Fancy having food porn? This is the place for you to drool…

Station One

Posted on December 27, 2007December 27, 2007 By sweet surrender 4 Comments on Station One

Long time no food post! Hehehe… Here’s another new place, consider new hehehe… Because it’s only opened this year *LOL* Located at 3rd Exchange. Same row as Banana Split, in fact next door only.

Left: I tell you… 5 of us we went there after we went to Boulevard last Saturday and you can imagine… I think the owner already sensed that we are bloggers as we started to snap away before going in. *LOL*

Right: Our drinks.
Cincao With Milk(RM2), I was told later that it’s wrong drink as in they added syrup instead of atap sugar. The owner quickly apologized and took it away to replace it for me. Talking about efficiency. Maybe she knew that we are bloggers and if there’s something wrong, the shop’s reputation will be at stake. 4 bloggers(1 is not a blogger hehehe…) there with their cameras ever ready, how dare you do something wrong right? Hahaha…
Kiwi (RM2) and White Lady(RM2.50). According to Anna, the White Lady was quite sweet.

Left: The correct Cincao With Milk. Hehehe… The owner even asked me whether it’s too sweet or not. I don’t like very sweet stuff, means this is just right for me.
Right: Satay Noodle(RM4.50), one fo their specialty.

Left: Lemon Chicken With Rice(RM4.50). I heard that it’s a bit spicy. Hmm…
Right: Creamy Mushroom Toast(RM3.80).

Left: I ordered Dry Black Sauce Beef Noodle(RM4.50), not so bad… The taste isn’t that empowering, just nice for my taste bud as I’m not really fond of food with too strong flavour.
Right: “Ngo Hiam”(RM4.50), they called it Chicken Roll. Hmm… Not so bad, reminds me of the one my parents usually buy at erm… I can’t remember where πŸ˜› Hehehe… The owner said that it’s restaurant standard, not sure about that though πŸ˜›

Oh dear… I just realised I didn’t have another dish, sweet and sour fish with rice(RM4.50) that was ordered by Angel. I did take the photo but it’s missing… I might have accidentally deleted it.

Prices are quite reasonable and have wide varieties.

The Opening Of Lounge2

Posted on December 22, 2007December 23, 2007 By sweet surrender 8 Comments on The Opening Of Lounge2

Thanks to Deejay for letting us know that Lounge2 is opening yesterday. It’s from 5pm-8pm. It was only for invited guests. In fact, we were supposed to tell them that he’s the one that asked us go but Jimmy knows the boss, Jack πŸ˜› It’s the same owner as Terminal One or the previous Mermaid and Dolphin.

By the way, I have to stress that I’m not the kind that hang out at pub, bar or club. I hate these places to bits. I went to this opening for the sake of my blog as not many bloggers were going, you can count with less than 5 fingers πŸ˜› hahaha… Besides, it’s still new so the air is fresher though people smoked, they have suction fans installed but still too small and too few. Sigh… At least at the end of the night, I didn’t smell much like a walking cigarette but still a bit of smell.

You can’t see it clearly from the roadside, it will be very obvious when night falls. Everything you see in there are marked with “Lounge2”. -.- So kiasu!

Left: The section where we sat. At the Christmas tree.
Right: I like the cabinet. Simple and nice.

Left: The bar section.
Right: Wine, wine, wine.

Another section with the water curtain. Water as in real water!

The bar again.

Even the toilet is also marked with Lounge2 on the mirror(middle picture). See the hands? My hand and Gladiezz. Hehehe… It shares a sink hehehe… Don’t worry, you can’t the the person next door when you do your business.

Sorry… Can’t help to show you the food. The catering was done by Secret Garden. OH MY! I was damn hungry -.-

Mussels! My first time eating fresh one. Surprise, surprise πŸ˜› The food was nice, not bad except the spaghetti.

We were offered beer or Coke, we had Coke of course as we need to go to Blessed Church Chirstmas Night After that. I won’t choose beer also even if I’m not going to the Christmas Night as I don’t drink.

