5th Day in Adelaide

Posted on April 4, 2011April 3, 2011 By sweet surrender 5 Comments on 5th Day in Adelaide

It’s Sunday morning. Experienced my very first false fire alarm and I was doing my big business in the toilet! I didn’t know it’s fire alarm ;p Happened that right after doing the business, I was set to go out. So I didn’t bother much and I even used the lift! ;p Came out, saw many firemen at the lobby and two fire trucks outside then it dawned on me that it’s fire alarm. I decided to continue with my journey but suddenly I thought that I forgot to flush the toilet!! I went back and waited with the rest before we were allowed to go back up. When I got back up… I did flush the toilet duh~ So blur…

Left: Adelaide Convention Centre.

Right: The street…

Left: One of the hotels in the city.

Right: The view of the buildings. Happened that the other student apartment was having false fire alarm too and there’s two fire trucks there. All those false fire alarms are really wasting the resources of the fire department. What’s wrong with those people that triggered it? It requires lots of smoke to trigger it and there’s a silence button for you to press too. Anyway, it’s very common to have false fire alarms in student apartments. Still I don’t understand how those people actually triggered it.

Left: Adelaide Railway Station.

Right: Planned to go to the casino to find free food and drinks because I just threw away 4 slices of beef as it went bad, I forgot that I must marinade it if I want to leave it in the fridge, gone were the dishes for my two meals -.-” but too bad… No such thing as free lunch in the casino hahaha…

Just behind the casino, the Festival Centre.

Left: The Solar Mallee trees outside the centre.

Right: View taken from the centre.

Left: Then, it led me to the Elder Park. I didn’t know this park exist ;p I didn’t even check my map or anything. I just walked where there’s road to walk. I was thrilled to find it, I think this will be the place where I’ll go often when I need some space for clear my mind. More photos on this place coming up in future post πŸ˜‰

There’s series of events happening there.

Of course, food stalls set up too. I didn’t try any though. Instead I went back to Rundle Mall for Hungry Jack’s. Gonna post it after this.

Ha ha, I love your humour! And its always good do your business before going out.
    Thats a habit with me.
Never like to have tummy problems when outside as never appreciated public toilets.

We live in an apartment and once awhile the alarm goes off, within 4 minutes, 5 fire trucks, police, ambulance will rush over, sirens screaming.

Love the pics…..I guess the weather now cool, huh? You have fun, go shopping.
    Lee.

It is very scenic along River Torrens. You can jog or ride a bike there. If you follow the foot path, you can walk all the way to the zoo and pass by University of Adelaide and Botanica Garden.
