The Daily Moo

Posted on January 4, 2008January 5, 2008 By sweet surrender 2 Comments on The Daily Moo

You know how some people are full of bull shits? Also you can never believe what this person says. All the so-called “no more”, “never again”, “it’s over”, “once and for all” etc. are all bull shits. Whoever that had fallen to it is just plain stupid!
I don’t understand how some people can be such a busybody. Anything happens, it will surely have something to do with you. I don’t you you are smart or stupid? *SHAKE HEAD*

Went to Daily Moo with Lee on 29th December 2007 while people are busy having steamboat. Someone asked me whether want to join or not but I didn’t want to because I already made appointment with Lee summore better don’t go spoil people fun. You say right or not? Hahaha…

Decided to go to Daily Moo. Where it’s located?
Just right opposite Secret Recipe at Jalan Song Thian Cheok.

The sweets you are seeing here is available there. They have this cow thing everywhere πŸ˜› *LOL* They have convenience store, internet cafe, cafe in that one small space.

I was told that I couldn’t take photos in there -.- They said it’s their policy. Also added that I cannot take picture of the individual things. *SWEAT* I think they referred to the groceries hahaha… I told them I won’t, I only ake the overall photo of the place. I’m not sure they refer to the food and drinks or not hmm… They just opened two months back.

I didn’t expect the things there are so expensive -.-‘ I mean the food and the drinks. Got a bit of shock. Hahaha…

Left: I ordered chocolate smoothie, I can’t remember the exact name. I took the photo of the menu but it’s blur. Aikss… If you have nuts allergy, then you cannot order this. It’s really thick, topped with a scoop of chocolate ice cream and laced with chocolate syrup but not so sweet. I love the nuts in there, they blend it together with the chocolate. Yummy~ Recommended but it’s RM11. Expensive but worth it. However, if you want to indulge once in a while, this can be a very good choice. Their other smoothies are quite interesting also, I don’t think you can get it anywhere but here.

Right: Affogato(RM6, if I didn’t get the price wrong:P) Very small cup, small as in really small -.- Very thick coffee with vanilla ice cream and sprinkled with cocao powder I think. Well since it’s a type of espresso, that’s why. According to Lee, it’s thick and it’s good!
I got this from wiki:
“An affogato (Italian, “drowned”) is a coffee-based beverage or dessert. “Affogato style”, which refers to the act of topping a drink or dessert with espresso, may also incorporate caramel sauce or chocolate sauce.
A “cafe affogato” is sometimes referred to as a “cold shower”.
An “affogato di gelato” is usually vanilla bean gelato topped with espresso. Alternately, a bitter chocolate gelato (cioccolato) is an ideal match to espresso.”

So? Now you know and I know too hahaha…

Last but not least, they also sell wines and do hamper wrapping and delivery.

Breakfast At Madam Tang’s

Posted on December 31, 2007November 23, 2008 By sweet surrender 10 Comments on Breakfast At Madam Tang’s

Got a shocked last Saturday(29.12.07), got Josh’s SMS saying that he’s coming to Kuching on Sunday morning! WOW! I had to go to Serian on Sunday so I could only meet him for breakfast. We were busy on Sunday that we couldn’t pick him up from the airport but good thing Naomi could make it.

After discussing with Rose, we decided to go to Choon Chong Cafe at Abell Road. So I mass SMSed to all the bloggers that I could find in my phone, sorry if I missed you out, I randomly picked some names and asked them to spread the words since we practically know each other, summore it’s quite last minute as I only sent the SMS out in the evening. Guess what he’s here for?!?!? He said that he wanted to challenge Tim’s and his gang in bowling because he lost the other time when he’s here for Catscity Clique *LOL* Or there might be some other matter that he needed to tend to that we don’t know.

Anyway, on Sunday morning, Rose, JF and Tim found out that Choon Chong Cafe was not opened. We changed to Madam Tang’s since the nearest laksa place is there. One of the best laksa can be found there too. I reached at almost 10am, the same time as Josh, Naomi and her brother, they came straight from airport. I was supposed to be there with Rose at 9.30am but Jimmy last minute told me he that wanted to join us. He was supposed to go “dating” at Serikin but plan changed.

Left: They designed new menu! It’s been quite a while not going there. You know, if you come to Kuching, the locals will surely bring you to eat laksa or kolomee for your first meal here. Hehehe… Don’t ask me why hahaha… I don’t know also, it’s like a tradition πŸ˜›
Right: Gui Lin Gao with honey(RM1.50), herbal jelly, quite bitter but you can have it served with honey.

Left: Sarawak Laksa-regular(RM4.50)
Right: Beef noodle(RM4.80), since Josh had tried Sarawak Laksa before, so we asked him to try the beef noodle as I heard that the beef noodle is one of Madam Tang’s specialties. Sorry for the picture hahaha… I forgot to move the chopsticks and spoon aside πŸ˜› Talking about morning… I’m was still blurred πŸ˜›

Hmm… As blur as I could be, even my photo of the menu turned out so blur that I can’t see the prices and the food names -.- I hope I got the prices and names correct in this post *LOL*

After breakfast, it’s 11am, it’s time for me to leave as I need to go to Serian, we had our group photo taken.

Our group photo. Hmm… Do I need to introduce them? I’m quite lazy and tired hahaha… Since I had blogged about them before, they are all familair faces to you already πŸ˜› Hehehe… Gladiezz and Angel left early. Eve? She left early too.

Happy New Year!

Junction Cafe

Please vote for Sarawakian.net! Thank you!

Went for a “date” with someone on Christmas’ eve at Junction Cafe.

