Christmas Eve 2010

Posted on December 24, 2010December 25, 2010 By sweet surrender 14 Comments on Christmas Eve 2010

It’s Christmas eve. Where are you? What are you doing? I’m gonna try to sleep early tonight ;p Tomorrow morning will go to church. Trying to complete my assignment now hehehe…

Didn’t go to many places these few months, most of the time I stayed home. Only some photos to share.

Christmas decor at tHe Spring.

tHe Spring is packed now because of the concert. Went there this afternoon to window shop and was shocked to find that carpark was pretty full, lots of shoppers too. It’s not even 4.30pm! Lucky me. Got one spot immediately after got into the basement parking.

This is the Christmas decor at Boulevard. The decorations were mostly from recyclable materials especially plastic bottles! This is how it looks like under the plastic bottle Christmas tree (or is it a bell?) Hehehe…

First thing in the morning I got a good news!

Left: The HTC HD7 is now mine! YAY!

Middle:
Went to get my IC replaced yesterday, then collected it today. Yesterday was hilarious! It took the officer almost 10 shoots or more(didn’t count) to get my photo right ;p I was at the counter for so long. First few, she couldn’t get the lighting right, too dark or the camera couldn’t focus. Then, she tested some shoots. After that, she thought it should be OK already and asked me to have a look to see if I’m satisfied with it, I noticed that I didn’t look at the camera instead at the mirror hahaha… I asked her, where am I supposed to look. I was looking at the mirror all those time! Funny. *blek* So we retook. Few more, not good too.

Next, I was messing with my hair while waiting for her to do some adjustments, she suddenly asked me to to frame my face with my hair, it will look better. WAKAKA! I thought we must show our ears for IC. No need! Don’t even have to wear clothes with sleeves! OK… Now I know. Again, took the photo and finally she told me to wear the vest for better contrast, two shoots and she asked me to have a look again, I wasn’t quite satisfied with it but since I hogged the counter for so long, I just agreed on that, at least not so bad. Should have use my double eyelid tape then it will look nicer and wear something darker.

Cool! I didn’t know we can now choose our photo for IC ;p The end photo was with the hair framing the face and with black vest which is making me look as if I have very thick hair and made the whole photo triangular 0_0″

I went there at around 4.20pm to collect the IC(you can now get your IC done in one day provided you go there early but there will be tonnes of people! If after 3.30pm then might have to wait till the next day), I thought they are closing or already closed but they they only close at 5pm. Phew… I was so afraid I wasn’t in time.

Useful tips, if you want fast service, go there after 4pm, most likely you don’t have to wait for your turn because the place is practically empty by then.

Right: Finally payment made. What is it all about? You’ll know soon but not that soon. I’m grateful to have a supportive family, thank you very much. I hope things will go as planned and I have less than a year to make things happen the way I want it to be because it’s an expensive feat else I’ll be in serious shit!

Merry Christmas everyone! Play safe!

Garnier Light Brightening Eye Roll-On

Posted on December 22, 2010December 22, 2010 By sweet surrender No Comments on Garnier Light Brightening Eye Roll-On

After I finished Cellnique Contour De-Puffy Jewel, I have been looking for something more affordable for the eyes. It took me quite awhile and finally found Garnier Light Brightening Eye Roll-On which was slightly closer to Cellnique’s by comparing the ingredients.

It was not easy to find even though it’s a very common product from Garnier. I looked for it in Guardian, Watsons, supermarkets, hypermarket but couldn’t find any. As if it’s gone from the shelves all at the same time. After weeks of hunting, I found it! It’s less than RM20 after discount. In fact, I don’t remember the price hehehe… Rest assure that it’s quite affordable.

The result?

