Can Eat One?

Posted on October 5, 2008October 6, 2008 By sweet surrender 6 Comments on Can Eat One?

This is not a paid post OK? It’s just something I got and would love to share it with you. If you want to know where to get it, you can go to Alysha’s House to get it. She didn’t pay me for this. I just think that it’s cute and I’m sure many people is looking high and low on where to buy it.
Biscuit and chocolate. It’s actually something you can hang on your mobile phone. Some of you might have seen one on my phone before, the biscuit. According to my bro, it looks real, the surface feels real but it’s soft like as if it’s not fresh anymore *LOL*

Then the chocolate one, I was suprised that it actually smells like chocolate! Smells of caramel, looks real, texture very soft as if the chocolate is melting.

If you are intersted to get some, there’s earrings too! Go find Alysha for it ;p

So… So… Vain

Posted on October 4, 2008October 5, 2008 By sweet surrender 4 Comments on So… So… Vain

There! It’s been a while not posting any photo of myself. These were taken last Thursday before going to the wedding banquet. I think this post might scare some people off from visiting my blog.

Ah well… It’s been a while not doing all these dressing up thing because I’m very lazy.

All the above are heavily editted at the eye area because of my eye bags, dark circles and the slightly swallon right eye. All these were so obvious because of the lighting in my room that gave heavy shadow below my eyes.

The only photo that isn’t editted is the second one.

Notice that my eyes were bigger than usual? *LOL* Just some makeup tricks, the right eyeshadow and double eyelid tapes.

As for my hair, it took me about 1 hour to sort of straightened them.

This whole dress up thing took me about 1 and half hour ;p Girl… What to do? Here’s the products that I had used:

I didn’t use much products, just basic ones. Guys, don’t be surprised, this is just very little. There are people that are using so much more products than these, these are just the basics. Normally I only use foundation and blusher. Mascara is only when I’m in the mood.

Face: Maybelline Angelfit foundation in light ochre, Boots No7 High Lights Illuminating Powder(my sis got this from UK), and in2it blusher.

Eye: Benefit Creaseless Cream Shadow-Liner Birthday Suit and the brown colour of Shiseido Eyeshadow BR754, Everyday Mineral Multitasking Concealer, Maybelline Volum’ Express Hypercurl, and Guardian Double Eyelid Tape.

Lips: I just realised I forgot to take photos of the lips products that I used! So absent minded. Basically they are Lip Ice Fruity as the base, then Sheer Color and topped with Revlon Super Lustrous Lipgloss in Pink Crystal.

Hair: Heat protector, straightening iron, and mousse. Lazy to list out the products’ brand ;p also forgot to take photo of them.

Oh ya… First time camwhore with my new camera after dressing up.

1st Time Attending Relative’s Wedding

Posted on October 3, 2008October 3, 2008 By sweet surrender 1 Comment on 1st Time Attending Relative’s Wedding

Surprise or not? *LOL* This is the first one, attending the dinner banquet.

Our family is pretty different, even if there’s someone got married, there’s no such big hu-ha about it. No tea ceremony, no banquet, no inivitation etc. Just a simple announcement by mouth that pass from one to another. So far, only two of my cousins got married in almost 10 years and there’s no such tradition at all. My parents always told us to keep things as simple as possible as they are not fond of all these hu-ha also. I know many people will open their eyes wide wide now hahaha… As we believe the most important thing is to get married legally and to maintain a marriage. Others are not important, no matter how grand your wedding is, if you don’t know how to maintain your marriage, there is no use also.

This one, caught me by surprise. It’s not a very close relative of mine. Just happened that my uncle(my dad’s bro) is the bride’s God father else we won’t be invited. The bride is actually my cousin’s cousin. It’s pretty distant hahaha… My bro and I weren’t invited but instead we went as representatives of my aunt and uncle in Singapore.

Since the bride’s father is a businessman who manufacturers one of the famous keropok in Kuching, there’s definitely keropok served on the tables.

Too bad, we were seated at the very very very corner, couldn’t really see the stage or anything. I had to zoom in until using my digital zoom. It didn’t help much also with so many people in front of us and the drink station was located just behind me where the waiters and waitresses would be blocking my view with their butts! Then the uncle from another table kept blocking my view by always going to the other table to talk, all I saw was his butt! Lots of heads too. Sigh…

That’s how it was. So I can only share food photos with you. Even the food photos turned out blurred coz I just simply snapped.

Left: Very salty peanuts.
Right: First time see this kind of combination dish. Baby octopus with kimchi under it, Hiyashi Wakame with jellysih under it and etc. According to the menu, this is called Prawn Salad Combination.

Left: Shark’s Fin Soup with Dried Seafood. Quite salty and as if something was missing. Hmm…
Right: “Dong Po” Pork, as usual, this is what you always got in Chinese banquet be it for wedding, birthday or association gathering. The pork was SO FATTY! *sweat*

Left: “Teo-Chew” Steamed Golden Promfret. Huge fish!
Right: Stewed Duck with Sea Cucumber. Kinda salty. Was full already…

Left: Prawn Ball with Fresh Scallops and Vegetables. Ate a bit only, full…
Right: “Tangui” Chicken, drank the soup only, everyone was full!

Left: Longan Cocktail. Something cooling for the hot weather.
Right: Something for the guest to bring back.

So that’s all 😉

Dinner @ Imperial Duck

Posted on October 2, 2008March 9, 2022 By sweet surrender 2 Comments on Dinner @ Imperial Duck

Had dinner at Imperial Duck on the eve of Raya. My dad decided to go there to try so we just followed.

We sat down and I totally forgotten what I should order even though my friend had told me what to order there. It was quite packed when we were there. Sat down and wasn’t in any mood to eat anything, was full with the junk food I had earlier. ;p

Left: The open concept kitchen.
Right: Barbecue Pork(three-layer meat), RM8. Quite salty, must have this with plain rice.

Left: “Char Seow” with barbecue pork noodle(RM7). This was the wrong dish. Supposed to be “Char Seow” with Imperial Duck noodle. They took it back and replaced the pork with duck meat.
Right: “Char Seow” with Imperial Duck noodle(RM7), the correct one.

Left: Imperial Duck Hong Kong Style(RM12). Nothing much to rave about the taste of duck though, it tasted like the usual duck whenever there’s dinner banquet at Thian Court. The sauce was pretty salty. Luckily isn’t that boney as many people complained. However, the duck was indeed skinnier than the duck we usually bought from other places. I think maybe the ducks were given lots of exercise before they were slaughtered, very healthy duck! Hahaha… Just my stupid theory ;p
Right: Local kailan cooked with oyster sauce(RM5). I saw the bill and it stated “oystal”. There’s this typo there in the computer system!

I ordered this, Stewed Combination Rice(RM5.50), it took me ages to finish it! I did not have much appetite and all the dishes ordered were quite heavy and oily. Don’t ask me to comment about it because I tasted nothing that night! My taste buds weren’t that receptive. I just ate for the sake of eating that’s all.

Overall bill was RM44.60 including two glasses of drinks and two bowls of plain rice. No tax.

Told you I didn’t have much appetite and not in the mood for Chinese food. In fact I’m not really fond of Chinese food ;p Sometimes even by just looking at them I would feel full already. Well… Maybe I’ve been eating all these food at home, never lack of supplies coz my parents always like to dabao things like this back especially when my mom is lazy to cook ;p
