Enter K

Posted on February 15, 2008February 21, 2008 By sweet surrender 5 Comments on Enter K

Valentine’s Day, we spent 5 hours singing karaoke πŸ˜› Hahaha… Frankie booked a room for 4 of us and Allen joined us later. So there were we, Jimmy, Frankie, Allen, Adeline and I.

Enter K, is the newest karaoke establishment in Kuching. Located on the 2nd floor of Crown Square, Pending. Opened last year end and only got the chance to visit it yesterday. Same concept as Popwave but there are some differences with the sound system and the the pricing of course.

Left: I really like the entrance. Even got water down there and a bit of smoke(from dry ice). I was expecting to smell cigarette smell, surprisingly I didn’t smell any!
Right: However, the smell was quite strong in the room, good thing it’s not as strong as Popwave or other nightspots. This is normal room, VIP room is more expensive. You must pay before you go in. It was RM23++/person, after added the tax, it’s RM26+/person.

We were in room number 10. With that price, you will get one glass of free soft drink/beer. As for the snacks that you see here, I think they will provide the snacks for each room. I don’t think Frankie ordered it. I ate most of them hahaha… I wonder they have hidden cameras in there or not? They came in to collect the bowls once it’s finished -.-” How do they know!!?!? Aikss… Scary…

We sang for 5 hours, didn’t know change how many battery for the microphones. -.-” The batteries ran out so fast!! We were speculating that they might be using China batteries. The sound system isn’t that good also to my untrained ears hahaha… We sang more than 50 songs(I think…) At the end, we still had about 40+ songs that didn’t manage to sing.

Left: *BLEK* My photo πŸ˜› Out of focus but I like hahaha.. Blur blur one…
Right: The pricings. They have other packages too. You can check it out with them. You can book or call them for more information at 082-483636.

That’s how the 5 single guys and girls spent their Valentine’s πŸ˜›

Valentine’s Day 2008

Posted on February 15, 2008February 15, 2008 By sweet surrender 10 Comments on Valentine’s Day 2008

How’s your Valentine’s Day? For me, at least I’m not bored as I used to be. Hahaha… It’s not that I already have a boyfriend to spend it with, it’s just that I have quite a number of single friends to spend my day with yesterday. How do we celebrate? We went to Enter K to sing karaoke from 3pm-8pm!! πŸ˜› Hahaha… Will blog more about it later. Next we went to Jalan Song for very late dinner. Will also blog about it later.

After that, we went over to Padungan’s cat statue to take some photos of the stalls selling Valentine’s goodies. Not many people setup stalls this year and the traffic wasn’t as bad as it used to be. I got to know that many of my friends had to go back to cook instant noodle instead of having romantice dinner together last time because everywhere were packed! Traffic was so jam from the MBKS swimming pool until the city centre. This year is cold… Much like the Chinese New Year, it’s coooold… No CNY mood, no Valentine’s mood as well.

Some photos of the Valentine’s goodies on sale. Not many people buying also. I guess people had changed their way to celebrate or because of the slowing down of the economy… No money…

We took the opportunity to take photo at the cat statue hehehe… My first time taking photo with my friends here. I think I had my photo taken here like decades ago, not so sure, can’t recall hahaha… If not then this is my first time taking photo here hahaha…

Oh by the way, the two on the left are not single πŸ˜› They are couple hahaha… The 3 on the right are single… Poor us… The one holding the camera too.

Chapter 7: The Dream

Posted on February 14, 2008February 14, 2008 By sweet surrender 6 Comments on Chapter 7: The Dream

I know, I know… It’s been more than one month already that I didn’t continue my story. Since it’s Valentine’s day today, I will continue the story from Chapter 6: The First Phone Call…

One morning he called me right after he woke up, I just woke up that time too. He told me that he dreamt of me. ME TOO!!! The weirdest thing was that we dreamt about almost the same thing on the same night!!

His version:
We were at Coffee Bean having a drink, I ordered Latte and he ordered Cappuccino. After the drink, we went to the beach and he taught me how to jetski. After jetski, we sat on the beach watching the sunset, kiss and made out under the coconut trees at the beach!

My version:
We were at the beach. He taught me how to jetski. After he’s confident that I could do it on my own, he just stood at the beach and watched. I’m a PRO! Pro in really really PRO! He was stunned. I told him that I know how to jetski just that I wanted him to “teach” me. After that, we just sat under the coconut trees at the beach and watched the sunset.

