Hanging In There…

Feeling so tired today, no idea why. It’s been very hot these days too. Not going to update much today, just some thoughts. Need to hit the sack soon.

It’s almost the end of June. Half year of 2009 is almost gone. What did you achieve? How’s the first half of 2009? Broken any resolution? Giving up on your resolutions? What’s your plan for the coming half year of 2009? Anyone of you ponder on these?

For me, I do… For the first time in my life I ponder and reflect. First half of 2009 has been tough on me. I felt betrayed and disappointed over and over again. I can see that these are going to haunt me for quite sometimes. I don’t know when will it end. Maybe only after I cut all the ties. The problem is that it cannot be cut unless some other road or way open up for me.

I’ve been on the verge on giving up on and off. Always when things seemed to be going fine this minute, then the next minute everything just crumbled into pieces. It’s tiring especially if you are feeling like this for almost half year.

Thank goodness that I have people that I can really call friends to pull me up when I’m falling. Also not forgetting the special someone that managed to “save” me when I need it, miss you heaps, hoping to hear from you soon.

I know that somebody will be extremely happy reading this as this is what this somebody wants from me all these while ever since from the beginning.

I know some of you will be saying that I shouldn’t let that somebody win by seeing me suffer, I must prove that that somebody is wrong.

Believe me, I tried but due to various circumstances there is no way I can do it. That person has been using my weaknesses to attack me over and over again. I am extremely exhausted. There is no other option for now, I have to hang in there as long as possible until another opportunity comes.

I know some of you will say that I must go out to find the opportunity and not waiting for it to come.

Trust me, I’m working on it and the result is not immediate, it takes whole lot of efforts and time and also the luck and fate. The Chinese has this saying 天时地利人和 (tian shi di li ren he), I really need this for it to work, lacking of one element won’t work. Or in other words, it takes two to tango.

All right. I must stop here now. Time to sleep, my eyes are getting blurry. Good night.

Heart Matters

Few days back, I wasn’t in very good mood and didn’t feel like to do anything so I decided to experiment with make-up to perk me up. I emphasize on my eyes.

It took me about 45 minutes *LOL* the result, as if I didn’t apply anything but I did, lots of them! ;p There are some sayings that natural make-up is the hardest and most time consuming to apply. I do agree with that. Also, I’m lack of proper tools to apply those eye shadows. That’s why it took so long.

Oh well… Most of my make-ups are more on the neutral and natural shades meant to improve my facial feature rather than showing of colours. My style is the natural kind of makeup. I know some people will go, “What’s the point?!?! Better don’t apply any!” *BLEK*

In fact, playing with colours once in a while is fun but for people like me, it would mean most of the colours won’t be used much and later ended up in the rubbish bin. It would be a waste and I’m a very lazy girl.

If you make mistake with neutral/natural colours, it’s not obvious but mistakes with colours then it will be very obvious.


Here’s the result. Not that obvious I know but this is the first time I emphasize so much on the eyes and at least it’s slightly more defined. Due to the lighting, the colours just didn’t show much, as if nothing was applied.

The final effect. Hmm… No difference at all *LOL* Actually also want to show you my hair after my first hair wash after my hair cut the other day. I’m very vain too ;p

I camwhored so much just to find the right angle and to get pictures that captured my eye make-up clearly but because of neutral/natural colours, you can’t see any colour.

Not much editing to the photos, only adjusted the brightness a bit coz actual photos are quite dark due to the lighting.

Following are the make up that I used:
Foundation: Maybelline AngelFit Foundation – Light Ochre.
This is the foundation I used most of the time. Quick and easy to apply.

Under eye concealer: L’Oreal True Match – Nude Ivory, Everyday Mineral Concealer – Abott’s Perk Me Up.
First time I used L’Oreal True Match foundation as concealer and it worked really well in concealing my dark circle than using Everyday Mineral Concealer – Abott’s Perk Me Up alone.

Eyeshadow: Shiseido Eyeshadow BR754 -brown colour, Eyebrow Pencil from Cosway – Black, Benefit r.s.v.p, Everyday Minerals foundation – Fawn
I used the eyebrow pencil for my inner lid with layers and layers of Shiseido Eyeshadow BR754 -brown colour to create a darker brown in the attempt of achieving the smokey look but we can consider it failed because the colours were still not strong enough. Time to invest in some strong/dark eyeshadow colours but not now… I just can’t get myself to spend on such thing now.

The upper lid, I used Benefit r.s.v.p.

The brow bone, I used Everyday Minerals foundation – Fawn as highlight.

