My First Nail Project

Posted on June 1, 2007June 1, 2007 By sweet surrender 12 Comments on My First Nail Project

It’s Gawai now. Happy Gawai!

OMG!! Another “volcano” building up and it will burst again anytime today πŸ™ Sigh… I accidentally ate o-jien(a type of seafood dish. A type of clam(hmm… oyster? or mussels? I don’t know) that is cooked with egg, flour and some other ingredients that I don’t know, some what like omelet) the other day. As for tomorrow BBQ, don’t know can I made it or not with my eye like this πŸ™ If it burst today, then I’ll be going tomorrow but many food I can’t eat. Boooo…

Did a bit of decorations on my nail this afternoon. The effect is not what I want, too cramped. The yellow flowers were supposed to be for my twinky fingers but it couldn’t seem to stick well because the surface of my fingernails are too curvy. Don’t want waste it, I added it to my toes.

There are 3 bottles of nail polish there but I only used two. The purple one was supposed to be used for making dots but not successful.

I don’t want to do them on my fingernails as it will be difficult to eat with my fingers. I like to lick my fingers after I’m done eating with them. Hahaha…

Step 1:
Give the base a colour. If you don’t want, you can paint the base using the transparent nail polish to prepare the nail for the 3D nail stickers.

Step 2:
Carefully prick the nail stickers, using a tweezer will be a good choice, I used my fingernails and it’s a bit hard to position them on my toes.

Step 3:
When you are done with the whole arrangement thing, then give a coat or two of transparent nail polish to your toes so that the stickers will last longer.

Not So Aunty Anymore

Posted on May 6, 2007May 6, 2007 By sweet surrender 23 Comments on Not So Aunty Anymore

Hahaha… At least in these 3 pictures I don’t looked so aunty anymore compare to the previous pictures πŸ˜› However in real life I still feel a bit aunty hahaha…

The first 2 photos are without any hairstyling products, it’s taken one day after the second hair wash. I don’t use any because my gel finished hahaha… Besides that, I don’t really like hairstyling products. Also I tried to see how it looked like without using any. I prefer using nothing or baby oil or leave-in conditioner. Why?

1. The hair is softer and easier to maintain. I can simple run my hand over to “comb” it without having much tangles. If with products on, it tangled more.

2. Less hair on the floor because human sheds hair everyday, it will not easily fall off with styling products. It would stuck in between the curls and when you wash your hair or try to detangle them before washing, OMG! There would be so many hair! *YUCK* By the way, I feel very eeky when there are wet hair on my hand or my body. I will usually remove it from my hand or body a.s.a.p. So, don’t ask me clean the bathroom or toilet. I can puke on the spot if you ask me to pick those hair up, even my own. I guess next time my husband have to in charge of washing the bathroom and toilet hahaha, if not then have to hire people just to clean the bathroom and toilet πŸ˜‰

The 3rd photo with gel one day after the first hair wash.

My conclusion? Hehehe… I still prefer my old hair because I indeed looked younger with it hahaha and hassle free(90% no tangle), no need any styling products. Also I saw some candid shots that my friend took previously, it’s much nicer than the current one. What to do? Don’t care lar~ It will sooner or later loosen up, just need time. Be an aunty for the time being lo~ πŸ˜›

Totally Aunty!

Posted on April 29, 2007April 29, 2007 By sweet surrender 23 Comments on Totally Aunty!

Let you see these first… I’m starting to miss my natural curls already, it’s only less than 6 hours! People envy my curls because I don’t need to spend any money to have such curls.

Then… I made a decision to get a spa perm, RM158, inclusive of cut and treatment at Melvin Hair Works at RH Plaza yesterday. The service was great, they were very attentative. I only had my hair trimmed a bit as in about 1 inch because Melvin said that my hair is short. I think it’s very long already hahaha… However, due to this perm, it will make my hair much shorter.

It was quite funny, I almost got my head burnt πŸ˜› The girl working there set up the spa perm machine for me and before she entertained another customer, she told me to alert her if my head got too hot. I was like, “WAH, How Can?!??!” Scary… Then really, suddenly I felt that one part of my head was really hot, I quickly raised my hand as I couldn’t turn my head and told them, apparently she missed a padding at that area. The padding was meant to block the heat. Phew… Luckily.

You know… His salon even have a filing system like a doctor’s office hahaha… Every customer will need to fill in a form with our names and phone numbers, then he would record down the service(s) we had done at his salon. According to him, this will ensure that we get appropriate service/products when we visit the salon again. He tried to sell me some products for my newly permed hair and I declined πŸ˜› Hehehe… No money lar wei… Expensive. If not because of this RM158 offer, I won’t be getting this perm lar hahaha… Last year I got my hair coloured and highlighted also because of the offer by The Edge Salon(it’s no longer in operation anymore, service was slow like snail but I like the result), RM150(or 155, can’t remember :P) inclusive of cut and treatment.

Here’s the end result of my hair. I… Hmm… Don’t know to be sad or happy? I felt like I’m making the wrong decision!! At first I didn’t know this kind of technique produced this kind of curls. I only came to my senses when the curling process almost started. However, I still went for it even though I knew it won’t be something like wavy big losse curls. Never try never know mar… No harm try something different. So kintio(nervous)…

After 3 hours of everything… I looked like an Aunty (-.-“). What do you think? Don’t worry, just give me your honest opinions because I think it really makes me look old. Aiyoyoyo… These were taken when I reached home, not sure how will it be after my hair wash. Hmmm… Will update about it by then. The first photo was taken during the perming process and second one was during the treatment.

Such A Bargain!

Posted on April 28, 2007April 30, 2007 By sweet surrender 9 Comments on Such A Bargain!

OK… This is not a sponsored post. The owner didn’t pay me to blog about it. It just happened that I went to Crown Square the other day, while I stood in front of the shop to see some nail arts on display. The girl working there approached me and gave me this:

The packages are indeed yummy…*SLURP* Get 6 sessions of manicure+pedicure, 5 sessions of eyebrow shapping and 1 session of Paraffin Wax for hand for only RM250!! I think this is very affordable. WOW! That’s why I want to share it with you. However, I’m not a mani or pedi kind of person so I’m not sure is this a steal or not or is it good or not. Anyone been there before? Is it good?

By the way, the girl told me that it is better to make an appointment if you are planning to get your manicure or/and pedicure done. Also, they do not do nail art on fake nails. They only do nail art on your own nails or on acrylic nails. Too bad… I’m planning to get a set of fake French nails for myself. Seems like I have to find other place for it. I had bought my own fake nail set, it’s coming soon and I need people to shape it and paint it for me. Hehehe…

This girl is starting to spend money to groom herself πŸ˜› Don’t know is good or bad? (-.-“)

Retail Therapy

WOW! Retail therapy really works! Gosh… Must not get addicted to it (-.-“). No way… No way… Cannot do that. Must control. If not I’ll go bankrupt.

Manage to buy some tops and a pair of sandals for CNY. However, bottom is a bit pain in the ass. πŸ˜› Couldn’t find much that I like. All my clothings are less than RM30 hehehe… Amazing! This year I bought more but didn’t spend much. However, bought a pair of expensive sandals. I usually don’t buy RM45 and above sandals but I bought one today that cost me RM58.90 (-.-“) Ah… Don’t care! As long that I like it. I’ve been looking for new sandals for ages and looking at almost every reknown shoes shops in Kuching already, can’t stand the hunting anymore.

CNY coming soon… Have a bit of CNY mood now. Will start baking cookies this week and next week.
