Got my passport today. Got really nice expiry date, 14/4/14 hahaha…
Finally I did my booking! I’m going to Singapore this August. Will be going with my aunt and will meet my sis there in Singapore.
Did a quick research since this morning and only just now found out that Tiger Airways is having zero fare promo. I think it ends today.
Made the booking and I paid RM189 for return ticket. In fact my target was below RM300 but who knows there’s RM200 and below offer. It’s a deal! Even with the “hidden charge” of the airline, the convenience fee -.-” RM25 per person. I hate it. Why? That is because it didn’t reflect in the total and when you make your payment, it was only reflected after the transaction was completed. So be prepared to get shocked with the extra charge.
What you see in the picture is not the final amount you are making. The final total is RM378 for two persons.
Then the itinerary didn’t have much details just like Air Asia. You only see the passenger name, contact details, flight details and money you paid(without breakdown of charges) but there’s no other details such as passport number of each passenger.
Oh! One thing I’m not sure, I didn’t choose any seat because if you choose your seat, you will have to pay for it. Do they assign to you randomly or you must make your choice? GOSH! I hope this is not another hidden cost when check-in -.-” Anyone has any idea?
So I will be away from 17 August 2009-21 August 2009. Should be able to update blog by then or have series of scheduled posts ;p My mission is to “eat” Singapore, no shopping, what to shop? No money to splurge. I rather feed my stomach.
The last tim I went to Tiger was from Melbourne to Perth.. and they’re doing OK.. Free seating I got.. so I got up into the plane and pick seats like in air asia..
Apparently, i’m going to Singapore as well but in July. Bought the AirAsia ticket yesterday, cost me about RM189 (the Fare is RM18 return), inclusive of RM5 for PickASeat. I prefer to pick my seat, so really like AirAsia’s idea of having that service included even though I need to pay RM5 for it.
Tried Tiger Air before, but i still prefer AirAsia. For your question regarding seating, if you don’t pick one, they will randomly assign one for you (any non-picked seat).
Patrick, oh… Good, I don’t want another hidden charge.
Keeman, I know many people also prefer Air Asia than Tiger, frankly me too even though haven’t board the flight yet.
The site is giving me a headache, not user friendly. Then, the “hidden charge” is just soo… Shocking, as far as I know for Singapore or Australia they charge SGD5 or AUD5 per person per transaction but Malaysia RM25 per person per transaction. If there is no such charge then it’s only RM164.
Since there’s no offer for AA on the date I want, so just take Tiger. It’s below RM200, so better than nothing. Almost booked Jetstar cos it’s RM200+ phew… lucky can save some Ringgits.
But it’s good to have more than one airline flying the same routes. We can take advantage of their competitive promotions.
Anyhow, enjoy your trip to Singapore! :p
yes, hehe… yea.. they compete, we untung ;p
Wah, so envy-lah…I don’t even have a passport yet…LOL!
hahaha… u got MSN? Want to add you. SMS me ;p
welcome to singapore 🙂
Mssheepy, 😉 Thanks. Maybe we can arrange a meet up.
I’ve always wanted to go Singapore.. But maybe when I’m more loaded *LOL*
ahlost, yea… Exchange rate is high now but luckily I have my aunt there, so we’ll be staying at her place so can save quite a bit coz usually accommodation takes up a lot of cost.
I think they will assign you random seat if you did not choose your seat during booking. AirAsia does like this too. Anyway, do blog about your flying experience with the Tiger, ok?
jam, yea… I guess so also, i will. Impossible they charge again. Surely will blog about it.
