Blessed Church Chirstmas Night 2007

Posted on December 23, 2007December 25, 2007 By sweet surrender 7 Comments on Blessed Church Chirstmas Night 2007

On Friday night, we after we went to the opening of Lounge2 where we killed two birds with one stone(had our dinner there :P), we went straight to the Association of Churches hall to attend the Blessed Church Christmas Night 2007, invited by Rambo.

So many people! -.- We were late and had to sit at the corner. The spaces that were reserved for us were taken by other people. Oh well… Who ask we came late? However, later we managed to find some places in front.

Left: The MCs of the night. It’s conducted in English and Mandarin.
Right: The pastor and the church members on stage singing Christmas songs and gospel songs.

Left: Hip hop dance. Who says it’s bad? Things are not bad until human tarnishs it.
Right: Choir formed by the church’s adults. The line was so long! So many of them.

Left: The pastor conducting the choir.
Right: Testimonial shared by one of the church members about how God saved her son’s life from JE. They thought he would die but he didn’t. They thought that if he would live, he’ll be mentally and physically retarted but he didn’t. He’s now an active, young little boy, just like any other children. She shared in Mandarin and the pastor translated it to English.

Left: Sketch about how Jesus cure the blind, the cripple and the one with leprosy.
Right: Esther shared her experience about going to heaven and hell. She shared in Mandarin but sometimes shared in English, the pastor translated it for her. It was very long but interesting. I know some people started to get impatient and whine about it because their mind is somewhere else, only the body was there. Not everyone can go to heaven or hell unless you’re dead which means you can’t come back to tell the tale. Only the gifted ones like Esther went and came back when she’s 12 years old. It’s not a story made up by a 12 years old that never read the bible and attended a church service before. Everything she experienced were in the bible. She’s 21 years old now and is studying in New Zealand and one of the students that achieve the Golden Key.

After that, the pastor announced that whoever that want to accept God that night, they could go to the front to pray together.

Lastly, the lucky draw session. We didn’t win anything hahaha… The hampers were quite big πŸ˜› Anyway, that’s the end of it.

p/s: I didn’t put many photos up because it’s hard to take proper pictures with the “crazy” camera buttons.

Rock Party @ FE.VER 8.12.2007

Posted on December 10, 2007December 10, 2007 By sweet surrender 22 Comments on Rock Party @ FE.VER 8.12.2007

Went to Rock Party @ FE.VER last Saturday.

We reached there at about 7.30pm. Many were there already. My nose and my eyes itched when I stepped into the pub vacinity. Can’t stand those smoke. EWW… There were many newspapers cuttings at the entrance.

You could also buy their CDs on the spot. We just passed them the tickets and got our hand stamped(still can’t wash off until today hahaha…). It turned out that the rest of the bloggers were already there and we all sat at the front, closest to the stage, very close! The special place reserved for us hahaha… That way we can get better photos.

Also camwhored a bit with the girls(Anna, Angel, Gladys and I) hehehe… The place I was sitting was where the spotlight shone directly to my eyes -.- I couldn’t turn my head to see my friends without shielding the light with my hand. So most of the time, I’m just looking at the stage and my back behind my friends. See the light on Anna‘s head? That’s one of the lights. Rose and JF came later.

Let’s the party begin! The guy MC showed off his nipples with his semi-transparent shirt.

First group, Channel 1! Pazuzu was in the middle hahaha…

Close-up shoot of Pazuzu hahaha… The beers. No… I didn’t drink, so smelly, really can’t stand alcohol smell. I didn’t drink a single drip of water that night. Been sneezing on and off also.

Left: The oldest band, Spider Web. They are all our parents age! Hahaha… very energetic and rendered us with many rock oldies.
Right: DJ68 and the staff. Hehehe… Tim camwhored a lot with him because everyone said that they looked alike but they both still don’t understand how much similarity they have *LOL*

Left: Zhao(noise), indeed noisy but the lyrics does reflect our daily life, it’s so true but a bit too loud for me hahaha… My ears were quite painful and I had to resort to stuff my ear with tissue paper! Luckily I bought a pack of tissue with me hahaha… Sorry, didn’t mean to show disrepect, we were sitting so near to the speakers and sub-woofers! Hahaha…
Right: Band members from other bands came up the stage to join the fun by shaking their heads. No! They were not high on ecstasy, they were high from the music.

Left: Leslie, the lead singer of Zhao.
Middle: The two guys, Pazuzu and Allen with their DSLRs, hehehe… Allen’s DSLR was molested by me since Friday night. Oh dear… I got addicted to DSLR already… What should I do?!?!? Need to buy one but not now… Sigh… If only money is not an issue. ARG!
Right: Dance to the music!

