We wanted to go to Garden Steamboat last Saturday night but they were closed for Raya. So we changed to Tabuan Laru Chong Qing steamboat but guess what!?!?! It’s no longer operating… So sad… So we just simply find a place there to eat. Ended up at Mother’s Recipe.
It’s nyonya cuisine.
Soya bean(RM1.80), ice lemon tea(RM1.80) and barley(RM1.80). Expensive -.-“
Left: Plain rice(can’t remember the price)
Right: Fresh Stir-Fried Kai Lan(RM6), not bad…
Left: Pork Leg With Mushroom(RM6), not so bad.
Middle: Chicken Sweet Corn Soup(RM6), tastless.
Right: Thick Nyonya Chicken Curry(RM6), nice 🙂 How pathetic… On 1st day of Raya, everyone got to eat free curries and we had to pay to eat and so little summore hahaha…
When they brought the food out, we were so surprised, the portions were so small for the 6 of us *LOL* Quite expensive. For the 6 of us, the total amount was RM39!!! With this amount we can eat till we’re full at a coffeeshop or restaurant for the 6 of us! We were only half full. We decided to go to Jalan Song for second round. To be continued… 😛
saw this place before.. wanted to give a try.. but.. after reading the above entry.. i think it’s not worth trying .. hmm..

The food looks absolutely delicious, though it does look kinda small portions …
Very small portion -.-” even at home with 5 people, our portion is bigger than this. However, the curry really not bad.
I ate free food for Raya… you should have joined me.. hehehe…

went once for late dinner at 8pm. totally regretted it. somemore its open by dad’s fren but my dad only went once also hahahhaa
PG, hahaha… It’s really expensive, no doubt about it. The only thing that we think it’s nice was the curry, the rest… My mom can cook better *LOL*

I can’t stop laughing when I saw your comment on the food and price. Ya I did try out once and I order the pork leg rice and my sis order the mee hon. I do agree its over price for the food and drinks. I attracted by their shop name. Thought like Secret Recipe ma turn out so so. My mom can cook better ha ha
