All About Weddings – The Launch

Busy busy day today but when finally have time to sit down and settle down, I feel lazy ;p Going to share some photos with you for now.


Remember the video I posted? The launch started off with ballet performance.

After that, the four photographers from The Professional Gallery went up the stage and Patrick Low introduced them one by one. From left to right, Peter Tan, Patrick Low, Alvin Leong, and Charlie Lim.

Teaser of the fashion show… This is the beginning of the fashion show. Going to post up more tomorrow if I manage to complete the filtering and arrangement.

It’s been awhile there’s no big scale bridal fair in Kuching. I missed the previous one at Hills Shopping Mall. Good thing I didn’t miss All About Wedding at tHe Spring that started on Wednesday.


Went there on Friday night to visit the fair and also attend the launch, cocktail soiree, fashion show and charity auction on Friday night. Will blog about it soon. Thanks for inviting, you know who you are hahaha…


By the way, for my new readers, I’m not getting married *LOL* I used to frequent bridal fairs a lot since years back, I never missed any be it big or small but I missed some lately due to other commitments and also not big enough to attract me to go. There isn’t many too unlike last time. I just love visiting such fair. Nothing much.


Not only that, I was there to support my photographer friends ;p Hehehe… Alvin Leong and Edwin Lay. Also wanted to see and meet some other popular photographers from West Malaysia and Singapore such as Patrick Low, Jason Victor, Peter Tan and Charlie Lim.

The stage was nicely decorated. Really unexpected.

Was lucky that my class was canceled yesterday. It enabled me to take part in Thalgo Organic Skincare Beauty Seminar at Four Points, Sheraton, with some bloggers from Kuching.


I heard of Thalgo a lot but never got the chance to know what it’s all about. It’s actually a skin care system from France and they were launching their new range of organic skincare system yesterday.

If you care about the environment, this range of products are just what you need:

TERRE & MER by THALGO is an ECO-CITIZEN and ECO-DESIGNED range. THE FORMULAS are more than 99% natural, are certified Organic by ECOCERT and comply with the COSMEBIO (World-renowned with a presence in 40 countries worldwide) charter. The packaging items are made of recyclable plastic (PE, PP), glass and are authorised by ECOCERT.

The boxes and leaflets are printed with plant-based inks and are made of cardboard with the FSC (Forest Stewardship Council) label from sustainably managed forests and it does not contain excess filling material.

During the session, the representative of Thalgo, Nawael Merechal, gave us some insights of the Terre & Mer product range. After that, there was a facial demonstration.

Now… I roughly know what I’m going tru’ when I did my monthly facial *LOL* Interesting… At the same time, we were also given the tips and techniques on how to make the products absorb better if we are to use the products at home. Very insightful. I’m not sure about others but I really found it interesting since I do go for almost similar session every month except with different products and different salon(I know… I’m so pampered! Hahaha…).

Left: After that, there’s lucky draw session. We didn’t get anything from it hehehe… One was quite close to my number but too bad it’s still not my number.

Right: We were given with these in the goodies bag that consists of samples sachets of cream, fluid, concentrate and etc., one bottle of cleanser and one bottle of toner(these two are extras that were given later for review). Thank you very much for letting us try the products.

Be Bold & Go Bald

Is Irene going bald this year for Go Bald 2010?

Ummm… Sorry to disappoint you… I’m not. Me not bold enough to go bald. If you are then good for you! Let me know if you are, I can help you get fund via my blog. No guarantee will raise any money but no harm trying 🙂 So… What is this all about?


Attended Go Bald press conference yesterday at tHe Spring. Sarawak Children’s Cancer Society is back with its second “Go Bald” event that will be held on May 16, 2010 at North Court, tHe Spring.


This is the second year they are doing it and hoping to get more people to join in this campaign to create awareness of childhood cancer and offer moral support. Also to raise RM1 million for the construction of a new SCCS centre to provide an unprecedented level of care and support.


SCCS deputy chairman of fundraising Wong Kok Ping (seated left) and SCCS president Gary Ho (seated right) were shaven bald at the press conference at tHe Spring yesterday. They were the first two to kick start the event.

Last year Kenny and Gette raised fund thru’ their blogs and went bald. Good for them.

You don’t have to buy tickets for food fair, all you need to do is offer to go bald for the cause. Just offer your hair if you can’t contribute any money, of course if you can contribute some money it would be great.

Another way is that you might want to set a target amount of money that you want to donate and tell your friends and family about it. Let them donate and if you reach the amount, you go get your head shaved on 16th May. Even if you don’t get the targeted amount, you can also still get your head shaved. It’s up to you on how you want to be a part of this campaign. Just be creative, your hair will grow back eventually.

That said… I should set an example myself, it would be more exciting right? Eeekk… Sorry… Not me. I’ll just help in creating awareness and let you bold people out there take part in it ;p
