Flinders Station

Posted on August 22, 2013August 22, 2013 By sweet surrender 3 Comments on Flinders Station

Went to Flinders Station few weeks back. Oh! This is the one in Kuching not Melbourne ;p Also, this is a western restaurant not a train station.

Flinders Station is located at Song Plaza. They have the tagline “The Real Aussie Taste”. Well… I don’t know… What’s Aussie food? Seriously, I have no idea. All I know is they like to BBQ stuff, beer, and wine *LOL* It’s a country with so many people from around the world living and with so many types of cuisines.

Left: Lemon juice, very big glass.

Anyway, ordered some food which are obviously not Aussie food. Wanted to order a nice Australian sirloin steak but it’s a bit too pricey because I wasn’t the one paying and it’s not good to order something more than double the price of the one who treated you. Right?

Left: Aglio Olio Seafood (RM14.90), aglio olio spaghetti tossed with FT’s special spice blend with fish bites, prawns, calamari, and mussel. I just simply made an order and it turned out not bad. At least that’s what my palate told me, I’m not sure about other people’s and in fact this is the first time I have aglio olio ;p Surprise!?!?

Right: Chicken Maryland (RM12.90), deep fried chicken served with onion rings, mashed potato, coleslaw and mushroom sauce. It’s good that they didn’t flood the sauce on the meat. I really like the mashed potato but not the meat, it’s just too oily.

Overall, I will come back again one day to try other food especially the steak. Don’t know when hahaha… As I seldom go back to a place for second time even though it’s good unless my appointment is set there by whoever I’m meeting. Our total bill came up to RM30+ with 10% discount using the OurYouth.my card.

I thought it was the one in Melbourne. Haha! Maybe they’re from Melbourne? The owners I mean.

Hi Irene, wow, love this place. You sure doing some travelling.
    How’s everyone at home?
Irene, may I make a suggestion?
Why not you change your blog to one that does not require visitors to type in email, do arithmetic and type our URL too.
As well get bigger pictures too.
    Just a suggestion.
    Have a fun weekend.
    Lee.

Huai Bin, hahaha! I’m not sure who is the owner but I think it’s someone I know but I didn’t prob further that time.

Uncle Lee, yes, quite a bit of traveling lately. What to do? I need to take the measure of asking people in answering the math question because of crazy number of spams I got. I once tried to deactivate it and guess what? In just 15 minutes, I got almost 100 spams coming in non-stop! Tried other spam prevention tools but all didn’t deliver as good as this. I got almost zero spam.

As for the e-mail, it’s a way to recognize those who I had let them tru’ at my immigration checkpoint ;p If the person never commented, it will be stored in my checkpoint until I approve it. Also, I don’t think I can deactivate it as it’s already fixed in this CMS unless I redo the whole program code hehehe….

As for the photos, I tried to have bigger ones before but it just didn’t go well with my layout and to avoid people stealing my photos which happened before. Also, it will take ages to load, file size will be bigger and file number will increase. I get a lot of this suggestion hehehe… I guess only until I change to a whole new layout then I will change the way the pictures are displayed. 😉

    Thanks Uncle Lee!

Blogging since 2002. Anything before 2006 is no longer available. It is no longer on this server. Back then, I built my own blog and updated it using HTML. No database or anything. Only started blogging fully with a CMS in 2006. However, whatever was on the Internet will stay on the Internet. So... It should be still somewhere on the Internet. Then again... Why do you want to dig that far?
