I used to bring my laptop along with me when I travel to ensure that I can easily find a place for Internet access. I’m sure I’m not the only one doing so ;p
I went to Singapore with Nokia 5800 XpressMusic, I swapped my phone with my brother. My aunt’s place didn’t have Internet so I had to find Internet connection whenever I’m out to check my blog, e-mails, and so on. Thought I could register for free WiFi available in Singapore but I couldn’t as my SIM card wasn’t belong to any Telco in Singapore. So my friend let me used his account.
I had a bit of difficulty using the phone because I was not familiar with it. Typing with it was quite hard especially when I need to key in the password for the WiFi, it’s long, it’s alphanumerical, and it’s case sensitive. Basically, it’s only used for Internet access, not phone calls, SMSes, or MMSes as I was on roaming and we had a Singapore number.
This time, I’m going to KL with Samsung i8510 INNOV8. It’s also my bro’s phone, he sold off his Nokia and then he got Sony Ericsson w995. I thought I would be using this for my KL trip but he sold it off again to get a Samsung.
I’m bringing two phones with me. Samsung is for the Internet. I have my Celcom Broadband SIM card in there so that I do not have to hunt for free WiFi even though the place I’m staying provide free Internet but I just don’t want to lug that bulky laptop with me. Then my old trusty Sony Ericsson K800i will be my phone.
How good is this Samsung? I have no idea ;p This post was written days ago before my trip but it’s a bit hard to navigate as I’m not used to it.
The again, I don’t really mind, as long that I can get into the Internet, it is good enough.
i ever use the nokia one, it’s so inconvenient.. don’t really like it..
Jessica, yea.. Not so nice to use but once you got used to it, it’s actually OK.
