I know.. I know… I haven’t give you enough food porn lately. Belt a bit tight this month, that’s why I have those paid posts πŸ˜› Just some updates on what I’m doing these few days.

1. ANNOUNCEMENT!
Some of you know that there will be a gathering this 21st July(hopefully we can have it on this date) for bloggers. The problem we are having now is where should we have it? I really have no idea. It’s going to be a sponsored bloggers’ meet. Any idea? Where? Preferably a place where you can get them to prepare food and drinks with given budget instead of letting bloggers order whatever they want, we cannot do that to our sponsor, bankrupt later. So be considerate πŸ™‚ Or you know the owner of a certain place then it’s easier to discuss. We might have to book the whole place down. My idea is Best Berry Cafe but no air-conditioning. Since we know the owners, it’s easy to arrange. However, I’m sure many want an air-conditioned place. So… Do suggest please, need it A.S.A.P! 21st July coming soon… Update: Most probably it will be in the afternoon.

2. Went to reload my phone just now and the owner of the shop thought that I’m my sister. *LOL*

3. I’ve been doing a bit of optimization to this blog. Just a bit πŸ˜‰

4. Added disclosure policy.

5. Will start to do something on irenelaw.com. I know this domain links to this blog and many of you are linking to me via this domain. I’m planning to do something to irenelaw.com to improve its Alexa ranking. I got a PR3 with this domain. Will let you know what by then. Don’t worry, there is no need to change the link πŸ™‚ it will still come to this blog.

6. Will be going to Starbucks within this week or next week. Yeah… Belt a bit tight. Hahaha… I know someone is waiting for my review. You’ll have it. Food porn is coming again! YEAH! By the way, the Internet connection at Starbucks is not ready yet, it’ll be ready in 2 weeks time.

Very nice food right?

My parents and my brother went out for dinner last night and they decided to go to somewhere in Kuching for dinner. I’m not going to tell you the exact shop directly. I had already mentioned it just now. The name is hidden in this post itself with not the exact spelling. If you know this shop, you will know.

The food on the left is the shop’s specialty. The one in the middle is ginger beef. The one on the right is don’t-know-what rice. I have no idea what they are. It doesn’t matter since I’m not going to talk much about the food.

The don’t-know-what rice had two veggies missing. It’s all right with that but the rice was bad. From the outside it looked OK but the inside were those rice at the bottom of the pot. You know, those hard hard part at the bottom of the pot? You are not supposed to serve your customer rice like this!

Then… You ever heard of this:
What is the worst thing when you eat an apple with a worm?

The answer is:
By the time you see the worm, the worm is only half!

So… What is the worst thing when you have a plate of noodle when it’s almost finish?

OMG!!!!

My parents and my brother had no idea what was that! It seemed like a fly, it seemed like a type of insect… *SHRUG* The wings and some parts of the body were GONE!!! They called the boss over and the boss apologized and said that there’s no need to pay for the food. However, my dad is not such unreasonable and inconsiderate person, he insisted on paying for the drinks and didn’t want to leave until they collect the money for the drinks. After they collected the drinks money then my parents and my brother left.

You see, actually my dad told me not to make a big fuss over it. Basically he didn’t want me to put it up on the Internet but I still put it up except not telling you exactly where it happened. To him, it’s just pure bad luck that they had encountered the insect in the food. Any place you go will more or less has this problem, it’s just pure luck. He didn’t want to make people out of business. Count that shop lucky that my parents didn’t make a big fuss at the shop that time, it was packed summore! My dad even insisted to pay for the drinks.

The photos were taken by my brother. My sis and I were attending another dinner function last night. Good thing, there isn’t food poisoning after that.

So… What do you think? What will you do if you encouter this problem? I would totally lost my appetite and feel want to vomit everything out -.-” I won’t pay for the drinks and leave. I won’t make a scene, would just tell them nicely and leave. Then come back and blog about it hahaha…

WARNING: Bandwidth sucker ahead!

Hehehe… This is a girly post but I’m sure guys will equally like it too πŸ˜› I watched FashionTV yesterday and it happened that on the 7th-8th July, they would be airing everything about Elie Saab. I managed to watch 3 of the fashion shows but only pay attention to 2. Oh my… I love his designs! They are simple, elegent and pretty. Price tags are of course very pretty too. Hahaha… I decided to share those that I like with you. I don’t always pay attention into things like this, so it’s quite rare for me to talk about those high street fashion.

