Cisco Certification

Posted on July 22, 2008 By sweet surrender No Comments on Cisco Certification

IT graduates definitely know or heard of Cisco certification. If you don’t know, then I really don’t know what are you studying this field for. I ever thought of taking it after my degree as something extra, which can help in getting employment but I didn’t go for it at the end. Don’t ask me why hahaha… I just got a bit fed up with IT that’s all hahaha… What kind of excuse is that?!?!

Anyway, I know many people who went for this certification after they graduated. It’s very popular among the IT professionals as this certificate can help them in there career. There are so many IT graduates out there, imagine so many of them went for the interview and only some with Cisco certification. I’m sure those with this certification will have better chance of being shortlisted because with the rising global need for IT infrastructure, it has created a high demand for qualified IT professionals to design, maintain, and support these networks.

So? Have you got yours? If you are in IT field and is trying get better pay, get promoted or planning to get a job in a bigger firm, you should take this certification. I’m sure you will never regret it.

How to get started? You have to find out which certification is right for you. Cisco provides 4 levels and you have to decide which level you are in whether it’s the Entry, Associate, Professional and Expert. Besides that, there are many types of certifications available. Once you had identified your level and the certification, you can find any Cisco Learning Partners, Cisco Learning Solutions Partners, and their sponsored organizations to sign up. You can find out all about them at Cisco.com

Sunflower Seeds aka Kuaci

Posted on July 21, 2008July 21, 2008 By sweet surrender 9 Comments on Sunflower Seeds aka Kuaci

I’m sure we all are familiar with kuaci aka sunflower seeds.

This kind the one I’m showing here is really really addictive. This is because it’s not tasteless and it has this sweet and buttery aroma. That sweet and salty with buttery taste is just so yummy 😛 The aroma can be really strong, you can even smell it without opening the packet.

Before this buttered flavoured kuaci was introduced, all we had was original, salty or sweet type. After it’s introduced more than a decade ago, it was so popular, everyone was eating it! Until suddenly one day news reports saying that Cyclamate is used and it caused bad effect to health. It was banned, if I’m not mistaken. Here are some information about Cyclamate I got from Wiki:

Cyclamate is an artificial sweetener. Cyclamate is 30–50 times sweeter than sugar (depending on concentration; it is not a linear relationship), making it the least potent of the commercially used artificial sweeteners… In 1966, a study reported that some intestinal bacteria could desulfonate cyclamate to produce cyclohexylamine, a compound suspected to have some chronic toxicity in animals… Cyclamates appear to affect cells involved in the production of spermatozoa, the question has also been raised as to whether they may also be capable of damaging male reproductive DNA. There does not yet seem to be any direct evidence either for or against this.

It’s been years already and slowly it made a come back and gain back its popularity again. Now, the packaging claims that there’s no cyclamate in this product.

How many of you like this? Having it once in a while is really nice. Love the salty, buttery, and sweet taste of it. It’s really addictive!

At least now I’m posting something you can get locally hehehe…

Peanut Cookies

This is from UK… I think… At least it came all the way back from UK to Kuching 😛 Don’t have the packaging with me that’s why I don’t have any detail that I can share.

The cookies are quite big. Once I opened the container, the aroma of the peanuts smelt so heavenly. It’s not very sweet, it’s very crunchy couple with the peanuts it’s crunchier. The taste of the cookies and the peanuts blended so well. I quite like this cookie but I only managed to eat half of the cookie and then the whole container was gone when I wanted to have it the next few days.

Sorry :p Posting so many food that you can’t get locally hehehe… I have nothing else to blog but these! Exam coming in two weeks time, study, study, study, hopefully can get A’s for both hehehe… *cross my fingers*

Vacuum Dried Vegetables

Posted on July 19, 2008July 19, 2008 By sweet surrender 12 Comments on Vacuum Dried Vegetables

Finally it’s my turn to experience the unstable line. Server been up and down lately and it’s all our beloved broadband’s problem, what to do? It’s based in Malaysia and it’s using the same backbone, so what to expect?

I blogged about the vacuum dried fruits, now it’s vegetables. My sis bought this from Ta Kiong, tHe Spring. I thought it would taste yucky like the fruits but it’s not. It’s pretty tasty especially the long bean. Besides the long bean, there were carrot, cucumber, potato, and yam.

Very colourful don’t you think so? However, if eating too much in one time it would taste really yucky hahaha… else it tasted real good! Great healthy snacks to have.

Very Very Random

Posted on July 18, 2008July 20, 2008 By sweet surrender 13 Comments on Very Very Random

Very late update today because I’m lazy and busy at the same time.

1. Life is always full with unexpected twists. If we think that we are very unlucky, there are actually more that are worst than us out there. All we can do is to try our best to stay positive and be strong, get help if you need to, share with trusted friend if you can and things happen for a reason. It’s easier said than done. No matter what, we can only hope for the best and hope that the worst will be over soon.

2. Sent my camera to Empress, waiting for feedback. I just realised I forgot to ask whether they will charge me for inspecting the damage of the camera. -.-”

3. OH DEAR! Where should I stay in Penang?!?! Really need help, no guesthouse or lodge please unless they offer personal bathroom, saw many photos of those places on the net and the common bathrooms and toilets really made me lost appetite! YMCA or Eden Fairway Apartment, Batu Feringgi? Which one is more strategic and convenient? Or any place near Georgetown that charges less than RM150/night. Anyone has private apartment there to offer that can rent to me and my 3 friends? 😛

4. Exam coming soon… Scary… Don’t know what to expect.

5. Time flies like no body business… It’s almost August and felt like many things aren’t done yet.

6. There’s some personal problems that I still can’t find a good way to solve, it’s been like this for almost 4 years, sigh… I don’t think of it most of the time but when I do, it really causes me huge headache and emotional distress.

7. If you want to sue a blogger, you can directly contact them tru’ their blog! Why do you want to spend so much time and money to go a big round?!?! You thought we will give you any detail? No way! Even with legal letter, in your dream! Even we are to give you, there is no guarnatee that the details are 100% accurate. STUPID!! Such simple thing also don’t know, how to sue people?

Darn… That’s all for this very random post, seems like there’s nothing happy about it, it’s all rant, rant, rant.

Blogging since 2002. Anything before 2006 is no longer available. It is no longer on this server. Back then, I built my own blog and updated it using HTML. No database or anything. Only started blogging fully with a CMS in 2006. However, whatever was on the Internet will stay on the Internet. So... It should be still somewhere on the Internet. Then again... Why do you want to dig that far?