Eyeliner: Shiseido Eyeshadow BR754 -brown colour, Eyebrow Pencil from Cosway – Black
I know… I know… I’m not supposed to use eyebrow pencil as eyeliner but it can be done, this is one tip I got from a beauty magazine. All you need to do is wet it bit to soften it and line your eyes with it. I didn’t wet it so it’s not so good to use and I ended up “rubbed” it away with Shiseido Eyeshadow BR754 -brown colour. Time to invest in eyeliner too I guess but again… ;p Don’t feel like spending on make-up now.

In fact I tried it once few years back and it was not so bad.

After that, I lined my eyes with Shiseido Eyeshadow BR754 -brown colour but not much effect. I even smudged them at the corner of the eyes if you notice in the photos above.

Mascara: Maybelline Unstoppable Curly Extension Mascara – black
Applied on upper and lower lashes but since my lower lashes are not grown properly as in some sections with lashes, some sections don’t. It looked horrible in real life but didn’t expect it to turn out OK in the photos. No eyelash curler used.

Lips: Lip Ice Fruity, Revlon Super Lustrous Lipgloss – Pink Crystal.

Blusher: Maybelline AngelFit Brighten Up Blush – Strawberry.

Highlight: Boots No7 High Lights Illuminating Powder

Gathering @ Patio

So… It’s the time again for our gathering and we decided to have it at Patio. Luckily we picked 16th June, if it’s earlier than that, we will have to make a last minute decision to shift somewhere else. On the 16th June, they reopened. On the day they re-opened, we had our gathering there. Slight renovation was done, there’s no more partition.

Oh… You can use My Privilege Card to get 15% discount but they only gave me 10% aiks… I didn’t realized it, only knew about it when I flipped tru’ the book the next day.

Anyway, let’s see the food that we had:

Our drinks: Hot coffee(RM2), mango smoothie(RM7.90) – tasteless but good thing it’s tasteless, you will know hwy later, ice lemon tea(RM2.50), Heineken – someone was emo *LOL*(RM6)


Left: Fish and Chips(RM10.90), well… it’s just fish and chips, nothing to comment.
Right: Lamb chop(RM15.90), very sad… ;p You see the photo you will say so too.


Left: Mixed grill(RM22.90), I shared this with Lee since he had his dinner earlier on and the portion was just nice for us to share, so we shared. There’s beef, chicken, lamb and fish in there, all very thin slices. The sauce was very salty.
Right: This time, Jee made vanilla muffins for our dessert. Very sweet muffin but it’s a very successful one.


As usual, Lee made dessert for us too, American Chocolate Peanut Cake. He even wrote something on the cake hahaha… I thought he’ll write “happy birthday” but it was “happy gathering 16/6”. We jokingly said that why is he so pathetic that he had to make his own birthday for himself and also asked him where’s the candles ;p

Very paiseh ok? It’s outside food and we brought so many muffins and a cake in! People sure won’t be happy with us doing this. A cake is fine, as it is common to celebrate birthday at an eatery and bring in your own cake but we had so much that day -.-”

Anyway, luckily my drink was quite tasteless, the muffin and the cake were really sweet *LOL* Sugar overloaded. Luckily I could sleep well that night after consuming so much sugar ;p

Just Feel Like Sharing…

Hoping that you will have a good laugh over it also ;p It’s a very very long text post, so if you want to ignore it, it’s up to you.

This happened yesterday. I got a phone call from some very “smart” people asking for the service that I’m providing. Most of you know what I’m working as. If you don’t know, it’s all right, might get the hint here, I’ll just summarize the whole thing as the story is really loooong coz the phone conversation was really loooooong yet it’s repeating.

I will refer this person as TK, he is from VE. *LOL* I’m not going to give you his full name and company’s name coz I’m not here to make enemy and don’t want to get into trouble with such “smart” people. Also I’m not that bad in wanting people to close shop.

What you see here are not the exact words, I’m just summarizing, it sounded something like that.

Bought Maybelline AngelFit Brighten Up Blush (Strawberry) few months back as I’m running out of blusher. It cost me about RM29+, there was discount if not mistaken.

Finally today I’m using it for the first time as I was experimenting with my makeups. Love the colour but I hate the brush! It’s so rough. This is my first time come across such rough brush. This is also my first time buying Maybelline blusher.

Don’t think I will use the brush that comes with it even though it has a nice angular shape quite suitable for the cheek and provide the effect that I want but it’s just to harsh to be used. Will wash my previous blusher brush and use it, it feels much better and it was never rough from the beginning.

Thumbs down for the brush, thumbs up for the colour.

Hmm… Maybe I might want to try to soften the brush by washing it with shampoo or something ;p
