Watsons Membership Card

Posted on November 14, 2010November 14, 2010 By sweet surrender 13 Comments on Watsons Membership Card

I’m sure many of you knew about Watsons Membership Card. I found out about it from Facebook. The membership fee is only RM12, no renewal required. I joined its contest and I won!! I’ve been waiting for it to be sent to me so that I can restock some stuffs.

Finally I got my card. I thought there’s only a card in the mail but there’s a stack of gift vouchers! I didn’t count how many but I can assure you there’s more than 30 vouchers in there! The most exciting thing is that the gift vouchers can be used even when there’s in-store promotions going on except promotions for members.

You get to buy some products for cheaper price and collect points. RM1=1 point, sometimes you can get extra points too.

If you always buy Watsons brand products, then you will get 2x points and get 5 points on your birthday month! Every 200 points = RM1. It’s easy to gain 200 points, just activate your card online and 200 points are yours!

Got yours? Get yours now at any Watsons in Malaysia. Thanks for the card Watsons.

Kitchen & Dining

Posted on October 15, 2010 By sweet surrender No Comments on Kitchen & Dining

Those who love to cook are surely people that are very particular about kitchen and dining. I’m not a person that is really into cooking but I do have a thing about kitchen appliances.

I get excited when I see toasters, ovens, blenders, bread maker, and so much more. Even the pots and pans even though I know that I’m likely won’t be using them much. I have no idea why.

Do you have an answer for that?

A Look Back at Celebrity Award Bling

Posted on July 16, 2010 By sweet surrender No Comments on A Look Back at Celebrity Award Bling

Every year millions of people tune in to watch the Emmy awards, Golden Globes and Academy Awards. Naturally, everyone wants to find out who will win which awards, but even more, people want to know what celebrities are wearing. This is wear styles and trends are set for the coming months. This is particularly true when it comes to jewelry. If you have any doubt, scan the pages of fashion magazines in the days following a big event and see all of the close-up snapshots that are taken of the luxury jewelry pieces that top stars around the world donned for such big events.

If you are curious about the jewelry trends that will take off in the coming months, all you need to do is take a rewind to the last awards shows to find out what some of the biggest names in Hollywood wore.

It would certainly seem as though diamond drop earrings are still in style and will stay that way for some time. America Ferrara wore a pair of stunning 2.5 carat diamond pendant earrings and she was not the only one either. Other stars who donned diamond drop earrings included Audra McDonald and Anastasia Griffith. Candace Bergen might have been off the screen for awhile but she also made an appearance wearing a similar pair of diamond earrings set in platinum as well.

Colored diamond earrings were also out in full swing as well. Chandra Wilson donned a pair of fancy cut diamond drop earrings in yellow. Emilie de Raven was caught wearing a pair of diamond earrings that were also set with cognac diamonds as well. Both pairs of earrings would certainly seem to indicate the colored diamonds, particularly in the hues of browns and yellows, are going to remain popular for some time.

The sizes of the earrings also tended to vary on the red carpets this year as well. A number of stars wore drop diamond earrings, although there were some who went with diamond hoops as well. Jean Smart wore a pair of diamond chandelier earrings while Kyra Sedgwick wore a pair of pyramid diamond earrings set in platinum. Lauren Conrad went with something a bit different and wore a pair of diamond stud earrings.

Bracelets were also out in force on the red carpet this year. One of the hottest trends that have been seen in the last few months and are expected to last throughout the early part of next year is chunky or cuff bracelets. Several celebrities were seen wearing just this style of bracelet on the red carpet this year, many of which were set with diamonds and other gemstones. Ashley Jensen was just one celebrity who chose to wear a cuff bracelet. The particular bracelet that she wore was set with sixty carats worth of diamonds. Rumor has it that the bracelet was valued at nearly half a million dollars. Of course, that was nothing compared to the diamond cuff bracelet that Katrina Bowden wore. Her bracelet had more than 65 carats worth of diamonds and had a reported worth of $545,000.

