Fruity-Tutty Talk – Malaysian Fruits

Posted on January 15, 2007January 16, 2007 By sweet surrender 12 Comments on Fruity-Tutty Talk – Malaysian Fruits

In conjunction with VMY 2007 (Visit Malaysia Year 2007), let me introduce some local fruits today. Currently we can get a lot of these in the market.

First of all, DURIAN! King of the fruits. If you want to know more about it, click here to learn more about durian.

We have king, we should have a queen. Here’s the queen of the fruits, MANGOSTEEN. Click here to learn more about mangosteen.

When it’s the season of durians and mangosteen, you will also see RAMBUTAN around. Click here to learn more about rambutan.

Now… Let’s welcome “BUAH TERAP”. I’m not sure what it’s called in English. It belongs to the Moraceae family. I couldn’t seem to find much details about it in English. WAIT!! Finally found it!!It’s also known as “marang”, click here to learn more about “buah terap” or “marang”.

Lastly, there’s another fruit called LANGSAT but I have no photo with me. Forgotten to take them. However, you can see a portion of them in the picture above, see those small round fruits under the “buah terap”? So if you would like to know more about it, click here to learn more about langsat.

Hehehe… See how lazy I am? πŸ˜›

MMMMMM I miss rambutan. Very hard to find them here. One store has them but they want $1 U.S. for a single piece.

Blogging since 2002. Anything before 2006 is no longer available. It is no longer on this server. Back then, I built my own blog and updated it using HTML. No database or anything. Only started blogging fully with a CMS in 2006. However, whatever was on the Internet will stay on the Internet. So... It should be still somewhere on the Internet. Then again... Why do you want to dig that far?