Dyerbreed. All so “lau sik”(boy-next-door) look *LOL*

Left: The boys next door unleashed their flesh! πŸ˜› *LOL* The drumer didn’t want to take off his shirt even with the cheers and requests of the audience. “Tuo Diao, Tuo Diao!”(take off, take off)
Right: Visualise.

Left: Uglymen all the way from KEDAH! They came on their own expense to perform here just for us! They are one of the experts and won many awards.
Right: These uncles were so funny! The only band with uniform summore! Also bring their wireless bass and guitar along.

Left: They danced with their banner! *LOL* So funny!
Right: Charlene were asked to go up the stage and they gave her posters and t-shirt.

I went home after this part because somebody happened to pissed me real off that night. You know who you are. I’m not going to tell you who. The person who was involved know it himself. Also, I couldn’t stand it anymore, my contact lense dried up and made my eyes so irritated. So I missed the last two group performances, SLaP! and Dream Machine. Sorry guys.

Here are some shoots of the band members came to autograph the CDs that don’t know which blogger bought hahaha… See Anna and Cynthia so damn excited!

That’s all for the night.

Swinburne Anime Gathering

Posted on December 9, 2007December 9, 2007 By sweet surrender 9 Comments on Swinburne Anime Gathering

Went to Swinburne Anime Gathering on Friday night. Well… Nothing much to say. We felt so out of place because we are “OLD”. -.-‘ We are no longer students for ages and all those attended were students from Inti, LimKokWing and Swinburne. The theme was “Butler & Maid”. Only the organiser dressed this way, the dress code for the rest of us was semi-formal.

Our main aim was to just take photos and cover the event but was dragged into the ice breaking session which we were not even in the mood to play and also the game session at almost the end where I was chosen because I’m the only one with curly hair -.- Anyway, got two free movie tickets for any movie at Star Cineplex but I felt bad, I’m not a student to deserve that hahaha…

Just followed the instructions along the way to find the gathering place.

Finally after such an adventure and saw many anime character figurines.

Here are photos of figurines available at the gathering. They were all so nice and very good in quality.

Left: Wuching! I know you like this alot!! πŸ˜›
Right: Katana and some weapons. They were fake of course.

Hehehe… Don’t get nose bleed by them. Watch where you see! πŸ˜› Told you it’s very detailed and good quality.

Guess what? Advertlets was one of the sponsors! What a surprise!

Here are photos of our food.

Tokayaki, sushi, salad and huge drum stick -.-. Why so big pieces?!?!?! I LOVE tokayaki! Too bad it’s cold already. Man… We were so hungry, we only got to eat at 8pm+. If we knew that, we would have eaten something first.

Chicken wings and fried rice.

That’s all πŸ™‚ Thanks for the tickets! Hehehe…

Sarawak ICT Expo 2007

Posted on December 4, 2007December 4, 2007 By sweet surrender 15 Comments on Sarawak ICT Expo 2007

Went to Sarawak ICT Expo 2007 last Sunday, so many people!!! Just see the photos you will know -.-‘ Can’t see anything. I didn’t manage to buy anything also but a RM14 mouse *LOL* This, I asked Angel to help me buy on Saturday when she’s there with Allen and Pazuzu. We wanted to go but the crowd was indeed crazy!

So crowded! Like people always say “people mountain, people sea” *LOL* It’s so hard to move! Sardine packed!

At Hall B, they have a Speaker Hall where all the speakers were. So noisy! At this section you can also see cameras and also online games promotion. If I’m not mistaken there was also online game competition.

Hehehe… Someone is waiting for this. He asked me specifically to take this photo for him to see! *LOL* Here you go. You know who you are. You don’t see any showgirl in any ICT expo in Kuching or Sarawak unlike KL or Singapore because they don’t allow it. This is the one from Canon, one and only. I missed her twice and finally found her in Hall B at the Olympus booth where they asked her to pose for some shoots. I asked her to pose for my camera too! Well… Not so bad, obviously you cannot compare with those in big cities. Not really skimpily dressed as he said. Hahaha…

In fact, I quite like her makeup, looked very natural with healthy glow, simple and clean. You can’t see it clearly here as this photo was blurred! πŸ˜› I didn’t use flash and my hand shaked a bit.

Blogging since 2002. Anything before 2006 is no longer available. It is no longer on this server. Back then, I built my own blog and updated it using HTML. No database or anything. Only started blogging fully with a CMS in 2006. However, whatever was on the Internet will stay on the Internet. So... It should be still somewhere on the Internet. Then again... Why do you want to dig that far?
