Garnier Aqua Defense Refreshing Toner

Posted on March 14, 2010March 14, 2010 By sweet surrender 1 Comment on Garnier Aqua Defense Refreshing Toner

Previously I bought Garnier Aqua Defense Essence and I’m still going back to it after I finished my first jar because I really like it. I even used it as mask sometimes. Applied a thick layer and leave it on my face for 5 minutes. After that, massage in the rest but usually not much left on my face, that’s how dehydrated my skin is.

I decided to try out Garnier Aqua Defense Refreshing Toner when I finished my previous toner. It’s quite affordable, below RM20, I don’t remember the actual price. I got it with discount price too during year end sale or something.

This is what I got from the bottle:
“…with pure anti-oxidant fruit water to help you lift off impurities and intensively hydrate your skin. Skin is instantly fresh, hydrated with a healthy radiance.”

I really like this toner. No alcohol, no unpleasant smell, not drying instead very hydrating and refreshing. Love the scent too. Most importantly, it didn’t give me breakouts unlike some toners that I tried before.

Usually this is what I do:
1. Soak the cotton pad with the toner and the sweep over the face to remove impurities.
2. Pad the cotton pad on the face to get the goodness of the toner into the skin cells.
3. Sometimes, I will leave the soaked cotton pad on my dry spots as mask for a minute.

I found out that some people actually used it as face mist(pour some into spritz bottle). One affordable toner that can serve many purposes.

Two thumbs up from me.

Printed My Photos @ eoe.com.my

Posted on March 10, 2010March 10, 2010 By sweet surrender 2 Comments on Printed My Photos @ eoe.com.my

First of all, I’m not paid for this. I know eoe.com.my has blogger review program but I didn’t join.

Few weeks back, I decided to print my photo with eoe.com.my. I have 2 years worth of photos(159 of them) that I didn’t develop. Having hardcopies are good coz you will never know when your softcopies will be corrupted. If it does happen, there goes all your memories. So I filtered out the photos that were worth printing and uploaded them to eoe.com.my for printing.

Only RM0.30/photo for 4R(you can’t get this rate in the market!) and there’s free shipping if your order more than RM35. I’m quite lazy to go out to send my photos to print. Not only that, I have to burn them into DVD since there were many file files and were huge! What a waste of time, energy and money. So eoe.com.my came in pretty handy.

From uploading to printing and to get them to my doorstep via Poslaju took only less than a week. I made payment using Maybank2u.

Wondering how to upload so many photos online without getting disconnected? No worries, they have their program for it, you can resume your upload anytime you want. All you need to do is download it, install it, choose your photos and upload them in one go. Just leave the program open with your connection of course and let it runs on its own.

Few years back, you really had to upload one by one but not now. You can still opt for one by one upload if you want ;p Why make your life so hard?

In fact I knew about eoe.com.my quite a while ago but those time I asked my friend to upload them for me since I didn’t have that many photos to develop so we combined so that could enjoy the shipping fee.

I do recommend this service 🙂 It’s easy, do it anytime as long that you have your photos and internet connection, it will save lots of time, energy and money.

IN2IT Waterproof Gel Liner

Posted on March 8, 2010March 10, 2010 By sweet surrender 6 Comments on IN2IT Waterproof Gel Liner

I’ve been trying to look for pencil liner so that I can line my lower lids. I cannot line my lower lids with SILKYGIRL Precision Liquid Eyeliner. I had one pencil liner from a very reputable brand, it’s not cheap but it failed big time, smudged like crazy even though it stated that it’s smudge-proof! I will blog about it next time.

Then I found IN2IT Waterproof Gel Liner somewhere last year. I drew it on my hand and it didn’t smudge or budge at all! No matter how I rubbed or applied water to it. I decided to get it in January after long procrastination. It cost me RM29+ (if I’m not mistaken), it’s below RM30.

It came with its on sharpener. Basically the package consisted of one gel liner and a hardened steel sharpener.

Usually gel liner comes in a small jar but this is pencil type.

Waterproof, long wearing, smooth, dries in 60 seconds, easy to apply, no smudging, no bleeding, no running are very important for me because I always suffered from eyeliner smudge.

The funny thing was that, I tried to draw it on my hand again after I bought it, it didn’t give me the effect that I experienced the first time I came across it. It smudged after I rub it with or without water -.-” At least it’s not as bad as the other eyeliner of mine.