Jennifer Morrison also wore a cuff bracelet with a decidedly different twist. Her snake cuff bracelet was set with blackened platinum and brown diamonds.

Yellow diamonds were also seen in bracelets as well. Chandra Wilson selected a set of yellow diamond bracelets that had a total combined weight of 40 carats. No word on exactly how heavy a pair of 40 carat diamond bracelets might happen to be.

America Ferrara chose a cluster bracelet set with rose cut diamonds. Stacked bracelets made an appearance at awards this year as well. Julia Louis-Dreyfus was seen wearing stacked diamond bracelets that featured diamonds in white and yellow as well as rose colored gold. Marcia Cross also wore stacked diamond bracelets at awards this year as well.

Statement necklaces were also on hand this year. America Ferrera made news when she wore a 19th century diamond necklace with a flower pendant. Diamonds by the yard necklaces were sported by both Candice Bergen as well as Heidi Klum. Collar necklaces also appeared to be quite popular as well. Nicollette Sheridan was seen wearing just this style of necklace.

Finally, no celebrity would be caught out and about today without one of the most fashionable trends in diamond jewelry today; which is the right hand diamond ring. Several celebrities were seen sporting these rings, many of which featured colored diamonds in hues of yellow, brown and pink. Cheryl Hines and Elisabeth Moss were just two celebrities who were seen wearing diamond right hand rings.

From earrings to bracelets to necklaces and rings, it certainly seems as though a variety of new trends have been set and a few more will continue to live on.

Emirates Business Class

Posted on June 28, 2010June 28, 2010 By sweet surrender 5 Comments on Emirates Business Class

What’s the odd of being upgraded to business class when going on a long haul flight? It’s not always we can get such luxury, at least for people like you and me. My sister’s friend was so lucky that she got upgraded automatically from economy class to first class when she flew Emirates from Newcastle to KL. Cool!

Then, my sister was also lucky enough to be upgraded to business class when she boarded the Emirates’ Newcastle to KL flight. Interesting. She’s been using Emirates for years to come back. This is the first time she got upgraded. When it was time to board, her name was called and she was asked to board the plane from another gate. She was excited of course! The agony of economy class of long haul flight, you can imagine that, no need to experience that during her trip back this time.

Sharing some photos here with you on what you get in Emirates business class.

More leg room of course!

Different kind of food for sure. There were quite a number of choices but she went for these.

The highlight is the amenity kit. You can only get this when you’re on business or first class.

See! Bvlgari!

Quoted from http://www.easier.com/46313-emirates-launches-new-amenity-kits.html:

As part of its agreement with Bvlgari, Emirates has exclusive use of Thé Rouge (Red Tea) products. The men’s First and Business Class amenity kit contain Thé Rouge after shave emulsion, eau parfumée and body lotion. Those for ladies contain Bvlgari nourishing face emulsion, nourishing hand cream and eau parfumée Thé Rouge.

The bags themselves complete the luxury look and feel. The men’s First Class bag is made of Italian leather while the Business Class bag is made of canvas with smart leather-look trim. Ladies in First Class have a brown suede-style and in Business Class a light beige fabric bag. Inside pockets hold the products while a waterproof base protects three of the styles.

Wonder when will I have the chance. Hmm…

Not Being Talk About

Posted on June 22, 2010June 23, 2010 By sweet surrender No Comments on Not Being Talk About

Found the phrase on the tag of the vest my sis bought for me.

“The only thing worse than being talked about… is not being talk about”

It’s so true!

So if you don’t like the person, don’t talk about him or her to anyone 😉 He or she doesn’t deserve to be given such attention.

Interesting, Randomness

Blogging since 2002. Anything before 2006 is no longer available. It is no longer on this server. Back then, I built my own blog and updated it using HTML. No database or anything. Only started blogging fully with a CMS in 2006. However, whatever was on the Internet will stay on the Internet. So... It should be still somewhere on the Internet. Then again... Why do you want to dig that far?
