My first Christmas in Adelaide.
Photo taken after 12 hours of Christmas’ eve cum birthday party at a friend’s house.
At 10.45am, 24/12/2011, my friend came to pick me up to do a bit of last minute shopping for the BBQ marathon of the day, karaoke whole day too. We started BBQ at noon.
The weather was scorching hot. Damn hot! Worst than Malaysia. I’m such a good girl, didn’t even touch single alcoholic drink 😉 It was also birthday party for 3 friends.
Left: Group photo of the girls at the party. Some left earlier, these are those still there at 10.30pm. Most guys were drunk already. Most of the girls were sober because not many of us drank.
Right: In fact, some of us left the party at around 8.45pm to catch the Christmas Light Show at Salisbury. It was dissappointing. Was hoping to see lots of houses with colourful lights but we were greeted by only 2 houses.
This is one of the houses.
This is another one. Drove so long and only saw two houses with the lights. Well… Along the way, there’s random houses with Christmas lights but they were not as great as these two. Not sure all together how many at this area but we only saw two major ones.
We rushed back to the party before 10.30pm to join the birthday celebration. We’ve been basically eating and drinking (including non-alcoholic drinks) for almost 12 hours before calling it a night. The poor guys were out there BBQ for us and we ladies all hid inside the house for air-conditioning. It’s sooooo hot.
Christmas morning, went to church. It was so hot in the church and felt like fainting -.-” Twice! After the service, we had tea break, yummy cake!
I’m leaving Adelaide soon… Gosh! It’s getting closer and closer. I’m still not that prepared to go to Korea. My packing not really done yet, no idea what to bring.
Going to have another BBQ tonight. Will prepare for tonight now. Merry Christmas and Happy new year!
A different ambience of celebrating xmas in different country huh? Lol! Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!
Rose, same to you! Merry Christmas and happy new year! In fact, it’s kind of similar to Kuching just that in Kuching I don’t attend those parties ;p if I did attend, then it’s really similar.