It had undergone some renovations, it’s not the same like last time. It’s more colourful now and air-conditioned.

The menu is different hmm… Not much drinks to choose from. Sigh… Is it temporary? As the menu is different from the previous one. Summore it’s laminated with the menu for Christmas’ eve and New Year’s eve promotion. No idea. *SHRUG*

Anyway, the Mexican Chocolate is RM5.50 and my hot chocolate is RM2.50. Hmm… I think the prices of the drinks still maintain. It’s been quite a while not coming here so I’m can’t quite remember also.

OK… You must be wondering why on earth I went out for a “date” instead of joining all the other people partying?!?! Nothing much, just wasn’t in the mood, summore I know I’m a fun spoiler, that’s why I didn’t want to go to spoil people’s fun.

Station One

Posted on December 27, 2007December 27, 2007 By sweet surrender 4 Comments on Station One

Long time no food post! Hehehe… Here’s another new place, consider new hehehe… Because it’s only opened this year *LOL* Located at 3rd Exchange. Same row as Banana Split, in fact next door only.

Left: I tell you… 5 of us we went there after we went to Boulevard last Saturday and you can imagine… I think the owner already sensed that we are bloggers as we started to snap away before going in. *LOL*

Right: Our drinks.
Cincao With Milk(RM2), I was told later that it’s wrong drink as in they added syrup instead of atap sugar. The owner quickly apologized and took it away to replace it for me. Talking about efficiency. Maybe she knew that we are bloggers and if there’s something wrong, the shop’s reputation will be at stake. 4 bloggers(1 is not a blogger hehehe…) there with their cameras ever ready, how dare you do something wrong right? Hahaha…
Kiwi (RM2) and White Lady(RM2.50). According to Anna, the White Lady was quite sweet.

Left: The correct Cincao With Milk. Hehehe… The owner even asked me whether it’s too sweet or not. I don’t like very sweet stuff, means this is just right for me.
Right: Satay Noodle(RM4.50), one fo their specialty.

Left: Lemon Chicken With Rice(RM4.50). I heard that it’s a bit spicy. Hmm…
Right: Creamy Mushroom Toast(RM3.80).

Left: I ordered Dry Black Sauce Beef Noodle(RM4.50), not so bad… The taste isn’t that empowering, just nice for my taste bud as I’m not really fond of food with too strong flavour.
Right: “Ngo Hiam”(RM4.50), they called it Chicken Roll. Hmm… Not so bad, reminds me of the one my parents usually buy at erm… I can’t remember where πŸ˜› Hehehe… The owner said that it’s restaurant standard, not sure about that though πŸ˜›

Oh dear… I just realised I didn’t have another dish, sweet and sour fish with rice(RM4.50) that was ordered by Angel. I did take the photo but it’s missing… I might have accidentally deleted it.

Prices are quite reasonable and have wide varieties.

The Opening Of Lounge2

Posted on December 22, 2007December 23, 2007 By sweet surrender 8 Comments on The Opening Of Lounge2

Thanks to Deejay for letting us know that Lounge2 is opening yesterday. It’s from 5pm-8pm. It was only for invited guests. In fact, we were supposed to tell them that he’s the one that asked us go but Jimmy knows the boss, Jack πŸ˜› It’s the same owner as Terminal One or the previous Mermaid and Dolphin.

By the way, I have to stress that I’m not the kind that hang out at pub, bar or club. I hate these places to bits. I went to this opening for the sake of my blog as not many bloggers were going, you can count with less than 5 fingers πŸ˜› hahaha… Besides, it’s still new so the air is fresher though people smoked, they have suction fans installed but still too small and too few. Sigh… At least at the end of the night, I didn’t smell much like a walking cigarette but still a bit of smell.

You can’t see it clearly from the roadside, it will be very obvious when night falls. Everything you see in there are marked with “Lounge2”. -.- So kiasu!

Left: The section where we sat. At the Christmas tree.
Right: I like the cabinet. Simple and nice.

Left: The bar section.
Right: Wine, wine, wine.

Another section with the water curtain. Water as in real water!

The bar again.

Even the toilet is also marked with Lounge2 on the mirror(middle picture). See the hands? My hand and Gladiezz. Hehehe… It shares a sink hehehe… Don’t worry, you can’t the the person next door when you do your business.

Sorry… Can’t help to show you the food. The catering was done by Secret Garden. OH MY! I was damn hungry -.-

Mussels! My first time eating fresh one. Surprise, surprise πŸ˜› The food was nice, not bad except the spaghetti.

We were offered beer or Coke, we had Coke of course as we need to go to Blessed Church Chirstmas Night After that. I won’t choose beer also even if I’m not going to the Christmas Night as I don’t drink.

Last but not least, group photos! πŸ˜›

Left: Gladiezz, me, Jimmy.
Right: Me, Jack(the owner) , Gladiezz.

Where’s the place?
It’s at Height Drive, Stutong. The new shops area. Here’s the address:
Lot 441 & 443, Heights Drive Commercial Centre, Jalan Stutong, 93350 Kuching, Sarawak
If you need more details on the location or any inquiry, do call Roderic @ 016-877 8667

By the way, they didn’t pay us to write this. How good if they do pay us. πŸ˜›

Blogging since 2002. Anything before 2006 is no longer available. It is no longer on this server. Back then, I built my own blog and updated it using HTML. No database or anything. Only started blogging fully with a CMS in 2006. However, whatever was on the Internet will stay on the Internet. So... It should be still somewhere on the Internet. Then again... Why do you want to dig that far?