Last but not least, group photos! πŸ˜›

Left: Gladiezz, me, Jimmy.
Right: Me, Jack(the owner) , Gladiezz.

Where’s the place?
It’s at Height Drive, Stutong. The new shops area. Here’s the address:
Lot 441 & 443, Heights Drive Commercial Centre, Jalan Stutong, 93350 Kuching, Sarawak
If you need more details on the location or any inquiry, do call Roderic @ 016-877 8667

By the way, they didn’t pay us to write this. How good if they do pay us. πŸ˜›

Food Porn, Uniquely Kuching

Food Avenue

Posted on December 18, 2007December 17, 2007 By sweet surrender 5 Comments on Food Avenue

This is one of the latest eatery in Kuching. It was launched on 2nd December 2007. My parents went there that day and didn’t have very good impression on it because their food were taken away before they could finish it! It just happened that my parents and my bro wanted to switch their food among each other to taste but before they were in time to taste it(only looked away for a while), the food were taken away by the waitress! -.-” Lesson of the story, be sure to keep your food close to you, don’t put it too far from you especially when your food is almost finish and pay attention to your food hahaha… Your drinks too.

My mom lazy to cook lunch last Sunday. My dad suggested to go there as I’ve never been there. Many people still wondering where this is located. Actually it’s just behind Igloo at 4th Mile or just next to Everrise at 4th Mile. There’s a projector there, it’s good when there’s football match, the place will surely be packed!

There are about 20 stalls. You can get Singapore Mee Siam there, Penang yam rice there and various local delicacies but many were closed when we were there about 2pm for lunch, some not open until next year. Pinoy Ihaw-Ihaw(The Philippino restaurant at Padungan) is opening a stall there too.

Left: HEY! WiFi available! Don’t know how true is that hahaha… I don’t have anything with me to test πŸ˜›
Right: The drinks are blardy expensive! These two glasses, iced soya bean and lime juice already cost RM3.10.

Pork rice sets. Two types here(BBQ and crispy). The rice was dry and cold -.- The pork(3 layer meat) was ok when it’s hot. RM4.50 per plate. Portion very small. Not worth.

Left: Sister Crispy Popiah(RM5) is there also.
Right: Ah Suan Chicken Rice also there. Here’s its pork rice. The curry was so watery and sweet -.-

I don’t really like this place. I thought it was a very big place… DUH~ So small… Summore they have this retracting roof or something, what for?!?!? Night time open it up to eat bird shit? I don’t see the need of it -.- Too much money to spend I guess.

Banana Split Ice Cream & Western Cafe

Posted on December 12, 2007December 19, 2007 By sweet surrender 3 Comments on Banana Split Ice Cream & Western Cafe

For those of you that had tagged me, I decided to delay the tags until next year when I go for my KL & Genting trip. I will have them auto publish everyday until I’m back. Hehehe… Thanks for the fillers for my 6 days trip hahahah… At least my blog won’t die for 6 days. If I have the time to update about my trip I will update about it also because I will have Internet access for the 6 days.

WOW! I should update this last week! Only manage to update it now. I’m sure you are here to see what are the places that I went for food but instead I’ve been bombarding you guys with all those events that I had attended these few weeks. Let’s have a change of topic for a while hehehe…

Banana Split Ice Cream & Western Cafe is situated at 3rd Exchange. I knew about it from the newspapers and always wanted to go but it’s out of the way. Finally managed to go after meeting a client one week ago.

The things there are really affordable. The most expensive food on the menu is the rib eye steak that is only RM20!!! WOW!

Left: Sundae-Chocolate Topping(RM3), not bad.
Right: Banana Split (RM5.80)
We were given a glass of cold water also. This is the plus point! I love places that serve their customer with a glass of plain water regardless of what they order.

Oh ya… The photos were taken with my K800i because I didn’t bring my camera out that day. That’s why the colour is quite dull.