If you are wondering who is he? Many Hollywood stars are wearing his designs on the red carpet for example Helle Berry and Beyonce. He’s the man behind those pretty dresses. I don’t think guys will remember what those stars were wearing. Doesn’t matter to them anyway. They are just clothes to them and everything is the same to them. They only pay attention to the breasts or the butts or the legs or the faces, that’s all. Hahaha…

Well, for the guys, you’ll have pretty girls to drool at; for the gals, you have pretty gowns to drool at hehehe…

I didn’t see this on FashionTV but found them in the internet. These are spring 2007 collection. The first two gowns sure I cannot wear πŸ˜› I don’t have such big assets to show LOL… The 3rd one definitely I can wear but… Impossible I can buy it hahaha… No place to wear it also πŸ˜›

Here’s the summer 2007 collection. Brown and gold are the colours of this season. I like these two colours a lot! Can’t decide which one I like most, I want all of them *LOL* They are not too baring, just nice. I love the flowy fabric that he used. The designs are simple and not loud at all.

Elie Saab haute couture collection for spring/summer 2007-2008. When hearing the words “haute couture”, the first thing that comes to me is those fancy, weird, strange gowns and heavy, complicated, hollyween makeup and hairdo. When I see Elie Saab haute couture, my perception totally changed!

Nothing big, weird, heavy or fancy. Even the makeup and hairdo also very simple and natural. Don’t believe it? See it for yourself, I couldn’t make up my mind on which gown I like best, I like all of them hahah…

Don’t think I will ever afford to get one of his collections hahaha… They are nice to look at but I don’t think there’s a need to own them πŸ™‚ For your eyes only…

p/s: Don’t you think those models are very skinny? I know I’m skinny too but I’m not as tall as them.

It’s 070707 today! Guess what! It’s Alex wedding day today!! Happy Wedding!! I know many people is getting married today and tomorrow. So to all those love birds out there who are having their big day today and tomorrow, congratulations from Sweet Surrender!


As for those that are invited to attend weddings, especially those attending Chinese wedding, happy giving ang paos! πŸ˜› Hehehe… No wedding for me to attend this year except early this year, maybe year end provided I’m in Kuching that time. There were a lot last year but not this year. Most of them are busy making babies or preparing for their babies arrival this year *LOL*.

Don’t ask me when is my turn! I don’t know, boyfriend also don’t have, how to get married? *blek*

Enough about wedding, go drop Lilian a blog post if you want. Lilian is letting you write something in her new blog!. I wanted to do it yesterday but she gave us wrong login information haha… Finally my post is in chanlilian.org, Sweet Surrender @ chanlilian.org. *LOL* I didn’t double check what I typed and I just realised that I have so many spelling and and grammartical mistakes in there -.-“

Spent RM100+ Today

Aiksss… I seldom spend this much in a day. To some people, this amount is nothing but it’s really quite a big amount to me. Told you I don’t simply spend money one. I seldom do this during normal days except when I shop for CNY clothings.

I just found out that my lipbalms are almost finish, both are about 2mm left. I didn’t know, I thought still have a lot. So went to Watsons to buy. Bought Lip Ice Mandarin Orange(15% discount :)) and Lip Ice Sheer Colour(no discount :(). spent around RM18(The receipt is not with me, so this is rough estimation hahaha…) for these.

Then, I’ve been wondering whether want to try out colour contact lense for quite sometimes and decided to buy them today because I heard that when you buy two boxes, you get one box free. So after doing some math, it’s actually cheaper than my normal visibility tinted contact lense, I could save few Ringgits for 9 month supply.

Actually I just bought a box of normal visibility tinted contact lense for 3 month supply last week. I’m not sure how long the offer will last, so better get them first before the offer ends. Or is the offer on going one? No idea… The expiry dates are also still quite far away, 2011 and 2012 hahaha… So I can keep stock. Basically, I got my 1 year contact lense supply already. There won’t be any shopping for contact lense in one year time. πŸ˜›

I ended up buying 3 different colours(true hazel, brown and sapphire blue), means 3 boxes, each pair can last for 3 months. I’ve been using monthly disposal contact lense(switching from Seequence, then to Acuvue Clear, then finally settle with Softlens38) for years.

I’ll start wearing colour lense in October. It’ll be my first time using 3 month disposal contact lense. I will have different eye colour every 3 months. YIPEE! πŸ˜› Will blog about it by then Hahaha… I’m so lucky that both sides of my eyes have the same degree summore my degree has been maintaining for years, so this offer is really a great offer, I got to choose 3 colours!! These 3 boxes of Freshlook Colorblends cost me RM100 for 9 month supply.

Softlense38 costs me RM38 for 3 months but the price increase to RM40 now. I get to save few Ringgits. Hehehe… Then I heard my sis said, somewhere is offering 2 boxes for RM84 and free one box -.-” However, not sure what’s the brand on offer, could be the same. WAH! Oh well… Still manage to save few Ringgits better than nothing.

Today I spent more than RM100, it’s a lot for me. I never spend this much in a day for shopping alone and all these things could fit into a very small plastic bag!