He told me his dream before I told him mine. When he told me I was like you-are-kidding-me. OH MY! There were just so many similarities!!

1. The beach
2. Watching sunset under the coconut trees
3. Jetski except I’m a pro in my dream, I’m a beginner in his dream

See the the connections?

In my real life, I won’t order latte as I’m not a coffee drinker.
In my real life, I’ve never been on a jetski.
In my real life, I won’t make out under the coconut trees at the beach!

I think we got this dream because we were chatting about jetskiing the other day. He liked to jetski and he owned one/two(can’t recall or did he sold one off) jetski(s)(two different horsepowers of course) in Singapore. He would go out to the sea to jetski with his friends when they are free.

This dream is special and unique to us. After this dream, we never had any kind of dream similar to this.

Happy Valentine’s Day everyone. May you live happily ever after with your prince/princess.

Sushi King With My Family

Posted on February 13, 2008February 13, 2008 By sweet surrender 4 Comments on Sushi King With My Family

This happened like somewhere last month. Was supposed to post it few days before the grand opening but decided against it and dragged till today. Didn’t know where to eat and I suggested that we had lunch at Sushi King, Boulevard Mall since I have the Sushi King card and could get 10% discount.

Since my parents don’t like seaweed, don’t like raw fish, so I had to order the set meals for them. The picture looked really nice and big portion, I decided to ordered 3 set meals for the 4 of us.

Left: Sakana Black Pepper(RM15.90), Deep fried dory fish in black pepper sauce with mixed vegetables, served with egg custard, miso soup, steamed rice and ice cream. πŸ™ GOSH! The portion, the taste and the look is so disappointing! I can get better set meal at other Japanese restaurants in Kuching with this kind of price. I was even told my parents that the set meal is worth it judging from my first time there *CUSS* Then It came out like this!

Right: Another disappointment, Beef Yakiniku(RM18.90), Pan fried beef in BBQ sauce with mixed vegetables, served with egg custard, miso soup, steamed rice and ice cream. Pathetic!!! Only few slices of beef!!! I counted and there’re less than 10 pieces! Same thing, the portion, the taste and the look is so disappointing.

The third set, I ordered Cold Soba Set(RM17.90), this set is OK, not disappointing as I ordered it on my first visit. However, my parents and bro didn’t like it, said that it’s tasteless hahaha… Also took one plate of baby octopus from the kaiten which is RM6 per plate.

The total spent was RM61+(after discount), service tax is 10%, GST is 5%. In other word, the card is for service tax discount *LOL* I felt so bad for bringing my parents there and spent so much on a lunch(they paid of course :P) that gave them bad impression -.-‘ They said no more second time but to make me feel good, they said that at least they can tell their friends that they had tried Sushi King before and they don’t like it! Hahaha… However my dad said that it’s worth it only if you know how to eat the stuff on the kaiten which they don’t ;p hahaha…

Guess What?!?!!? My bro even asked my dad to buy some of the sushi home for dinner on the 4th day of CNY *lol* Only bought about RM12, not much… Just to eat for fun hahaha…

Don’t copy my answers! *KICK YOU*

1. Advertlets has a new ad campaign for a new client that will run in multiple countries. Guess how many countries will it be running in?
I know, I know… 8!! They are Singapore, China, Australia, New Zealand, Malaysia, Hong Kong, Japan and India.

2. February 14 is a significant date. As I am single this year, what will me and the Advertlets team most likely be spending the next few late nights working on, and announcing/launching on Feb 14? Hint: Most relationships are based on one person and how many parties?
Hmm… Just my wild guess… It’s high time to have an exclusive club! I’ve been waiting for it for ages but who knows the other companies introduced it first! I hope you are working on it… I will definitely be part of it! Of course the final touch of new Advertlets website.

3. When was Advertlets founded, and what will we most likely launch on our first anniversary?
Advertlets is founded on… I know it’s not February!!! 23rd March 2007 is wrong also! I guess it’s the time they register the domain, 4th January 2007 πŸ˜› LOL!! The new look of Advertlets of course and I want the exclusive club thinggy also! I’m going to remove the other one because… My earning didn’t move a single bit since the last ad they assigned to me πŸ™

Sigh… I don’t know which is right and wrong, thought of changing my answer again last night but stupid Streamyx isn’t working!! Can’t do much anymore πŸ™