Anyway, I took the risk and applied it for the first time. It didn’t smudge at all! It lasted the whole day even with very hot and humid weather. I was impressed! These photos were taken after 5 hours of applying it. No editing done to the photos.

However, lately, most of the time it smudged on me, I have no idea why. Why?

Since this is happening, good thing I have black eyeshadow, so I layer my eye shadow on it and it didn’t smudge after that. Then again… This didn’t work 2 weeks ago -.-” ARG!

At least it didn’t smudge immediately, only after 3 hours or so of having it on. Hmmm… Why? Why? Why?

Do I recommend this? Well… If you don’t have oily lids, then just go for it. If you have oily lids, you still can go for it but it doesn’t work all the time.

Mandom Cleansing Express Eye Makeup Remover

Posted on March 4, 2010March 10, 2010 By sweet surrender 1 Comment on Mandom Cleansing Express Eye Makeup Remover

Another made in Japan product that I bought along with Biore UV Perfect Face Milk. I have no idea why almost all the things that I bought that day were made in Japan.

I had not heard of Mandom Cleansing Express Eye Makeup Remover before this. I was just having too much time and decided to browse around Watsons. I came across a shelf with many products with Japanese words and got curious. Since I have the time, I studied them one by one until I saw this and immediately settled for this.

My eye makeup remover finished long time ago and had been using Loreal De-maq Elixir Concentrate Ultra Make-up Remover for removing all my makeup but got a bit frustrated when removing eye makeup with it especially after having heavy stage or photography makeup. I’ve been trying to get an eye makeup remover but I didn’t know what kind should I buy as I hate eye makeup remover for being oily.

Why I bought it?

It’s below RM25! How affordable! It also stated that it could completely remove water-proof mascara, water based, and with deep sea water. The packing was simple.

Mandom Cleansing Express Eye Makeup Remover wasn’t oily at all! Love it! It also removed my eye makeup effortlessly! Think of fake lashes, eyeliner, mascara, eye shadow, make up base, foundation, concealer and more all on the eye area.

I used to dread removing eyeliner and mascara but it’s so easy to remove with this without feeling oily or spend a lot of time. Even the eyeliner in my upper and lower lash line could be removed easily! It didn’t sting my eyes and didn’t blur my vision.

Usually I would spend at least 20 minutes or half hour just to remove all traces of eye makeup especially those special kind of makeup (stage or photo shoot).

This is by far the best eye makeup remover I ever use. Two thumbs up from me.

I’m not sure you can get it at Guardian or not. I bought mine at Watsons, tHe Spring. It’s located at the same row of shelves as Garnier products.

Biore UV Perfect Face Milk

Posted on February 28, 2010March 1, 2010 By sweet surrender 5 Comments on Biore UV Perfect Face Milk

I’ve been using Pure & Mild UV Protector ever since it’s available in the market. In other words, it’s been more than 5 years! I decided to get something else when it’s almost finished. It took me quite a while to decide until I saw Biore UV Perfect Face Milk on the shelf, one last bottle, at Watsons 2 months back as Ann did tell me that it’s quite effective in keeping the face matte.

Since it’s only RM20+, I don’t remember the exact price but it’s below RM30, I quickly bought it.

The sticker there stated “to prevent skin from becoming oily and sticky as it leaves light powdery feel to your skin”.

True to what it claimed. I have problem with oily skin especially on my t-zone, no product could solve this problem. Luckily Biore UV Perfect Face Milk came to the rescue. Usually my skin will start getting oily and sticky after about 2 hours or even less if the weather is hot after my facial wash. With this, I didn’t feel and see that for at least 6 hours. There’s still oiliness at the end of the day but my face didn’t shine so much and didn’t feel sticky like I used to.

I thought the texture was creamy but it’s not. It’s quite watery and surprisingly when I applied it on my face, it felt as if I’m applying powder to my face. You have to shake well before use. It’s also a good make-up base. Not to forget it protects your face from harmful sun damage with its SPF50+ PA+++.

By the way, you can find this at the sun care section rather than face care section. However, I’ve never seen it before until that day. I did try to look for it whenever I remember but couldn’t find it. Count me lucky. I tried looking for it at Guardian and Watsons again few times after buying it and I couldn’t find it.

Oh… It’s made in Japan.

If you have oily face and trying to look for something to stay matte, you can consider Biore UV Perfect Face Milk. I give it two thumbs up!