I used it twice a day. Already more than a month. It did reduce my puffiness but not as dramatic as Cellnique’s. Dark circles remain the same. Don’t expect anything to reduce your dark circles if you don’t lead a healthy lifestyle and if it’s heredity. Mine are caused by sensitive nose and no doubt sleeping late ;p I really should sleep earlier and not after 12am or almost 1am. Really need determination. I had been sleeping before around 11pm or before for the past 2 months but after that I’m back to my old habit. Bad, bad, bad…

In conclusion, it’s not so bad. With the price you’re paying, I think it’s worth the buy and it’s not expensive. Even if it’s not effective, you won’t feel guilty buying it. Remember that you can always use your eye care products on other part of your face if it doesn’t suit your eyes such as the around the lips, your neck, and so on. Anywhere you want extra care.

I know there are many people that found it not effective. At the end of the day, it really depends on individual skin condition, there’s no such thing as one size fits all.

There’s a Nyonya food stall at Food Bazaar, tHe Spring. I’m sure it’s no stranger to those that always go there. These photos were taken almost a year ago! Hehehe… This is just to share with you the types of Nyonya kuih that you can find in Malaysia in general.

Left: I love anything with peanuts! 😉 Kuih Koci (Peanut).

Right: Can someone help me with this? I can’t seem to remember what this is called yet it’s so common!

Left: Need help with this too…

Right: Either Pulut Inti or Pulut Sambal. Not so sure which one.

Big Oreo, Small Oreo

Posted on December 18, 2010December 18, 2010 By sweet surrender 2 Comments on Big Oreo, Small Oreo

All right… A short post. Exam today and tomorrow.

There was an Oreo craze few weeks ago in class *LOL* It all started with this…

The Oreo container. So CUTE! We asked our friend where she got it, she said that she bought two packets of Oreo and this was the free gift.

Instantly, everyone asked her to help buy Oreo because we all wanted the container! I heard there’s quite a craze in one my friend’s kindy. A kid brought it to school, the teacher saw it and went to buy. Then the other teachers saw it, they also went to buy. So funny!

Really can’t help it. We’re sucker for cute stuffs hehehe…

I think this is one very successful promotional tactic! They nailed it I guess.

Technology Ruins Romance

Posted on December 16, 2010December 20, 2010 By sweet surrender 2 Comments on Technology Ruins Romance

WOW! It’s Thursday! The time is flying fast!

If you notice, I used to blog once a day. Now… It’s once every two days. Sooooo busy ever since I had my practicum. Even though it had ended last month, I still couldn’t get the momentum back because there are still many things that need to catch up with after putting them aside or pay less attention to them for 2 months+.

Exam this weekend, then need to complete my assignments(we are supposed to submit them before the exam but we only got them on the final week of our semester!). That leaves me with less than a week to complete it as the due date is on the day I go for my holiday. Next, I have a few more projects that I need to get the ball rolling after my exam too before I head to Singapore for a short trip. Then, when I’m back, those projects need to be completed before CNY. At least, I no longer need to attend classes as I had finished my Diploma in Early Childhood Education. Then, it will be another chapter of life begins… *cross my fingers*

Anyway, I want to share these interesting videos with you. Saw one of the Technology Ruins Romance videos in one of my friend’s wall post in Facebook. It’s hilarious! Sadly it’s true. This is how technology changes current days romance. I can relate to them LOL…

This is my favourite!

Time is different now, we can stay in touch with our loved one so much easier than it used to but at the same time it really makes me ponder on quality vs quantity issue.

Next, it’s this…

What destiny? Everyone is practically connected to one another with social networks. The world is really small now. It’s a whole new way of looking at destiny.

This one is so dramatic! A acting is exaggerating though.

He lost track of his wife?!? Seriously… Then again, I do believe such thing does happens. This makes me go back to the quality vs quantity issue and how technology changes the way we connect to each other.

How some families actually “talk” to each other using IM or SMS when they are under the same roof?!?! How couples or families sitting on the same dinner table but each of them is busy with his/her mobile phone?!?!

Sad right?

Only started blogging fully with a CMS in 2006. However, whatever was on the Internet will stay on the Internet. So... It should be still somewhere on the Internet. Then again... Why do you want to dig that far?