I will go back for their western food one day! πŸ˜› Hehehe… I’ve been craving for nice steaks these days… *drool*

By the way, thought that many new eateries opened already but not yet.

Meet Alex Wong – Part 1

Posted on December 11, 2007December 11, 2007 By sweet surrender 5 Comments on Meet Alex Wong – Part 1

I don’t understand why should I rush the job for you when you can’t even rush the payments for me? I’m not going to do free jobs, there’s a limit to everything. Sucks… I’m down with allergy now… *SNEEZE SNEEZE*

WAH! Tonnes of photos to show you! Let me get part 1 of meeting Alex Wong cum bloggers’ meet out first. There will be maybe 3 parts or more coming. I’ll show you photos from my camera first, there will be another batch of photos from “my” DSLR *LOL* I kidnapped Allen‘s DSLR, it’s really scary having someone DSLR under your care -.- hahaha… Thanks Allen for trusting me with your baby. There was a small “mishap” happened also and thanks to whoever that is that saved the flash kit. -.-‘ It slipped off Allen’s hand when he wanted to install it to his camera and someone happened to walk pass and prevented it from falling to the floor. *phew*

Hehehe… Can’t help it, really had a great time and camwhored a lot too!

We arrived before 2pm and many are already there. Wanted to help Ehon because he helped us with Catscity Clique but it seemed like he already had many helpers around so we just took the opportunity to camwhore a bit and ordered our drinks and helped ourselves with finger food provided by Tao.

Tao was closed from 2pm-5pm just for out bloggers’ meet. Thanks to Irene(not me :P) of Tao for sponsoring this event.

The counter where you order your drink. We could order anything from espresso, ice blended, favourites and teapot section. Everyone was given a card to exchange for a drink and a flyer that can be used to ask Alex to autograph later, and sticker to identify ourselves as bloggers or press and another bigger sticker for our collection.

Left: Some gifts for game session later.
Right: Decor of Tao.

The area at the back of Tao where we hung out while waiting for the event to start. We were not supposed to sit there, this place was only for walk-in customer, we were supposed to be confined to the front hahaha… Oh well… πŸ˜› I ordered ice blended mint chocolate. I should have order something light and refreshing to last through the whole hot afternoon but when I see chocolate I lose my judgement already hahaha…

Left: Kueh serimuka some people known it as kueh salat. This one was different, it’s not using the white coloured glutinous rice but using the black(purplish) one.
Right: Hmm… Yam kueh with glutinous rice based? I can’t remember.

Left: Fried popiah with special chili sauce. Not bad.
Right: I heard it’s beef burger. Hmm.. Not so sure, I didn’t eat this.

Left: Sandwich that I didn’t eat also.
Right: “To Irene”, πŸ˜› not for me hahaha… It’s for Irene, Tao’s owner. It’s the latest album of STM(SingleTrackMind)

While waiting, we(Ah Bao, Jimmy, Angel, Gladys and I) camwhored with the Uglymen that flew all the way from Kedah to perform at FE.VER on Saturday night. They came to meet Alex also! WOW! How lucky are you guys to be able to kill 2 birds with one stone, such great timing hehehe… They are not ugly at all hahaha… but They do know how to make fun of themselves and very sporting.

Hmm… The photo was blurred, I don’t know how Allen took this photo hahaha… I think he used the wrong flash πŸ˜›

Left: Ehon, how come you become so tall!!?!??! Hahaha…
Right: Took my own photo while waiting sitting at the area reserved for the press but I didn’t see any press hahaha… We are the press! πŸ˜›

Hahaha… No Alex photos yet… You have to wait for part 2 πŸ˜›

Blogging since 2002. Anything before 2006 is no longer available. It is no longer on this server. Back then, I built my own blog and updated it using HTML. No database or anything. Only started blogging fully with a CMS in 2006. However, whatever was on the Internet will stay on the Internet. So... It should be still somewhere on the Internet. Then again... Why do you want to dig that far?
