Klorane Strengthening, Detangling Balm with Quinine & Vitamin B

Posted on May 27, 2010May 28, 2010 By sweet surrender No Comments on Klorane Strengthening, Detangling Balm with Quinine & Vitamin B

I got Klorane Strengthening, Detangling Balm with Quinine & Vitamin B last year from Singapore. My sis bought some skincare products and this was one of the samples they gave her.

Klorane quinquina extract
The quinquina is a tree which originates from South America. The extract from its bark contains quinine, which is well-known for its fortifying properties. The researchers at Klorane Laboratories have selected an extract of red quinquina due to its particularly high content of quinine, which has a stimulating action on the hair bulb and in turn strengthens the hair.

Smell: It’s so strong, very creamy smell, don’t know how to explain. It smelt some sort of like heavily scented lotion or deodorant. Even it’s sealed, I could smell the smell already. I guess the smell was the quinquina smell. It’s not offensive, it’s just not the kind of smell I like.

Texture: It’s similar to your usual hair conditioner.

Effect: The effect was immediate. My hair felt so soft and shinier than it used to and so much easier to maintain until the next wash. My curls were quite defined too.

Downside: The smell was strong! It was there until my next hair wash. I don’t really like the smell. It’s hard to rinse off.

Will I buy?: I don’t think I’ve seen it in the market. I have no idea how much this thing costs. If not for the smell, I would consider getting it. Did a rough search online, the price stated was USD14 for 150ml. Hmm… A bit way out of my budget though.

Blogging since 2002. Anything before 2006 is no longer available. It is no longer on this server. Back then, I built my own blog and updated it using HTML. No database or anything. Only started blogging fully with a CMS in 2006. However, whatever was on the Internet will stay on the Internet. So... It should be still somewhere on the Internet. Then again... Why do you want to dig that far?
