Summary of Genting-KL Trip 5th-8th January 2010

Posted on January 11, 2010January 11, 2010 By sweet surrender No Comments on Summary of Genting-KL Trip 5th-8th January 2010

I haven’t got the time to edit the photos for the post. I’ll just do a summary for now in case some of you wonder how my trip went.

5th January:
Bye bye Kuching… Hello KL and Genting…

Noon flight to KL using Air Asia, weather was good. Had meals on board, ordered it when I bought the tickets. Thinking of catching a ride direct to Genting from LCCT but was turned off by the fare. So ended up headed to KL Sentral. Thought of buying the bus ticket to Genting but due to the time and seeing that the buses were empty and not many people buying tickets, I decided to look for taxi. Found one, RM80 to go up to Genting. Took the offer. Luckily! Else our room would be gone! We must check-in before 6pm, reached the check-in counter at 5.30pm! If we were to take the bus, we would be in big trouble. Stayed in the quad room of Theme Park Hotel. Only RM78.80/night! What an offer I managed to get. Could not sleep the whole night, suffering!

6th January:
Bye bye Genting… Hello to KL again…

Took bus to KL Sentral at 12pm. Had Burger King there before looking for taxi to go to 41Berangan. Almost got slaughtered by some taxi drivers. Checked-in, then headed out to KLCC but we got lost trying to navigate our way to Bukit Bintang for taxi *LOL* In fact, Bukit Bintang was only few steps away from the junction we came out! We walked the wrong direction and got ourselves turning and turning at the same area so many times. Silly! Again, almost got slaughtered by another taxi driver. Finally got a taxi to KLCC, spent the afternoon there. Then went back to Bukit Bintang using LRT and monorail. Spent the night away at Sungei Wang and BB Plaza.

7th January:
Went to Pavilion and Lot 10 in the morning. Was pretty indecisive whether to go to 1Utama or Mid Valley. Ended up, went to 1Utama and regretted it. Was thinking of buying clothes there as I’ve been getting my clothes there every time I visit KL but not this time. Quite wasted(time and money) to be honest. Had dinner at TGI Friday at 1Utama before calling it a night. Lucky to get an honest taxi driver and luckily no jam! Slept quite early, before 11pm hehehe…

8th January:
Going back to Sungei Wang and bought some clothes there. Then Low Yat Plaza to see see look look. Next, went to Time Square. Bought a dress and Krispy Kreme there. Had lunch at the popular pan mee place just few houses away from the place we’re staying. Make final adjustment to our luggage due to one being overweight and waited for taxi to the airport. Reached the airport extremely early! Flight at almost 8pm yet we were already there at around 4pm. Didn’t know there’s new road that could reach the airport in more or less 1 hour hahaha… Loitered around the airport with my parents, munching on junk food my dad bought, killing our time. Flight was delayed for few minutes only.

Bye bye KL… Hello Kuching!

Basically, we spent most of our time getting lost inside the shopping malls! Hahaha… When you don’t need the exit, you kept seeing it; when you need the exit, you can’t seem to find the correct exit or even one exit!

It was a bit hard to navigate around KL, so much of going to KL more than once yet I still have problem navigate around ;p Oh well… What to do? All these while I had people driving me around KL. This is the first time I navigated on my own and had my parents with me. It’s their first time there. So you can imagine how my situation was. Pretty stress in a way but great experience and happy to be able to go holiday with them.

Lastly, my camera was very under utilized throughout the trip because I’ve been to those places and took enough photos of them already. Just took photos of my parents and I only had 2 photos taken, one with my dad, one with my mum.

Pizzas @ Silhouette

Posted on January 10, 2010 By sweet surrender 3 Comments on Pizzas @ Silhouette

Had pizzas and kids’ meal at Silhouette last month.

These are in the kids menu, only RM15. In fact, the portion is quite big, it can be very filling for an average eater.

You can choose to have either Fettucini Carbonara with Meat Balls(very very creamy, I couldn’t stand the creaminess but those who like Carbonara will surely love it) or Turkey Ham Pizza with Fries(I don’t like the fries but I like the pizza).

I’ve been hearing a lot about Silhouette serving good pizzas but never got the chance to try until that day. It was good though some of them were pretty salty for me, they’re still good once I got accustomed to the saltiness. I missed out the Pizza Marinara photo, forgot to take the photo before eating it hahaha…

Left: I don’t remember what is this called. 😛

Right: Pizza Peperoni(RM21). The toppings consist of beef pepperoni, tomato, and mozzarella cheese.

Even Quackers TheDuck was there. Quackers was wondering how to savour the pizza with such big spoon, fork, and knife.

