price was almost £80, after discount, it’s only £12+. Can you even get such price here?!?

Hehehe… Camwhored!

Next, my dad bought another two pairs from Boots at Newcastle airport. It was on some sort of offer, if not mistaken it was buy 2 pairs at the price of 1. So… I got 3 pairs of sunglasses! I don’t think I’ll use all of them, gonna give one pair to my brother. Original price was £22/pair.

Something different there…

Camwhored again! ;p Ignore the price tags hehehe…

Another pair, just a normal pair, silver in colour.

That’s how I ended with 3 pairs of sunglasses when I only asked for one. At least it’s useful, I seriously need it next year.

Hi Irene, I guess you the apple of your Dad’s eye, huh? I love the ones at bottom pic….looks real stylish and glamorous on you.
My wife too only last week got herself new sunglasses and this time decided to get Rayban Aviators….the fashion has not changed since 1942.

And practically every Hollywood actor, actress has one….Angelina Jolie wears one often too.
With its gold rims, looks real stylish….
    You have fun, Lee.

Uncle Lee, I was thinking of getting an aviator but I forgot to tell my sister about it, didn’t want to make her life so difficult, I just told her to get anything that fancied her. I was told she spent hours at many shopping malls at different cities just to find a suitable sunglasses for me, man… I sure feel bad about that.

Be gladful that the living expenses are so cheap in Malaysia beside car and few others. A plate of similar food will easily cost 6 times more oversea.

William, yea… indeed. If it comes to shopping then I don’t think Malaysia is the place to go. Of course, you don’t purposely go fly out there to shop, it’s a bit too much ;p

I am in my final week in M’sia. Spent to attend events like no tomorrow. Yup, things are cheap considering the cost and currency conversion. But transport ended expensive XD