I have no idea what this pizza is called too. Sorry… However, I quite like this. You can make your own pizza. Since this pizza had olives on it, it might be customized as I didn’t see this ingredient in the menu for the standard pizzas. I always like olives on my pizza. Yum yum…

Pizza Napoli(RM19), I kept hearing the guys talking about this and seemed to like it a lot. I tried it and hmmm… It’s not bad when it’s piping hot. However, if it’s cold, the fishy smell could be quite a turn off. The toppings consist of anchovy, tomato, and mozzarella cheese. See… LOTS of cheese!

Pizza fans should check Silhouette out.

tHe Spring Ambassador Hunt Top 7

Posted on January 9, 2010January 10, 2010 By sweet surrender No Comments on tHe Spring Ambassador Hunt Top 7

Supposed to be top 8 but one wasn’t here. Not sure whether he is still consider in or not.

I’m in the final!!! YAY! Didn’t expect it actually. I wasn’t told about the press conference that happened on Monday Tuesday so I thought I’m not going into the final. Then on Wednesday, I got an SMS telling me to be at tHe Spring on Saturday for photo shoot session. I thought the message was wrongly sent and even double confirmed. Since I wasn’t in Kuching, I didn’t have newspapers to read. Happened that it’s in Wednesday newspapers, The Borneo Post. You can click on the link to read about it.

SO… VOTE FOR ME!
Just spend RM100 in a single receipt at any shop at tHe Spring and you will be entitled to a lucky draw form to fill and vote for me at the same time. You might be the lucky one to win the Suzuki Swift.

If I’m not mistaken, I’m going to haunt you at tHe Spring for at least a month or so as my photo will be displayed there hahaha…

Left: Only 3 girls. Sandra, me, Naomi. Waiting for our turn for individual photo shoot with the shopping bags. I had Osim and Parkson. I kinda regret cutting my hair, shouldn’t have cut it. Too short to achieve the effect similar to Sandra’s or Naomi’s.

Right: Final shoot at the food court. We had group photos while waiting for the organizer to arrange some stuffs. All the shoots turned out -.-” Not everyone looking at the camera, there’s a shoot with everyone looking at the camera but someone partially blinked! Hahahaha… So… This is the best shoot of all ;p

(Sitting L-R: Fah Lee[Should I use this name? Hahaha… Why were you stunned?!?!], Christian, Morgan[Is there somehting interesting on Christian’s hand? ;p], Jonathan)
(Standing L-R: Me[My hair made my head looked square], Sandra, Naomi)

Our individual shoots. These are just random shoots. You’ll see the official photos near the customer service counter somewhere next week(if not mistaken). *shy* Never in my life have my photo shown in public like that hahaha…

Oh no… In other words, I can no longer show up at tHe Spring without dressing up *LOL*

My session was quite short, just 2 attempts and I’m done. The rest took quite a while. I don’t know why. Why is my session always so short? The first photo shoot was also short too for me compare to the rest. It’s a good thing I guess…

Group shoots for the guys.

For the girls, we had it outside the shopping mall. It was a very fun session.

Lastly, Don’t forget to vote for me!!! Hehehe… *thick face*

Can’t Live Without Internet *Giggle*

Posted on January 7, 2010January 3, 2010 By sweet surrender 2 Comments on Can’t Live Without Internet *Giggle*

I used to bring my laptop along with me when I travel to ensure that I can easily find a place for Internet access. I’m sure I’m not the only one doing so ;p

I went to Singapore with Nokia 5800 XpressMusic, I swapped my phone with my brother. My aunt’s place didn’t have Internet so I had to find Internet connection whenever I’m out to check my blog, e-mails, and so on. Thought I could register for free WiFi available in Singapore but I couldn’t as my SIM card wasn’t belong to any Telco in Singapore. So my friend let me used his account.

I had a bit of difficulty using the phone because I was not familiar with it. Typing with it was quite hard especially when I need to key in the password for the WiFi, it’s long, it’s alphanumerical, and it’s case sensitive. Basically, it’s only used for Internet access, not phone calls, SMSes, or MMSes as I was on roaming and we had a Singapore number.

This time, I’m going to KL with Samsung i8510 INNOV8. It’s also my bro’s phone, he sold off his Nokia and then he got Sony Ericsson w995. I thought I would be using this for my KL trip but he sold it off again to get a Samsung.

I’m bringing two phones with me. Samsung is for the Internet. I have my Celcom Broadband SIM card in there so that I do not have to hunt for free WiFi even though the place I’m staying provide free Internet but I just don’t want to lug that bulky laptop with me. Then my old trusty Sony Ericsson K800i will be my phone.

How good is this Samsung? I have no idea ;p This post was written days ago before my trip but it’s a bit hard to navigate as I’m not used to it.

The again, I don’t really mind, as long that I can get into the Internet, it is good enough.
